A nice hotel in a classic courtyard building. Around the corner from Spaccanapoli. A couple of blocks down that street brings you to Chris**as Alley. Steps to Duomo subway station. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Tasty breakfast buffet including pastries, savory items like cheese and prosciutto, fruit, and cappuccino available. I think we paid 5 euros per person per day for the hotel breakfast. There are a couple of flights of steps to enter the hotel. If this is a problem for you, you should be aware that there is no elevator as of April 2024. The entry courtyard has old-time charm; the inside of the hotel contrasts with this and feels quite modern. We visited from Massachusetts--a couple with two adult children. We took two rooms with Queen-sized beds. They kindly put in a temporary cot-style bed in the kids' room so they each had their own space. We were able to use the in-room fridge to cool sandwiches overnight that we bought to take with us for a day trip to Pompeii.

The room was clean and the staff were nice. After this, the property exterior was old, shabby and dirty. The area is filthy and not sure of the safety. Would never stay here again.

Arriving late at night to this so called 4* hotel, I was convinced we must have got the address wrong. It’s a closed metal gate only accessible by ringing a buzzer through to reception. When the (dirty) gate is unlocked, it leads through to a courtyard reminiscent of Glasgow tenement building from the 60’s. Guests must then climb two flights of marble stairs to get to the hotel front door. After this it gets much much better. Nice clean hotel with very friendly & welcoming staff. There is construction work going on during the daytime, elsewhere in the hotel, so it’s very noisy with drilling & hammering etc. with an open window, there is also a lot of traffic noise. The main advantage of the hotel is its very central location, with walking distance to all the main tourist attractions and railway stations for Pompei and Herculaneum etc

I stayed here for two nights but would never return nor recommend this place. The room’s wall lights were coming off (see pictures), TV had no signal (see pictures), shower had mould (see pictures). The only window in the room was too close to the window of the front room’s bathroom window hence we were locked in a room without a window since we had to keep the only room window closed. The breakfast was very very basic and had nothing hot like eggs etc. The property itself had scaffolding which was not advertised (see pictures).

My wife and I stayed here for one night in April as a pit stop before getting a ferry to Sorrento. The hotel was hard to find as the building was covered with scaffolding, with no clear signage from the sidewalk. The receptionist was very welcoming and the check in process was simple and efficient. The room was basic as expected but did include a safety deposit box. Breakfast was odd, but fine. Small selection of cold meats, pastries and cereal served while seated on garden furniture. The location was good, with a selection of bars and restaurants near by. We decided to walk to the port the next morning, this was easy and took 15/20mins.

Super clean and perfectly located. The accommodation is in a charming old building and we even had a little balcony looking over a small street. The staff made us feel right at home…and Massimo the night Porter offered us a friendly welcome back on our return each day and even set up seats on a balcony in the reception area so that we could sit out and enjoy some wine in the evening. I’d highly recommend this place,

Room was nicely updated and very comfortable. Staff was helpful with finding restaurants, transportation and things to see and do. Breakfast was good and was delivered to the room. Location is in a tourist area - lots to see within walking distance. Be warned - there are lots of stairs.
