I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free. The location was convenient with easy access to nearby attractions and transport. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience, and I would consider staying here again.

the hotel is grand, but the fabrics on the sofa, curtains and carpets are old and stained. the breakfast left a lot to be desired: the roast potatoes were cold, of the two coffee machines, only one worked..

Very disappointing experience I’ve stayed at this hotel twice — the first time was okay, but the second stay was a disaster. We called the reception before breakfast and asked them to bring our luggage down while we went to eat, explaining that we were in a hurry and had limited time. I called twice to make sure they understood which room we were in, and both times they said, “Yes, we’ll come right away.” After breakfast, we went to the reception — no luggage. Our taxi had already arrived, and because of the delay, we missed our train. This completely ruined our travel schedule — we were going from Nantong to Shanghai and then to Wuxi — everything got messed up, and our clients were extremely unhappy. Inside, the hotel feels old and worn out. During our second stay, we had to change rooms three times because something didn’t work each time — either the air conditioner, the lights, or something else. There’s also a strong old smell in the rooms. The interior decoration might have looked luxurious a hundred years ago, but not anymore. To be fair, the spa and swimming pool are quite nice, but after such an experience, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

There’s not much to say about Jinshi. Great location, everything is in walking distance, metro station is across the street. The rooms are always spotless, stuff always helpful. Sauna is a nice option, and the front desk, which has English speakers (life-saving) is always more than willing to assist with any issues. It’s my go-to hotel anytime I visit Nantong.

It's very difficult to choose one between Jinshi Hotel and Intercontinental Hotel in Nantong, Jinshi is a Chinese 5 star hotel with good location and their service is really good with better price. Intercontinental is a 5 star International hotel with great decoration and service but in Isolated location far from everything. I stayed in these 2 hotels one after another time, I think I have to add The new Marriott hotel to my list for next time
