Woah! This is one of the best ryokans we’ve been to. The staff was super attentive and could speak some English, the rooms were amazing (see the photos!). The onsen in the room was fantastic so there was no need for us to go to the public or private onsen downstairs. The hotel is located 3 minutes away from the bus station and conveniently situated near everything. We’ve stayed at other ryokans but this one was top notch! We strongly recommend to stay at this place and will try to come back again with friends and family. Oh! The food was wow, too! We had breakfasts and dinners included and the sukiyaki dinner offered Yamagata A5 meat which was to die for. Breakfast was also great!

Extremely nice staffs in the hotel, although some staffs can’t speak fluent English, there’s no problem in communicating as they are very willing to understand the customer by using translator. Breakfast and dinner were fantastic Japanese meals with no repeated dishes. Hotel room was spacious and clean. Hotel will drive you in and out to cater your itinerary! Wish I could’ve stayed longer!

Das Hotel ist gut für Skifahren in und aus, Um in und aus zu gehen braucht ein wenig Geduld, da es auf höherem Boden liegt, aber es gibt einen kostenlosen Shuttle-Service bis 5:30pm. Der Onsen ist das Beste, da es sowohl inner- als auch Außenonsen hat. Es ist so gut, die Schnee zu haben.

Neben dem Zimmer ist ein wenig klein, aber die Ober- und Unterwäsche ist auch gut. Die anderen sind OK. Das Personal ist sehr enthusiastisch und der Hund ist freundlich zu den Kindern.

This hotel is located right next to the ropeway to see the Snow Monsters, which is very convenient. You can easily walk to line up for tickets early in the morning. Another advantage is that the hotel provides some covered parking spaces, so you don’t have to clear snow off your car in the morning. Initially, I accidentally booked a room without dinner included. I tried emailing the hotel to request adding dinner, but unfortunately, I did not receive any response. The room has a private hot bath, but you need to fill it yourself with hot water. The room size is relatively small, and the condition feels quite old. Overall, compared to the very high room price, I don’t think it offers great value for money.
