Beste Hotels mit Fitnessstudio in Monte Gordo

Staying here at the moment and yes the hotel is a bit dated but it is superb, definitely better than 3 stars. Last year we stayed in the 4 star Alcazar Hotel, which is close by, however it is closed this year, which resulted in us choosing Hotel Vasco da Gama. This hotel is much better; location, food, staff, beds, towels, bedding, pools and sunbeds all excellent. There is not a huge choice at dinner but what there is is excellent, resulting in me having difficulty in choosing what to have! Breakfasts are great too. Unfortunately we are going home tomorrow but will definitely be back, already looking to book for next year.

Das Personal war in den zwei Wochen, die ich dort war stets freundlich. Die erste Nacht hatte ich ein Zimmer neben dem Fahrstuhl. Nachdem in mitgeteilt hatte, das ich das nicht möchte, habe ich ein anderes bekommen. Dieses war größer, hatte einen Balkon mit Blick zum Pool .Die Möbel waren grün lackiert und etwas älter. Es gibt aber im Nebenhaus etwas neuere Zimmer. Das Frühstück war immer gleich. Es gab jeden Tag frische Brötchen, Marmelade, etwas Wurst und Käse und Obst. Da im Appartement eine kleine Küche ist, und in der Nähe mehrere Supermärkte sind, kann man das sich leicht selbst machen. Was mir gut gefallen hat, war der kleine aber beheizte Indoorpool. Hier braucht man jedoch eine Bademütze. Zum Stand sind es keine 10 Minuten. Man kann sich im Ort Fahrräder mieten.

Went for 4 days with my daughter, first impressions wasn’t great, looked very basic, the reception area looked basic, and not as knew compared to the photos. The hallway to the rooms were very basic like we were in a 2 star hotel. The room itself had everything you needed but again the decor very basic, the floor and painting of the walls looked cheap. The hairdryer on the wall in the bathroom wasn’t strong enough to dry ur hair. Definitely shouldn’t be a 4 star hotel as I have stayed in a lot better 3 star hotels, Ive never stayed in a 3 star hotel worse than this. Not many staff could speak English, struggled to order at the bar as no one could speak English. The food was awful, not much choice and not very nice. Do not include breakfast or dinner in the booking as cheaper and nicer to eat out. Breakfast was streaked smoky bacon, fried egg, scrambled egg, boiled egg, cereal, fruit, yogurt or meat. It definitely needed a different choice than just serving different kind of eggs, definitely needed to serve beans or plum tomatoes. We just had chips for tea but they did also have chicken casserole. The games room is in the same room as the indoor pool and also in the centre of everything so it felt everyone was looking at you, me and my daughter didn’t feel comfortable using the swimming pool with men drinking playing pool, and other people sitting in the same room drinking alcohol, it was too open. The swimming pool was not heated, when I asked reception if it was going to be heated as it says online she replied it’s never heated. We did try to get in but it was that cold we had to get out. They had two pool tables but only one working. No entertainment, no outdoor pool, nothing for the kids to do. Nothing to do in the local area, Other family’s we met said the same thing. There was places to eat and could walk 5 mins to the beach which was massive and lovely but the beach was the only attraction. I asked if there was anything to do but they said no just the beach, they said they don’t have tour busses or anything in monte gordo all there is to do is eat sleep go on the beach. Not many people speak English in the local area. Overall I wouldn’t recommend the hotel or monte gordo.

Das Hotel ist optisch sehr schön und in der Nähe vom Strand - allerdings voller Jugendlicher. Was uns im ersten Moment nicht störte doch bereits nach dem einchecken informieren wie die Rezeption, da im Zimmer nebenan stundenlang rumgeschrieen wurde. Nachdem wir abends vom Abendessen heimkamen waren die Jugendlichen noch immer sehr laut - mein Ehemann klopfte mehrmals und bat um Ruhe. Gegen zwei Uhr nachts sind die Jugendlichen unter vermutlich Drogen und oder Alkohol Konsum mehrfach gegen unsere Zimmer Türe gesprungen - auch über den Balkon versuchten sie in unser Zimmer zu gelangen. Wir haben mehrfach an der Rezeption angerufen und baten um Hilfe oder die Polizei zu rufen. Mittlerweile wurden es immer mehr Jugendliche und als mein Mann das letzte mal die Türe öffnete gingen sie auf ihn los. Bis ein hotel Mitarbeiter kam hatte mein Mann bereits eine offene Lippe sowie eine Platzwunde am Kopf. Die Mitarbeiter im Hotel hatten die Situation nicht unter Kontrolle - anstelle die Polizei zu rufen (ich hatte auch alles gefilmt) und die Jugendlichen aus dem Hotel zu schmeißen, damit alle anderen Gäste in Ruhe schlafen können haben wir nur einen Eimer mit Eis bekommen. Wir mussten dann um 3 Uhr nachts das Hotel Zimmer wechseln um weitere Konflikte zu vermeiden - das Frühstücks Buffet am nächsten morgen durften wir ebenfalls erst besuchen, sobald die Gruppe abgereist ist. Der Hotel Manager hat nicht einmal mit uns gesprochen - eine Rückerstattung haben wir auch nicht erhalten. Das war wirklich das schlimmste Hotel in dem wir jemals waren! Für die Hotelgäste kann das Hotel nichts - allerdings für den Umhang der Situation schon. Wir würden daher nie wieder diesen Hotel buchen und werden nun auch die eigenständig Polizei einschalten.

The hotel is conveniently located near beach and town centre. Very clean and well run. Room was good and cleaned every day. Pool area good too. Breakfast was fresh and well stocked. The breakfast staff were amazing- as the weekend was a bank holiday- they ran round like whirling dervishes restocking the food, cleaning tables etc. Reception staff helpful too. One point- no bottle of water in the fridge on arrival- I expect that after a long journey. Yes I’d recommend it

Meiner Meinung nach war das Frühstück am besten. Sie wechselten uns das Zimmer und sagten, es sei höher, aber das, das wir gebucht hatten, war reformiert und mit Dusche, und das, das sie uns nicht gab. Und obwohl wir uns hinunter und erklärten, dass wir es so vorbehalten, weil es schwierig ist, keine Badewanne zu benutzen, aber sie sagten, sie hätten keine andere. Deshalb ein großer Negativpunkt. Und was die Anlagen betrifft, sagen Sie, sie haben einen Außenpool, Innenpool ...(dies ist Teil des Spas, das Sie bezahlen müssen und sagt es nicht an irgendwo, sondern wenn Sie dort ankommen. In die Anlagen wie der Außenpool, und es hat keine Kosten, Sie sollten uns davon überzeugen, dass es auf der Website des Hotels gesagt wurde, aber wir alle haben festgestellt, dass es nicht stimmt. Sie sollten es kosten (wie andere Teile des Hotels oder Aktivitäten) und nicht Kunden fangen, indem sie solche Dinge versäumen.

The Calema is situated on a backstreet just a few minutes from the beach. Initial impressions are good. The public areas are clean and reasonably well maintained. The gym seemed busy but the pool was totally unused. My room was clean and consisted of a small bedroom and bathroom with a larger kichenette and living area with a balcony. The kitchen equipment was sticky, unsurprising given that neither washing up liquid or tea towels were provided, with a random selection of cups and plates. My friends in other rooms fared better or worse suggesting poor management of the cleaning team. The single beds are rock hard and very narrow, but I slept well. Unfortunately a dead bird appeared on my balcony halfway through my stay which I reported four times on successive day, but it was still there on departure. The restaurant was poor. Cold breakfast options only and limited choices. The evening buffet was even worse with no vegetarian options or even labelling to tell you what you might be eating. After the first night we realised that we needed to eat at the start of the stated period as the food soon cooled and nothing was topped up. Vegetables were either cooked to death or missing altogether. For example, one night a single melon was put out along with another item, when they ran out quickly (before we got to that stage) a few small bowls of red jelly (of indeterminate flavour) were put out. An odd man also seemed to be hanging around glaring at people (we were told that he was the owner but he did no obvious work). Most days he seemed to be in the lounge with his phone loudly on speaker either shouting into it or watching something, making it impossible to have a quiet drink in the bar. One evening he hosted some sort of family meal after which one of the children was given the key to the piano. She then proceeded to play very badly and loudly. We complained to the man and he just shrugged. We left along with our fellow guests. So in summary, the Calema could be a good hotel but it needs some management attention, a decent food offering and for the owner to respect that we are paying guests and that the public areas are not an extension of his living room.
