I don’t typically leave reviews but our stay at the Kimpton Virgilio was exceptional. The staff, the room, the restaurant were all amazing. It was super convenient for us to leave our bags there beforehand and afterwards, which was great while we explored the city. We also were running the Mexico City Marathon and they were extremely helpful with providing us advice on getting there at 5am in the morning. I would like to call out Rodrigo, the front desk who was extremely helpful throughout our stay. If you’re staying in Mexico City, I could not recommend the Kimpton more.

Einfache Lage im Herzen von Zona Rosa, wenige Schritte von einer Hauptbahnhof-Metrobahn, in der Nähe von Reforma, Condesa, etc.

Es ist das dritte Mal in diesem Hotel, wir werden dort bleiben, da der Preis recht fair ist, die Lage ist nur groß, nahe der Hauptbahnhof, der Stadtzentrum und die wichtigsten touristischen Orte. Das Hotel ist sehr gut für die Mitarbeiter, und wir möchten Javier und Juan Carlos erwähnen, da sie zwischen Rezeption, Bellboys und Butlers sind, sie sind immer hilfreich. Stephany aus dem Front Desk war sehr nett und enthusiastisch. Glauben Sie, sie sind kurz mit der Hauspflegeabteilung ausgestattet, da die Wartungspersonal ihre Arbeit machen ... Einfaches, von Kaffee in ein Zimmer zu nehmen oder sogar ein Klopfer. Ich hoffe nur, sie geben ihnen einen Extra für andere Dinge. Unser erstes Zimmer war nie sauber oder was, als wir wieder ins Ruhe kamen, sie wechselten uns zu einem anderen, das wir danken, aber Hauspflege muss auf sein. Punkte, Details, Grundsätze und ihre Checkliste müssen immer Priorität haben. Auch in der Nacht des 17., etwas passierte, dass andere Gäste gerade zu viel Lärm gemacht, bis 3-4am, da wir viele Zeit aufwachen und konnten nichtruhen ... Wenn Sie das Dokument lesen, das Sie unterschreiben, sind Teil der Regeln und Politiken, um anderen zu respektieren Nachtzeit, sie müssen an diesem harten Arbeiten. Very clean hostel and great facilities. Most evenings there’s events at the hostel like karaoke or movie nights. Or if that’s not for you there’s loads of great bars and clubs nearby. The hostel provides free tours around the city. Jair took my group on a cycling tour and a trip via the subway to Coyacan. He speaks great English, knows everything about the city and is fun to have a joke with. Deserves all the tips.

Stayed 7 nights with my partner at this wonderful hotel, which is centrally located (10 minute walk to the main Zocalo square with lots of shopping nearby) and has a very good bar/restaurant on-site. The rooms are new with firm beds, thick towels and linens, a hot shower, daily maid service, a medium-sized safe that can hold a tablet, good climate control, and a Nespresso coffee machine. A filtered water dispenser to refill water bottles is quite the advantage in the lobby. The gym on the 2nd floor is modern with very usable equipment, and is located next to an outdoor terrace. The breakfast buffet was very good with several choices. Antonio and Nayla provided excellent customer service during breakfast, and Antonio also alerted me to breakfast options that were healthier for my sensitive stomach. The lobby staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, I rate this hotel an 8 or 9 out of 10 and would definitely stay here again. That being said, I would like to offer some suggestions to Novotel to make the hotel room a bit better for travelers. This new, minimal hotel room concept means that there are no dresser drawers for storing clothing, and there’s only one spot in the hanging metal “closet” for storing one suitcase - the other person must put their suitcase on the floor . One must live out of their suitcase during the entire stay, which is very annoying. This can easily be remedied by having more hangers (10 instead of 5?) in the closet, and having one or two folding luggage racks available. Also, another side table is needed beside the bed, since there’s only one. The person sleeping on the left side of the bed must put their water, glasses, phone, etc. on the floor, since there’s no side table, or place their items far away on the desk. Also, the thick towels keep falling off the three very lame wooden towel “knobs”. These knobs need to be replaced or extended outward in order to be able to hold a load. I would hang up my wet towel and it would immediately fall onto the floor. We fought with this the entire week. The hotel would save a lot of money by not having to wash towels every day that have fallen onto the floor. Additionally, perhaps for an upcharge, a small refrigerator could be placed in the room. These minor issues did not affect our overall satisfaction of this hotel.

Unfortunately I am not staying in the hotel but go every morning to the hotel’s restaurant for breakfast, and for ice latte in the afternoon. The staff is amazing! Friendly, polite, attentive! Green juice is fresh and tasty, cappuccino is great, just like ice latte. I had avocado toast with poached eggs for breakfast, which was perfectly prepared, got some fresh fruits before. Really healthy and tasty for a really good price. The restaurant looks nice and has a chic vibe! I will keep coming back until I’m here on vacation. I also go the the hotel’s gym every day which is very well equipped and clean, has a lot of space and types to free weights, cardio and weight machines to use.

Nos hemos quedado en varias ocasiones cuando venimos a CDMX. Normalmente bien, detalles pero cosas normales. Llegamos en esta ocasión, nos tocó una habitación remodelada pero hubo ruido toda la noche, como si arrastraran cosas, o estuvieran trabajando, además, en el muro de la habitación se oye un sonido extraño, se marcó a las 4 de la mañana a recepción y nos dijeron que la habitación de a un lado estaba vacía y que era imposible que hubiera ruido, que no podían ayudar. Ni siquiera lo vinieron a revisar o algo. No pudimos dormir en toda la noche. El ruido del muro continúa.

Excelente servicio por parte de todo el Staff del hotel, la recepcionista muy atenta y en todo momento dando los detalles sobre nuestro alojamiento, el desayuno incluido muy rico y sobre todo el trato del Sr. Armando que fue excelente en todo momento, muy amable, atento y servicial, gracias a personas cómo él, hacen la estancia muy amena, recomiendo muchísimo Hotel City Express La Villa!
