Das Bild auf der Website ist für ein Vorzimmer. Es kostet uns $190 für Donnerstag und Montag und $198 für Freitag und Samstag Abende. Es ist gerade auf der Lygon Street, die sehr laut mit dem Verkehr ist. Das Zimmer hatte einen kleinen Balkon. Seltsamerweise gibt es keine Hotelkette in Carlton, aber nachdem wir am Clocktower (die sehr grundlegende ist) geblieben haben, haben wir für diese Unterkunft gewählt. Es hat einen kleinen Aufzug, aber Sie gehen durch den Park, die Vergangenheit Boxen und Stücke alte Möbel, Gummi-Bins usw. zu erreichen. Das Zimmer selbst war ziemlich groß, mit einem separaten Badezimmer (sehr kleine Dusche) und Küchenbereich. Es war sauber und die Handtücher waren gut, Toilettenpapier sehr billig und dünn, immer eine Sorge. Der Klimaanlage in unserem Zimmer arbeitete die Nacht, bevor wir verließen, und die Badezimmertür Handtücher wurde sehr los, als eine Schraubenkappe aus ihr fiel. Lygon St selbst sieht traurig aus, mit vielen Restaurants und Geschäften für Miete oder dauerhaft geschlossen, dank Covid. Für fast tausend Dollar für 5 Nächte werden wir nicht wieder hier bleiben.

The staff were not following COVID protocols. None wore masks. Day manager actually spoke to us with mask on chin and AROUND the safety barrier. One pen used for everything by everyone. Night manager & staff as well as other guests were all maskless. We were not asked to show proof of our vaccination status. Inspired ZERO confidence that they were actually sanitising anything. My partner also felt unsafe as there were a lot of people loitering around the building. The room was clean and tidy. Located excellently for the event we were attending. Hot water worked, loved the choice of flooring. That was all. The room offered only one single bar of soap. No shower gel, shampoo or any extra toiletries as is expected from even the most basic accomodation you can stay in anywhere else. I have stayed in youth hostels in the outback and even they offered more than a tiny bar of soap. There was no indications of any extra services offered or being available. There were no extra pillows or blankets available in the room. One very flat pillow per person and a thin doona only. The pillows were so low that I could not sleep on it and when I asked for another pillow from the night manager I was met with rudeness. He finally gave me an old, dirty pillow with no pillow case (see photos). When I asked for a pillow case he acted like I was being ridiculous. We slept badly as the bed was very hard. Actually went home and slept as we were so tired from the uncomfortable bed. Upon checkout we got stuck in the lift as the door to the G floor would not open. We finally called for help using the phone but even though the front desk manager answered and said he would be with us immediately he was not. We finally left by going back to our floor and using the fire escape to exit via the basement parking. He then told us he couldn’t hear what we were saying on the phone so basically ignored us, and then gave some rubbish excuse about the one elevator being an old one that was not for guests. Basically if we had not exited the way we did we would have been stuck in the elevator for hours being ignored. There was no signage indicating anywhere that one of the two lifts was not for guests, and if the lift was not for guests you would think it would be clearly marked so.

We chose the Miami because it was very close to the venue we were going to see a live show at. What a gem. Right from our arrival, staff were helpful and friendly. Nothing seemed too much trouble. We were given an upgrade that gave as a fabulous view of the city. Our room was large, bed very comfortable, bathroom well appointed (they even had shaving cream), couple of chairs to sit on and, one thing we love, mugs for tea or coffee. Everything was spotless. WiFi was good. There is parking on site at a fee. Some undercover but also spaces for those higher vehicles that can’t fit underneath. There is a guest kitchen which would be great for longer stays. We stayed on a Friday night and had no noise issues. Cafes, pubs and restaurants are all within walking distance and a tram stop is just down the road. On our trips into town, we usually stay at a much more expensive hotel but from now on the Miami will be our go to property. Very reasonably priced, great staff and comfortable beds, what more could you ask for?

Not recommended for those who value their personal data security and privacy. Not recommended for internati9nal travellers who may not have enough charge on their phones to complete 3 forms, then download and set up an app that requires constant internet and Bluetooth connections. Booking required multiple insecure methods of sharing credit card details and identification documents along with 2 forms to fill out with personal details and an app to download in order to gain access to the Building entrance, Elevator, and Apartment. None of this information was given to me prior to booking. I would not have stayed here if I had known the extent of insecure transmission of personal information and amount of admin and work required just to check in and stay one night. I work in this space and know the risks. Management is putting guests personal data at risks with the excessive documentation requests. FYI, requiring someone to send credit card PICTURES and ID pictures over email is completely insecure. This is bizarrely at odds with the excessive security to get into the building. The constant need to carry your phone everywhere or you'd be locked of the apartment or even the whole building was extremely stressful. In terms of the actual room, once I got in, the bed, kitchen, lounge and floors were clean but the toilet had not been cleaned in a long time. This was not nice. You could see parts under the rim had not been cleaned in years. Toilet had also been recently used and not flushed properly upon arrival. I did not take photos of any of this, it was too gross. I ended up buying paper cups as the glasses/cups as those supplied were not clean, tried to take a picture but it's hard to see. They were covered in fingerprints and fibres of some kind. The view was nice and loungeroom was great, study nook was extremely handy for remote work. Balcony tiles are moving and could be a tripping hazard. Laundry was well equipped but did not have time to use it.

We were warmly greeted and served by front desk personnel Tina on 28-Nov-2023 evening. Everyone is equally helpful, even though it is a busy hotel with many travellers checking in and out. Hotel room is simple but the hotel location is great, right beside the Chinatown and the CBD area etc. You can walk to anywhere, K-Mart, plenty of restaurants and shops. Lovely breakfast spread enough to start our day well 🥰

Melbourne, supergünstiges Hotel ~ die letzte Eröffnung seit 23 Jahren Koordinaten: Innenstadt. Wenn Sie vom Flughafen Melbourne abfliegen, nehmen Sie den Skybus, steigen aus dem Bus aus und gehen etwa 5 Minuten zu Fuß, um anzukommen. Schräg gegenüber dem Hotel befindet sich das Ritz-Carlton, die Nummer eins in Melbournes Luxusliste, und es ist nur 20 Meter entfernt zu Fuß. Der Preis, als ich es gebucht habe, lag bei etwa 350 Messern, für ein Balkonzimmer von 90 Quadratmetern ist das ein tolles Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis! Als ich an der Rezeption ankam, konnte ich kein Chinesisch und wusste nicht, welche administrativen Leistungen in meiner Reservierung enthalten waren. Ausstattung: Wohnzimmer, Esszimmer, Bürobereich, 2 Toiletten, Badezimmer und Schlafzimmer. Es gibt kostenlosen Tee, Kaffee und Milch. Der Balkon ist auch super groß, allerdings gibt es keine Aussicht. Es gibt auch einen Innenpool und einen Fitnessraum. Die Zimmerkarte ist sehr individuell und umweltfreundlich und besteht aus Holz. Nachteile: Das Design der Badewanne ist etwas schrecklich, es gibt kein Licht, abgeschrägt und luftdicht. Auch die Badewanne war undicht.

Budget-Hotel mit sehr zentraler Lage. Nur wenige Schritte vom Bahnhof Flinders Street entfernt und in der Nähe mehrerer Straßenbahnhaltestellen. Es gibt auch viele Einkaufszentren in der Nähe. Alles in allem ein günstiger und komfortabler Aufenthalt. Für den Winter wurde eine Heizung bereitgestellt.

Das Hotel liegt in einer tollen Lage, direkt im CBD Melbourne und einen kurzen Spaziergang vom südlichen Kreuzbahnhof entfernt. Das Hotelpersonal war sehr hilfreich und bot mir das Gepäck auf. Insgesamt war mein Zimmer sauber und vernünftig bezahlt.

Our stay at four point was really good. Room was big, service was good and the location was also very convenient. Will definitely return for stay when in Melbourne..

We arrived out of hours and were expecting trouble however it was a simple phone call and we got our key. We got a great deal on our accommodation, which had more than enough for our needs. The facilities (pool etc) were great and everything in our room worked perfectly. the air con was cold and quiet, the TV was a decent size and the bed was comfortable. The only thing I noticed was the walls (toilet) and curtains (main entrance) are a little dirty (probably due to being a specific room for lots of children?) however this is just fussy. I will most definitely stay at Discovery Park again without any hesitation. From check in to check out it was easy, quiet and stress free exactly what I needed
