Hotel La Luna was just a lovely place to stay whilst we explored Lucca and the surrounding area. It was very well located for the Centro Storico, only a couple of hundred yards from the Piazza Antifeatro. The rooms were very comfortable (especially the beds) and were always kept clean and tidy. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff in the hotel and they were very attentive to guests. There was a good range of foods available for breakfast each day from pastries and cakes to boiled eggs to the traditional cooked meats and cheeses. All in all a very pleasant stay.

Etwas außerhalb der Stadtmauer von Lucca gelegen. Hotelsehr sauber. Sehr freundliches Personal. Wir hatten eine äußerst große Suite. Super! Separater Schlaf-/ Wohnraum mit riesigem Balkon. Für italienische Verhältnisse ein sehr gutes Frühstücksbüffett für nur 5,00 Euro!

This place is a little gem. 10 minutes drive from Lucca and a wonderful base to see the sites around Tuscany. We stayed here for a week and got home yesterday. The staff are amazing a shout out to all the staff in the restaurant at breakfast and evening who we have chats and lots of laughter with they really are a credit to this place. The reception staff were all amazing also nothing was to much trouble always had a smile on their face. The room was lovely and big, beautiful bathroom and amazing windows with shutters. This was my first holiday this year and I decided to stay at Bagni di Pisa for 5 nights to celebrate my birthday and for a relaxing holiday in a very quiet and tranquil area. And quiet it is as I had very good night sleep all throughout my stay. Bed was comfortable and the Comfort double room I had was quite spacious and lovely decorated. Please bear in mind that this hotel is a typical Italian palazzo with antique furniture but this was a plus for me as it gives the hotel its unique character. I was on half board basis. The food was always good and the food menu and wine list were quite varied also offering typical stuff from the region. WiFi was so and so. The spa area was very good with heated indoor pools. Even the outdoor pool which was my favorite is heated. They offer also sauna and massages and I recommend their massage therapists highly especially a certain Alexandra and Caterina (if I’m not mistaken) - I felt rejuvenated, so thank you ! Housekeeping was done twice a day and toiletries offered were of very good quality. However even though I enjoyed my stay I have some reservations as follows: 1) This hotel is not adults only; 2)Even though the location is lovely and the hotel is situated overlooking the hills it’s quite detached from anything else albeit the train station which is situated just 8mins walk away; 3) At dinner they literally force you to take wine so you feel compelled to take wine - for a person like me who is a bit alcohol intolerant this is quite irritating; 4) Check the final bill when you checkout as you might have differences here and there- in my case there was a huge mistake but it was rectified immediately. I also noticed that prices shown here and there do not include tax- so watch out! 5) There’s no security anywhere inside or outside the building which for a huge place like this, which also caters for weddings etc, is quite unacceptable if not strange!! All in all I enjoyed it very much and I really appreciated the lovely gift the management gave me for my birthday but somehow I felt that there was something lacking. Even though all staff were cordial and friendly I didn’t feel at home…

Tutto incantevole, il giardino, il portico con la vite dove è servita la colazione, la zona piscina, il laghetto, la stanza col portichetto. La signora gentilissima, disponibile e sempre sorridente, ci ha cercato un posto per la cena all'ultimo minuto e ci ha dato consigli utili. Abbiamo prenotato una stanza standard sul sito del relais (conveniente rispetto ad altri siti), ma siamo poi stati collocati nella suite per un'altra prenotazione arrivata contemporaneamente. Non abbiamo usato sauna e idromassaggio, quindi non posso dire nulla al riguardo, ma la suite è proprio carina, spaziosa e con il letto rotondo. E' nella zona piscina, isolata dal resto della struttura, e gode di un portico privato con divanetto, protetto dal sole e separato dal giardino della piscina da un rampicante che rende questo spazio davvero rilassante e intimo. La piscina è ben tenuta e pulita, il giardino intorno molto spazioso, con gazebo e sdraio. La colazione è a buffet servita al tavolo sotto il porticato ricoperto dalla vite, tutto molto buono. All'interno della struttura c'è un ristorante fusion (gestione separata rispetto al relais) che non abbiamo provato, raggiungibile a piedi dall'albergo (circa 300 metri).c'è Da mi pa', dove si mangia veramente bene, cucina tipica Toscana. Noi siamo stati molto bene; sicuramente lo consigliamo e ci torneremo.

Das Zimmer war in Ordnung, die Toilette und das Badezimmer waren sehr klein. Was mich unglücklich machte, war, dass die Kellnerin an der Hotelrezeption uns diskriminierte, weil wir parken wollten. Sie sagte uns, dass es keinen Parkplatz gäbe und bat uns, ihn zu finden ein öffentlicher Parkplatz draußen. Mein Mann ist mitgefahren. Wir konnten im großen Kreis keinen Parkplatz finden. Später wechselten wir zu einem männlichen Kellner. Wir sagten ihm, dass wir keinen Parkplatz finden konnten. Können Sie das erkennen? Uns, wo gibt es Parkplätze? Er fragte uns, wann wir morgen abreisen würden und sagte dann, dass es auf ihrem Parkplatz Parkplätze gäbe. Es war großartig. Wir mussten nicht danach suchen. Der Parkplatz war unterirdisch und sehr klein. Als wir hinuntergingen , wir sahen, dass sich darunter noch mindestens 3 weitere Parkplätze befanden. Parkplätze. Die Kellnerin machte es uns also schwer!
