I found this property Ujo have good reviews on Trip.con and wanted to give it a try. I preferred apartment style stays cos the convenience of having a kitchen allows flexibility for diet-restricted people. The place looked modern and clean. Pretty spacious and functional. Has a balcony with a (not so grande, lol) view of the neighborhood. It was so hot outside even in November, like a sauna, so we didn’t spend anytime on the balcony and kept windows and doors shut to prevent heat and bugs. The AC and two ceiling fans in our room helped greatly for temperature control, making our stay comfortable. Note: the AC only works when you use the key card in the room — inserting it in the power slot and then AC can be turned on. Without a note about it, I thought the AC was not working. But glad the lady there helped to call and figure it out. Simple as that. The bathroom is interesting. It’s mostly good, got a ceiling shower and worked well. They provided organic wash, shampoo, and conditioner. The only part that didn’t make too much sense is the short half wall that is functioning as a divider between the shower part and the dry part of the bathroom. Water would easily splash out — it felt like it was designed for shorter users and didn’t account for a lot of tourists that are tall. Perhaps add a good old shower curtain? Mostly for the property’s own benefit of not getting the floor wet where it shouldn’t be. I sent a request when I booked the room for the hosts to spray bug sprays in the room prior to my arrival. They quickly acknowledged that after my booking and did that before I checked in. Much appreciation. When we checked out, we left our luggage to the host for a few hours. They are very helpful to put them away.  Also this place has bike rentals on site for a good price compared to what we saw outside of the property.  Finally, let’s talk about the overall area. We chose it also because it’s close location to ADO bus station as we came from Cancun via bus. We don’t have any interest in the crazy taxi prices and want to walk as much as we can. So this walkable property (less than 10minutes from Tulum ADO bus station) worked. I also chose it because it’s not on the Main Street where I looked at a lot of properties and found noise complaints. I cannot handle noise past 10pm. I need my rest. So overall, Ujo was quiet in itself, no really close-by clubs, no rooftop parties, and other visitors seemed respectful and not loud after 10pm. BUT, here is the reality, this is a town with many stray animals. And they sleep during the heated day time, and get active at night. So there were barking and meowing for sure that can pierce thru. As well as some traffic sound and remote club noises. Don’t expect 100% tranquility. I am fairly picky about noise but I would say given the town’s reality, this is a very decent spot. I was able to sleep thru the nights without much issue.  Overall the stay met the score it had on Trip.com (9.6/10) when I was booking. If I visit Tulum again, or if someone asked for a recommendation, I would stay/recommend this place.

Sehr guter Service, ausgezeichnetes Essen, reichhaltiges Frühstück à la carte, charmantes Personal. Exotische Lage unter Palmen direkt am Meer. Sehr angenehm.

Wir hatten ein sehr schönen Aufenthalt im Secrets Tulum Resort. Alle Mitarbeiter waren freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Das Zimmer hat uns auch sehr gut gefallen und das Essen in den verschiedenen Restaurants war sehr lecker und gut. Wir würden wieder kommen

Die Familie von vier (einschließlich 2 Teenager) blieb in Zimmer 3307 für eine Woche im Conrad. Wir hatten einen Meerblick, 2 Queen Zimmer und haben für den Ceiba Club gewählt. Das Zimmer war eines der besseren Größen und layout Zimmer, die wir auf dem Urlaub genossen haben. Die Einrichtungen waren fantastisch und wir genossen die Aktivitäten, die wir hier in unserer Zeit angeboten haben. Der Fitnessraum war nie beschäftigt und die täglichen Aktivitäten, die wir für zugänglich erachtet haben. Die Vorderseite bot sehr gute Schnorcheln mit mehreren großen Reifen, die viele Schulen von interessanten Fischen halten. Wir sahen auch dort Strahlen verschiedener Größen, die spannend war. Beachsitze waren immer verfügbar, was eine Überraschung war, da wir lesen, dass es problematisch sein könnte. Das Restaurant Ceiba hat sich in den ersten Tagen nicht betätigt, so dass Ceiba das Restaurant mit der La carte-Nahrung anbietet. Wir haben auch den Status von Hilton Gold genossen, so dass wir zwei unserer Familie durch das wunderbare Frühstücksbuffet in Arbolea wechseln konnten. Wir hatten Abendessen in Marakea (Mittelmeer) und Autor (Michelin Mexiko Restaurant). Beide waren gut, aber Autor stand aus. Würde sicher zurückkehren.

The hotel is beautiful and overall pleasant, but it left mixed impressions. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and given a tour of the property. However, we later discovered that the cenote was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel and it was under reconstruction, and this had not been communicated in advance. Construction started around 7:30 a.m. and continued throughout the day. The noise in the morning was not too disruptive, but during the day, when the main work was happening, it became quite loud and dusty around the pool area. Workers were constantly passing by, which significantly affected the overall atmosphere. Housekeeping was inconsistent. The floor in our room was sticky upon check-in, and on one of the days, the cleaner left dirty towels on the floor. The location is good if you are looking for a quiet and remote place. We woke up to the sounds of birds and saw lizards around the property, which was lovely. However, it also means that you need transportation to get anywhere, as there is little infrastructure nearby. For us, this was not an issue we actually enjoyed the seclusion. The hotel itself is beautifully designed in a boho style and looks stunning. Despite the drawbacks, I would still consider coming back one day.

Ein sehr nettes kleines Hotel am Anfang der Strandpromenade. Vom Zentrum aus erreicht man es bequem mit dem Taxi für ca. 300 MXN. Wer gerne läuft, kann die Strandpromenade von Tulum entlangspazieren und so bequem Restaurants und Strandclubs erreichen. Das Zimmer war sehr schön und verfügte über eine Außendusche und eine Badewanne. Allerdings war der Holzboden dort rostig und mit herausstehenden Nägeln versehen, was gefährlich war und unbedingt repariert werden sollte. Die Rezeption war sehr hilfsbereit und gab uns sogar Empfehlungen für Restaurants und Veranstaltungen am Abend. Das Hotel hat einen eigenen Strandzugang mit Liegen, was sehr praktisch ist, da es direkt am Strand liegt. Das Frühstück entsprach der Beschreibung und bestand aus leichtem Joghurt mit etwas Müsli und Früchten, Filterkaffee, Saft und zwei Scheiben Toast für zwei Personen. Meiner Meinung nach ist beim Frühstück noch Luft nach oben. Insgesamt war es für den Preis eine gute Erfahrung. Es gab keine Kaffeemaschine im Zimmer, obwohl sie auf den Bildern in der Anzeige abgebildet ist. Normalerweise ist das in Hotels kostenlos. Direkt neben dem Hotel wurde gezeltet, was etwas seltsam wirkte. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, was das sollte, da man von dort aus über eine Treppe, die mit dem Hotel verbunden ist, auch Zugang zum Hotel hatte.

Super Lage am Strand und grosser Bungalow, sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Team. Mehrere Restaurants oder Supermarkt in der Umgebung.

Mein Lieblingshotel! Ich habe hier auch meine Hochzeit gefeiert Das Hotel ist wunderschön und es gibt zwei Museen, die im gleichen Stil ebenfalls wunderschön sind. Wenn Ihnen auch die ursprüngliche Ökologie gefällt, zögern Sie nicht, direkt zu bestellen Die Landschaft ist unvergleichlich schön, wählen Sie unbedingt ein Zimmer mit Meerblick Dies ist ein Hotel, das Sie in Ihrem Leben besuchen müssen!

In meiner Jugend habe ich in 3-Sterne-Hotels übernachtet und mich mittlerweile bis zu 5-Sterne-Hotels hochgearbeitet. Bei meinem letzten Wochenendtrip habe ich nach Weihnachten etwas weniger ausgegeben und ein tolles Angebot bei Kore bekommen, also habe ich es trotz der vielen negativen Bewertungen gewagt. Ich finde die 1-von-5-Sterne-Bewertungen einfach ungerecht. Die Zimmer waren groß, sauber und bequem. Die Lage war in Ordnung und bot einen tollen Blick aufs Meer. Ich habe nur gefrühstückt, da ich gerne rausgehe und die Gegend erkunde, daher kann ich nicht viel über die Qualität des Essens sagen. Die Kellner waren gut, sobald ich mich hingesetzt hatte, wurde mir mein Kaffee eingeschenkt. Nachdem sie erkannt hatten, dass ich Trinkgeld gebe, musste ich nie anstehen, um meine Omeletts zu bekommen ... lol. Das Beste war der Service von Victor, dem Concierge an der Rezeption (dem Typ, der aussah wie aus einer mexikanischen Seifenoper). Der Typ war immer so nett und hilfsbereit. Beim Auschecken stellte er fest, dass ich einen späten Flug hatte. Er wusste, dass ich gerne Fahrrad fahre, also ließ er mich mein Armband behalten, damit ich bis zur Ankunft meines Shuttles Zugang hatte. Die meisten der in diesen Bewertungen beschriebenen Probleme habe ich nicht erlebt. Das englischsprachige Personal war eine Herausforderung, aber ich habe festgestellt, dass das überall in Tulum ein Problem war. Insgesamt würde dieses Hotel nach den strengen AAA-Richtlinien wahrscheinlich eine Bewertung von 3 bis 3,5 erhalten, auf den großzügigen Buchungsseiten eher eine 4. Es war zwar kein Hyatt, aber ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Lassen Sie sich von den 1-Sterne-Bewertungen nicht entmutigen. Meine Bewertung berücksichtigt nicht die Qualität des Essens …
