Sanpeiso was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. The ryokan beautifully preserves the atmosphere of traditional Japan while offering excellent comfort and hospitality. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome and took great care of every detail throughout our stay. The room was spacious, spotless, and overlooked a peaceful garden, creating a very relaxing atmosphere. The onsen was exceptional — the hot spring water felt wonderful after a day of sightseeing, and the entire bathing area was quiet and beautifully maintained. Both dinner and breakfast were served in traditional Japanese style and were outstanding. Every dish was carefully prepared, beautifully presented, and showcased seasonal ingredients. It felt like a true cultural experience rather than simply a meal. What impressed us most was the authentic character of the ryokan. Unlike many modernized properties, Sanpeiso retains the charm and elegance of a classic Japanese inn. The combination of attentive service, excellent cuisine, serene surroundings, and high-quality hot springs made our stay unforgettable. If you are looking for an authentic ryokan experience in Atami, I highly recommend Sanpeiso. We would gladly return on our next visit to Japan.

Daher unten eins unserer Lieblingshotels. Das Wort, das ich für dieses Hotel verwenden werde, ist “ großzügig” und warm. Das Hotel bezahlt für unser Ankunftstaxi. Dann haben sie sich um das Gepäck kümmert. Das Zimmer, das wir haben, war geräumig, mit erstaunlicher Aussicht auf den Strand, und mit einem Badezimmer, das stets mit warmem Bad gefüllt ist. Das Zimmer war so komfortabel. Da wir drei waren, haben sie für uns drei richtige Betten ohne zusätzliche Kosten (auch ohne zu bitten) eingerichtet. Alle Getränke in der Minibar waren kostenlos, einschließlich alkoholischer Getränke, und sie wurden jeden Tag wieder aufgefüllt. Der Eisbock wurde mit einem Roboter geliefert, der auch eine Spaßsache ist. Das Frühstücksbuffet war gut und alles schmeckt. Zur Pancakestation wurden mindestens 4 Arten von Honig geliefert. Mein Sohn genießt wirklich die orangefarbene Brüstestation. Die Aussicht vom Frühstücksrestaurant war auch schön. Parkplatz ist kostenfrei und einfach. Dieses Hotel macht uns das Gefühl, zu einem Haus zu kommen. Wir werden in Zukunft sicher zurückkehren. Empfehlenswert!

Ich checkte am Eröffnungstag des Hotels ein, daher wirkte es sehr neu. Im Onsen-Bereich gab es Ramen und Eis am Stiel, und in der Lounge wurden kostenlose Getränke angeboten. Schade war allerdings, dass keiner der Angestellten Englisch sprach, was zu Verständigungsschwierigkeiten führte. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und schmeckte köstlich.

Ich kann Ihnen die Übernachtung mit zwei Mahlzeiten in diesem japanischen Thermalbad während Ihres Atami-Besuchs wärmstens empfehlen. Das Hotelpersonal ist herzlich und freundlich und bietet einen aufmerksamen und zuvorkommenden Service. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und komplett ausgestattet. Abendessen und Frühstück werden mit viel Liebe zubereitet und sind köstlich. Das Stadtzentrum von Atami ist etwa 10 Autominuten entfernt, die Burg Atami erreichen Sie in nur 15 Minuten. Genießen Sie abends den Blick auf die Bucht oder besuchen Sie tagsüber die Burg Atami – ein unvergessliches Erlebnis. Eine absolut empfehlenswerte Unterkunft!

Wir waren mit 6 Personen dort. Es gibt eine kostenlose Getränkebar in der Lounge, ein großes öffentliches Bad und einen Münzwaschsalon, also war es sehr praktisch! Das Zimmer war sauber und ich konnte auf den Balkon gehen und den Meerblick genießen. Auch die Dachterrasse war schön.

Das Servicepersonal war höflich und hilfsbereit. Es stellte uns bereitwillig eine Thermoskanne zur Verfügung und war jeden Tag freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück war einfach, aber ausreichend. Die Lage war sehr praktisch. Restaurants waren gut erreichbar.

It was a quaint, cozy hotel situated close to JR Atami Station. The hotel has very good food for both dinner and breakfast! The staff are friendly and even though they can't speak good English, they tried their best to communicate to the best of their knowledge and I really appreciate it! I especially enjoyed my time at the onsen on the rooftop, it has good facilities. The only thing is the cleanliness of the room, since there is still water in the kettle from the previous guests, I didn't want to drink any water from the kettle because of it. They should replace it with a new kettle or clean it. Otherwise, the room is also very cozy, they give yukatas for guests to wear them around the hotel and they also offer free transport to JR Atami station. Otherwise, I would have struggled to get around since there is lack of public transportation at Atami! I still have a very good time and enjoyed my time because of the friendly staff at the hotel, they are very helpful! 10/10 will come back again with my friends or family in the future.

We stayed one night and really enjoyed the amenities, especially on a rainy day. The private onsen was wonderful, and the communal baths were fantastic. The breakfast and dinner options were excellent and well worth the money. Overall, the property offers a relaxing and comfortable experience. There is some room for improvement. The television only offered Japanese channels, so adding a smart TV with streaming options would be a nice upgrade for international guests. We were also disappointed by the policy not allowing guests with tattoos to use the communal pools, which may be limiting for some travelers. Overall, a very enjoyable stay with great amenities, food, and a memorable onsen experience.

Es ist sehr sauber und hat eine Badewanne. Die Lage ist ideal, da es in der Nähe des Bahnhofs liegt und von vielen tollen Restaurants umgeben ist. Sie können alle Restaurants mit langen Warteschlangen ausprobieren. Auch der Strand ist nicht weit entfernt.

The hotel is located right by the ocean so you can get a beautiful view first thing in the morning. The room is clean and spacious and has a balcony facing the ocean. Facilities might be a bit old but nonetheless gives you a vintage Japanese feel. The only thing to note is that it is a bit of a trek from the station especially if you arrive at night as it is quiet and a bit dark.
