I was so impressed by this hotel; I didn't know about it until I was looking for a place to stay in Santo Domingo and found this marvelous place. Alexandra, the beautiful girl from the front desk, is amazing—so nice, always smiling, and prompt to help with anything. All the people that work there are friendly and kind. The breakfast at Dos Cafés restaurant was amazing and delicious. Absolutely my favorite place to stay from now on.

Antique building, interior, breakfast, service and help from employees: all this made the staying very pleasant and comfortable. - the sink was leaking. The repairman came fast, however the problem appeared again after. Suggestion: make available hot water during the day for the guests without a need to ask for it on reception.

One of my favourite hotels in Santo Domingo. Perfect for location and if you don't want to spend 3 figures a night for a 5 star hotel. Renovated a few years ago, the rooms and decor are exceptional. The hallway can be noisy but that's due to the construction of the building as it does have some history. Breakfast is a combination of hot and cold and is served on the rooftop. Once again, staff are very helpful and attentive and I couldn't fault them for anything. Reception is always friendly and helpful. All rooms have a minibar and a safe but if the prices are a little steep then theres a National store in El Conde where you can buy all your needs at local prices. Your 5 minutes walk away from the centre of ”El Conde” or ”Zona Colonial” where there's quite a few US food chains such as Domino's and KFC as well as a lot of boutique shops where you can find something to your liking. Highly recommended 3/4* hotel with 5* service

Ich habe vor der Pandemie etwa dreimal hier übernachtet. Das Hotel ist sehr sauber und liegt im älteren, kolonialen Teil der Stadt. Der Verkehr in dieser Gegend ist aufgrund der engen Gassen ein Albtraum. SICHERES Viertel, überall Polizeipräsenz. POSITIV: Sauber, sicher, freundliches Personal, viele Restaurants in der Nähe. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und von guter Qualität. Das Mittag- oder Abendessen im Hotelrestaurant ist gut, wenn auch mit begrenzter Speisekarte. Die Sitzgelegenheiten im Restaurant sind sehr begrenzt, der Wasserdruck in der Dusche ist ausgezeichnet und der Zimmersafe ist groß. NACHTEIL: Das Zimmer ist klein wie in einem IBIS, das Badezimmer kleiner als in einem IBIS, die Klimaanlage in meinem Zimmer war bestenfalls mittelmäßig, was mir bei früheren Aufenthalten aufgefallen ist, der Aufzug sehr langsam. Das Schlimmste ist, dass dies kein Businesshotel ist. Obwohl das Internet in Ordnung ist, gibt es in den Zimmern überhaupt keinen Arbeitsplatz. Keine Steckdosen vorhanden, alle sind hinter Möbeln oder dem Bett versteckt und es gibt keinen Schreibtisch. Ich musste mein Handy an der Badezimmersteckdose aufladen und den Computer mit Akku betreiben. Außerdem gab es ein Problem mit dem Zimmertelefon und der Toilette, das ich zweimal gemeldet habe, ohne dass etwas unternommen wurde. Lassen Sie sich vom Hotel NICHT mit dem Hoteltaxi zum Flughafen fahren (50,00 $! Organisieren Sie es selbst oder nehmen Sie ein Uber. FAZIT: Für ein paar Tage Urlaub ist dies eine schöne Unterkunft, um die kolonialen Sehenswürdigkeiten zu besichtigen und die Atmosphäre zu genießen. Für Geschäftsreisen ist dies jedoch nicht die richtige Unterkunft. Ich werde Ende Januar oder Anfang Februar für einen längeren Aufenthalt geschäftlich zurückkehren und muss dann leider woanders übernachten.

Pro: -safe area even at night, because just beside the militery area of the presidential palace, even at 10pm there is still a grocery open. - Breakfast is simple but good enough: toast with cheese and ham, coffee and a boiled egg. -Spacious and clean room, friendly staff, can refill drinking water. -500m walking to the gate of the colonial area. - Taxi stand is at the same street - Nice, spacious outdoor, sitting area - A personal fridge in the room Cons: -A bit noisy from the road/a bar until around midnight. - Shower is not really hot (only slightly warm).
