GGastnutzerMy first review on Trip and I don't usually bother to write reviews - shows you how much the hotel impressed me. We stayed for 1 night in Capella Sydney as a family of 3.
The hotel facilities were absolutely amazing, decor was gorgeous and food options at Aperture and Brasserie were awesome. However, I won't dwell on these too much as I'm sure when you booked into a Capella brand hotel, you will already assume this as a given right? One highlight in terms of facilities though, was The Living Room, which is assessible to all guests staying in the hotel. It had beverages, snacks, comfy sofas and 6 star service. We spent so much time there chilling with our son and in the end it really became ”our living room”.
Enough of that, let me move on to the service which blew our minds. I'll give you a few examples and hopefully you can see why I feel it would be criminal for me not to write a review.
1. On arrival when we got out of our car and the porters were helping us with our luggage, somehow they addressed me by name. Maybe it's because they saw I had a 2 year old and I was the only guest checking in that day with a small child. Still, I was super impressed. I've only experienced this previously at Aman hotels.
2. Upon checking in, Sophie (I hope I got your name right!) was super helpful and cheerful. When she saw my young son, she also proactively asked if we needed a later check out and if our son needed to nap. She immediately offered to give us 2pm late check out. However, having told her our son actually takes his nap at 2pm, she told us to come back and check with the front desk the next day and they can extend it till 4pm. Remember, I didn't request this, she did this completely out of her own initiative.
3. We didn't book dinner and Sophie referred us to Madiha of the Cultural team. Madiha took note of all our requirements, including the need for the restaurant to be 2 year old friendly, and within 15 mins emailed me a full list of restaurants and their menus for me to choose from while she also served us drinks and snacks at the living room. We eventually picked an Italian restaurant and she made the reservation for us. Fyi, it was scrumptious.
4. After breakfast, we were walking around the lobby and my son walked past the cakeshop and saw a raspberry tart. He really wanted it but I told him we just had breakfast. Ton (?)(I hope I got your name right, the Thai gentleman with a love for cars), the manager came up and said ”you can have the tart for free! It's on the house!”. I was stunned. He also spent so much time talking to my son and showing him pictures of cars, unbelievable.
Shout out also to Matthew (uncle Hao Jun) for being so warm and hospitable to us. Honestly we were feeling so sad leaving the hotel as everyone felt like friends and family to us. One thing is for sure though, we will be back. Absolutely flawless service, kudos to the Capella Sydney team!

GGastnutzerGrandiose Lage direkt am Hauptbahnhof. Die Ausstattung ließ leider zu wünschen übrig: Es gibt keine Aufenthaltsräume außer der Küche (schließt um 22 Uhr) und der Reception, die nicht besonders groß und dazu sehr laut war. Das Bad im 6. Stock war immer dreckig, zahlreiche Fliesen und Armaturen kaputt, an der Decke und in den Fugen überall Schimmel. Das Zimmer war klein, aber in Ordnung. Das Hostel wirkt wie ein Partyhostel für sehr junge Reisende (insbesondere Gruppen!), als Alleinreisende hab ich mich hier eher unwohl gefühlt.

GGastnutzerEs kann mit 420 Bussen vom Flughafen (Hotel ist um die Ecke), viel günstiger dann mit dem Zug. 2 Bahnhöfe nach Central.
Voll ausgestattete Küche, die uns erlaubt, Gemüse von nahe gelegenen Supermärkten zu kaufen, um Aussie-Nahrung zu schmecken.
Die Tagesrate ist weit unterhalb der CBD-Hotels, aber die Lage ist sehr bequem.

AAnonymer BenutzerInsgesamt war mein Aufenthalt gut, aber die Führung war sehr enttäuschend.
Meine Abreisezeit sollte um 11 Uhr sein, aber der Haushalter begann um 8 Uhr auf meine Tür zu klopfen und fragte mich sogar, wann ich abreise sollte das Personal nicht schon wissen?
Ich habe mich später um 9 Uhr in meinem Zimmer verlassen, um im Hotel Frühstück zu haben. Als ich um 10 Uhr zurückkam, war meine Zimmerkarte nicht mehr funktioniert. Das Front Desk-Personal sagte mir, dass meine Karte in den Check-out-Box gefallen war, was verwirrend war, da ich allein reiste Wer hat das getan?
Um die Dinge noch schlimmer zu machen, als ich endlich wieder in mein Zimmer kam, war mein Gepäck weg. Der Hausmeister sagte, es sei ohne meine Zustimmung an das Frontdesk gesendet worden.
Dies war extrem ungünstig und unprofessionell, und ich hoffe, das Management trifft Schritte, um die Kommunikation zu verbessern und die Gäste’ Check-out Zeiten zu respektieren

AAnonymer BenutzerDie perfekte Wahl für einen Familienausflug. Das Zimmer war großartig, mit 2 Schlafzimmern und 2 Bädern, sehr praktisch für eine vierköpfige Familie. Die Ausstattung des Zimmers war perfekt: eine Waschmaschine mit Trocknerfunktion, viele Kleiderbügel, Backofen, Mikrowelle, gut ausgestattete Töpfe, Pfannen, Geschirr, Spülmaschine und sogar Vitamin C. In der Hotellobby gibt es viele Brettspiele, eine Kaffeemaschine und Tee, ideal für Kinder, um sich in der Lobby zu entspannen und zu unterhalten.
Die Lage ist auch passend, etwa 800m von einem großen Supermarkt entfernt, wo man Obst usw. kaufen kann. Der Weg zur Kathedrale, zum Hyde Park, zum Australian Museum usw. beträgt etwa 1,1km zu Fuß, was noch akzeptabel ist.
Da es Weihnachten war, hat das Hotel sogar Süßigkeiten und Socken verschenkt, sehr nett.
Sollten wir wieder nach Sydney kommen, werden wir definitiv wieder hier übernachten.

AAlly 94Die Holzvertäfelung des Hotels wirkt etwas altmodisch. Die Zimmertüren lassen sich nur mit viel Kraft schließen! Es gibt keinen Soft-Close-Mechanismus! Lässt man sie ganz los, knallt es laut. Freitag- und Samstagabends ist Musik von draußen zu hören. Die Lage ist top; es liegt direkt neben dem QVB (Quick Broadcast Terminal). Der Flur ist nachts nur schwach beleuchtet.

GGastnutzerBreakfast was excellent but the room we had on level one was not good. It had steps going down to the bed. As you went into the room the bathroom was on the left tea making on the right then steps down to bed area with TV and lounge to sit on. Not good for us with mobility issue in our late seventies . Had to go up the steps to make tea or use the bathroom. Management explained the room was recently renovated and yes we could tell that but didn’t even have a window to look out. It was so high up in the wall. He said that was the only room available for what I had booked. I have stayed there before and had a lovely room so very disappointed this time.

GGastnutzerNach drei aufeinanderfolgenden Tagen Aufenthalt teilte das Hotel beim Einchecken mit, dass es den Kundenwunsch (Bedarf eines Doppelbetts) vom Agenten nicht erhalten habe. Der Luftauslass in Ihrem Wohnraum ist sehr laut, daher sollten geräuschempfindliche Personen bei der Auswahl vorsichtig sein. Die große, laute Sorte. Das Bett ist sehr klein, in der Nähe des U-Bahn-Eingangs und der Preis ist nicht erschwinglich. Man kann es mit anderen Hotels vergleichen.

PpornphunWe had a brilliant experience at the Langham for our wedding anniversary! I forgot how much I like the Langham brand. From the pink ribbon around the toilet paper to the sleep ammenities (we asked for the sleep pillow mist and the room diffuser) to the suggested third eye massage technique and the chamomile tea before bedtime, we felt totally pampered and taken care of. Reservation was made for our celebratory dinner with fine steak dinner over the fantastic view of the Opera House. In room breakfast was delivered on time and the quantity copious. The Spanish bell boy was helpful and friendly. We were also upgraded to a harbour view room to our delight. Location was convenient to walk either to Barangaroo or the Rocks, for ferry ride or metro. Very pleased to have chosen The Langham, it was absolutely the right decision for us!

Das Hotel befindet sich über dem Pub, der auch ab nachmittags sehr gut besucht ist.
Es gibt dort sonntags auch Livemusik bis ca 21 Uhr abends.
Alles vollkommen in Ordnung, wenn man nicht gerade Zimmer 10 neben der Waschmaschine/Trockner hat und neben der Lüftung schläft. Auch wenn ab 21 Uhr trocknen und waschen nicht erlaubt ist,störte es sehr.
Die Hotelzimmer gehen nach hinten raus,so hat man morgens leider ebenso den Lärm der Ladezone vom Supermarkt.
Positiv war,dass das Zimmer in einem modernen Zustand war und die Mitarbeiter alle sehr nett waren.
Der Strand ist fußläufig zehn Minuten entfernt.
