Just stayed 2 nights in a club twin and a club king room. First the positives - 1. The rooms - for a oldish hotel and a round one at that, the room was outstanding - it was spacious and i don't mean spacious by Japanese standards but really by any international one. The rooms looked pristine - i don't know if they did some renovations during covid but it did not look in the least worn. The bathtub was great and the room looked out to some nice greenery and trees. The sheets was really nicely made - taut and smooth just as it should be and the bed comfy. Adequate outlets. 2. The lounge is a nice respite with it's nice vantage looking out to a nice pond and garden. The staff were very friendly and explained about the macha tea. Dinner choice was reasonable with about 5 choices of food and plenty on alcohol to choose from. 3. Just opposite hotel is the conference centre (which is why i stayed at Prince) and the subway. 4. The area surrounding is green and peaceful and lush. One of my colleagues even saw a deer at night near the hotel. Now the not so good. 1. It's not near any shopping or restaurants (unless you count the cafe in the conference centre). There is a McDonalds about 8 minutes walk away (if you walk a bit briskly) and a Daiso about 15-20 minutes walk. Some other small restaurants within 10 minutes walk. 2. The hotel restaurants - they are not exactly family friendly in their fare. Set meals more for formal dining. Given the paucity of very nearby restaurants, the hotel could consider increasing the repertoire of simple kid friendly food. Strange how none of the restaurants offer this but some choices available from room service i.e. spaghetti. My daughter ended up with room service and me trekking to Mcdonalds to supplement her meal choice. I had trouble with Uber Eats or that's an option too. 2. Breakfast is a bit forgettable - i had the buffet one day - not quite befitting a Marriott Autograph hotel standard. I tried the western set another day - it was really quite nice but staff a bit inflexible. My daughter liked the bread so i asked for more only for the ultraman no sign to be invoked and the reply that they were out of stock (i guess that's their diplomatic way of saying you only get your one basket of bread and that's it. So I'm giving the hotel a 4/5. Nonetheless, there are enough positives to make me want to come back in future

Das Hotel mit der bisher besten Lage. Liegt zwischen zwei U-Bahnstationen. Zentrum der Einkaufsstraße von Kyoto. Schöne und saubere Einrichtungen. Mir gefällt die Aussicht von unserem Zimmer aus, das war ein Pluspunkt. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen, um wieder hier zu übernachten.

Wir sind sehr zufrieden mit Kundenservice, öffentlichem Bad und Frühstück. Es gibt jedoch nur sehr wenige Handtücher in der Anlage. Es gibt nur ein Badetuch, ein Handtuch und ein Handtuch. Wenn Sie das Badetuch und das Handtuch in die öffentliche Toilette mitbringen, bleibt nur ein Handtuch übrig. Sie müssen einen verwenden, um die Dusche, die Toilette und das Waschbecken abzudecken. Das Zimmer ist komplett, die Rezeption Personalservice ist wirklich sehr gut!

Der Preis ist günstig und die Ausstattung des Zimmers unterscheidet sich von den vorherigen. Es gibt unabhängige Waschmaschinen und Mikrowellen, alles kostenlos. Im Erdgeschoss befindet sich eine Kaffeemaschine. Es ist wirklich toll, morgens eine Tasse Kaffee zu trinken. Der kleine Bruder an der Rezeption ist sehr nett. Ich habe viel Gepäck und er half, das Gepäck aufs Zimmer zu bringen. Ich habe nur vergessen, das Zimmer zu fotografieren. es ist eigentlich sehr gut

We were a group of 6 people staying at the Hotel Mitsui on a trek through Japan. Suffice it to say, that the group was all pleased that we stayed here. Our initial check in process was a bit bumpy (no tea service) as it was clear everyone was checking into the hotel for a holiday weekend. However, within 30 minutes, we were all on our way to our rooms. Overall, the hotel and the rooms are designed in muted tones and a modern zen vibe. Where other hotels would simply have drywall covered with pictures, the Mitsui has clearly thought about every surface. We were in a room that looked out to the central garden, which is beautiful. The room had a nice long marble bench at the entrance which was nice for putting shoes on or setting things down to pack / unpack. Further in the room, there is a bar area, desk area and a nice long padded bench by the window. Controls for the room are near the bed and you can dim lights or raise and lower blinds with ease. The bathroom is a very clever design with two pocket door entrances, offering a closet area, double sink, a wet room with tub and shower and rom for the toilet. The room for the toilet is wide and very peaceful. Of course, it comes with the fancy Toto Neorest toilet that raises and lowers the seat automatically, has a heated seat, has a bidet feature and more. The shower offers both a hand held and a rain head that with a fine spray. Bathroom toiletries are crafted for the Hotel Mitsui. Of course, robes were available (just ask if you need a different size). Let’s talk about sleeping…. The bed was among the most comfortable that I have ever tried (firm, with just the right amount of softness). Down pillows and a duvet complete the scene. And course, should you not like your pillow, there is a pillow menu. The rooms at the Mitsui are quiet with blackout shades. At night, gentle nightlights illuminate the path to the bathroom. In all, the sleep experience is well thought out and devine. One of the stand out features of the hotel would be the Thermal Springs in the basement. The Thermal Springs are a modern version of a traditional Japanese onsen. Access is open to everyone in the hotel, but the number of people permitted in is managed to in more than 14 people at a time. You have to call ahead to make sure there is space, but in our case, we were always able to get in. Anyone who out touring in Kyoto, should make time in their busy schedule to visit the Thermal Springs between their tours and dinner - it is a great way to wash off the city and relax before dinner - very civilized. This review is particularly fun for me as our stay at the Mitsui ultimately caused us to break up with our travel agent. He was SO insistent that we stay at the Ritz , he could not imagine trying something new like the Mitsui (nor was he willing o have his team check it out). In the end, I feel vindicated, we loved our stay at the Mitsui and would happily return

Badezimmer klein, aber funktional, alle Toiletten, einschließlich Razor, Haarschneide Zahnschneide. Zimmer täglich serviert, die Möglichkeit, Betten ändern oder nicht täglich. Wenn Sie ausgehen, biegen Sie rechts zur Einkaufsstraße und zum Nishiki-Markt ab und dann links zur Kawaramachi, die beide zu Fuß erreichbar sind. Die Größe des Zimmers entspricht japanischen Hotelstandards. Das Kingsize-Bett ist wirklich groß, aber es ist etwas unbequem, nur ein Kissen pro Person zu haben. Toilettenartikel stehen im ersten Stock zur Selbstbedienung bereit. Viele Steckdosen, was schön ist. Wenn Sie das Hotel verlassen, biegen Sie links auf die Hauptstraße und dann rechts ab. Zehn Meter entfernt befindet sich ein Taxistand.

Hotel in an excellent location to the main train station. Our room was good size and clean. I would have given it a 4.5 instead for service. I didn’t use the cleaning room service because it was not necessary for 2 nights but getting the extra day amenities was slightly challenging at the Front Desk. Eventually it was provided (after1/2hr) but not as smoothly as the Hotel Metropolitan in Tokyo Ikebukuro.

Hatte einen tollen Aufenthalt im Ala Kyoto Hotel! Zimmer war geräumig und sauber, Frühstück war lecker, Mitarbeiterfreundlich und Lage bequem. Leider konnten Sie nicht das Spa wegen eines engen Zeitplans genießen, aber wird sicher zurück kommen!
