Stayed at Kokol Haven Resort and truly enjoyed the breathtaking panoramic views overlooking Kota Kinabalu, especially the beautiful sunset moments that created unforgettable scenery alongside the natural mountain landscape and peaceful surroundings with cute, quiet cats. The hotel service was generally pleasant, and the dining environment was comfortable and relaxing, making it a great place to unwind while enjoying the stunning views. However, improvements are needed for the unstable electricity supply in the room, and it would be helpful to have better late-night counter service to respond promptly to customer phone calls.

Fantastic sunrise & sunset views BUT rooms not as clean as would have preferred. Bathing toiletries not labeled. Not sure which is Shampoo vs Body Wash. No conditioner was provided. One of the bottle of toiletries the pump was spoiled. Nothing comes out when depressed. Breakfast vary basic. Spread not good.Road conditions were bad. Some of the road slopes should be paved with tarmac.

Staycation at Kokol Haven Resort was truly a wonderful moment. Amazing sunset view right in front of the main hotel, and a beautiful sunrise at the Herbs Garden, Rose Villa. A short getaway from Kota Kinabalu to escape the hectic moments.

The hotel has nice city views and an amazing sunset view, worth it to stay a night and in the morning, you can have a beautiful sunrise view too.

Beautiful place with nice breeze. Love the surroundings and absolutely 💯 no doubt worth every money for the room & breakfast. [Seperated things] Since it is New Year, they have countdown event. Great event minus the food. The food.. OMG. Please improve the cuisine.

The bedsheet was dirty when we arrived in the evening, and I had to request a replacement. The location is very far, though the view of the mountains and city is nice. Breakfast was okay but limited. The family room was quite pricey for the experience. I wouldn’t recommend staying overnight—if you want to see the sunrise or sunset, a day trip is sufficient since there’s not much else to do.

It’s a wonderful place where you can see Kota Kinabalu city and enjoy the majestic view of Mount Kinabalu.

Failed to enjoy a quiet and calm early morning breakfast or even afternoon tea due to the unnecessarily loud and unsuitable music selection (as if by default) compared to the soft, cafe friendly background music offered by Hillside Kokol.

Will recommend this place to my friend.
