Nautilus Right on The Beach

Excellent service and place. The best place if you want to have time for yourself and peace. At the end of the long beach, before only rocks , here’s the best place to be. You will need to walk only 100 meters if you want more people and more sandy beach. Chaya’s team is fantastic. Professional, king, helpful, they will do everything to make your stay even better. Thanks to Kim’s team at the bar, Maprang “James bond” who is there all the time. I strongly recommend it.

From the minute you step into the property you experience hospitality above & beyond by ALL staff. The beautiful ladies at the front Chaya (owner) & always present & helpful Maprang to the ladies behind the bar Kim & Nathia you cannot ask for a friendlier group. But that’s not it, the grounds crew are to kind and helpful as are the kitchen staff and the lovely ladies cleaning our room. Day one to day 21 was amazing, thank you all for being you and making our experience so special! 🫶🏽

What’s not to like about this quiet, quaint, and adorable little resort. First off, the staff. From the owner down to the maintenance staff, just an amazing group of people. We dealt with Ma Prong the most. She is the manager of the resort. Top notch, listens and follows thru with any and all request. From a ride to the airport, a cruise around the island, or taking care of any issues in the cabins, she gets it done. The bar/restaurant staff are so kind, friendly, and refreshing. Kim and Natalia were always smiling, so pleasant, and entertaining. The food was delicious, and never a disappointment. We stayed here 3 weeks. This was our 2nd trip to the Koh Lanta area in the last 2 years. We decided on Nautilus because of the “Adult Only”. It was a pleasure not to wake up to screaming or unruly kids. Everyone treated each other so well. It was such a relaxed and enjoyable trip. The price, location, and experience are worth every penny you spend here. If something isn’t right or needed, just ask, they will take care of you. Treat yourself to a real vacation. Stay at Nautilus on the Beach.

Staff so lovley. Setting so quiet yet with many easily accessible places easy to find. When you walk around the area it is safe and the people are lovely. Need I say anything else about Thai food? If you don’t like it YOU must be odd. Nature in abundance too. It is quiet though here so be prepared to relax. Thanks to all of the wonderful staff. Right on the Beach, isn' t what it promises. There is no beach in front of the resort, only rocks. You have to walk a bit aside to find the beach. Anyway. I am shocked about what has happend to us last week. Now I am safely back in the Netherlands I am writing this review. When I told the owner I will write a review about her resort, and the way she misleid us, and over charged us, for the worst room on our entirely holiday, she threatened us with the Police. After Googling around we did find a case, where an American was taken by the Police after writing a bed review for a hotel, and he had to pay 5000 dollar to get out....Tripadvisor wrote about it; have a look! So, take this in mind when you prepare a bad review in Thailand. Back to the small house; it was the most expensive one on the resort. Sea view? Nope...I am a bit to tall and only see the roof in front of my nose. The house is farest away from the beach of all other ones. The airco unit 1 mtr above your head if you are sleeping; useless... All house 110 euro a night, this one 180 euro per night. Heavenly over charged, I booked 3 nights, and after our cancellation she rented out two nights to other (unlucky) guests, so I offered to pay the first night, and left. She charged me 340 euro for that night.... I would say; stay away from this lady.... Her high score on Google can' t be honest. It is overall a old dump

We enjoyed a few nights stay here. Were surprised at so many rave reviews though as we found it to be just ok. Food was ok but not really to our taste (looked good but lacked much flavour). Not much nice in the very nearby locality compared to other parts of the island. Beach mainly rocky and stoney with limited sand. It isn’t really on long beach as it is cut off by rocks. Even at low tide you have to clamber over rocks to get to the nearby long beach. We booked excursions ourselves which did pick up from the hotel which was good. The main road near by has a small number of nice enough places to eat in within a 15 minuet walk but you have to go down a dusty uneven road to get there )this is quite typical for the area close to long beach though). Along the beach there is a nice place for breakfast which is pricey though (the turtle). The bungalow was lovely and we liked the outdoor bathroom but we did end up with two giant beetles in there one morning - making g it difficult to shower. Had a nice massage but not as good as other places. Overall we felt there were better places to stay at half the price and struggled to understand the rave reviews. There are nicer beaches to stay at on the island too.

Very comfortable resort with friendly staff and a great location. Kim who runs the bar and cafe does a great job making guests feel welcome. Great place to relax by the beach and the sunset cocktail list is awesome. Reception helped us line up a driver as we wanted to see the island but didn’t want to risk a moped

We stayed for 5 glorious nights at this lovely little resort and absolutely loved it!! Don't be put off by the rocks on the beach, they add to the view. When the tide comes in you can swim just to the right of them anyway. You're right at the end of the 5km long, long beach so it's pretty much cut away from the rest of the world. Even going elsewhere on this sedate island seemed busy compared to the tranquility of the resort. The thing we really loved though was the family feel to the whole place. Within a day or so of our stay the girls treated us like brother and sisters and were just brilliant. The rooms were great with mossie net and extremely comfortable bed. The outside bathroom was fun and came with its own gecko which warded off evil mosquitos. After our stay we moved on to the twin lotus and whilst it was very nice, you could've been in any nice hotel anywhere in the world whereas Nautilus had that unique loveliness of a small resort in a Thai paradise. We'll be back for definite and already looking forward to it. Kim, Nadia and the girls whose names we didn't catch. Thank you!!!

I have traveled extensively throughout SE Asia, in particular Thailand. But I have literally never had as pleasant an experience as I had staying at the Nautilus. It is located directly on the beach. The bungalows are tastefully decorated, clean, and well stocked (the toiletries in particular are delightful, especially the coconut scented lotions and soaps). The staff are another highlight; they are attentive and very friendly. There are several hotels with bars along the beach but the staff at Nautilus make it a cut above the rest. If you’re going to Koh Lanta, It’s your best value and best bet and the adults only setting is the icing in the cake. I look forward to returning and staying in the future.
