The Good Stunning rooftop location, jaw-droppingly beautiful 360 views of fabulous Corfu Town. The Bad Slow, slow service, it wasn’t busy, but to give you an idea we arrived around 8.45 and received our main courses after 11pm, despite ordering soon after arriving. Drinks took so long to arrive that our starter was with us before the bottle of wine we ordered. The Ugly We ordered five starters and five main courses. Only four starters arrived, the missing dish took a further 25 minutes to arrive, by which time the other four guests had finished theirs. Of the main courses, one was described as tuna kebab, but was completely unidentifiable as tuna and tasted of reconstituted lamb with herbs in a sausage format. Another was a moussaka, again completely unrecognisable as the chef had clearly been experimenting with some fashionable idea of reconstructing this simple dish resulting in a gloopy, salty mess of meat in gravy topped with some weird shredded crispy stuff. The response to our polite complaint of disappointment was to send in the manager, he was unapologetic, rude and surly. Offered to take us to the kitchen to prove the tuna was tuna, then simply walked off. For the sake of fairness, the burgers and steak were apparently good. The eye wateringly high bill arrived fast and with precision, all totalled on a smart phone ready for payment, the only bit of the entire process that the staff seem to have mastered with any degree of service and accuracy. In conclusion, Corfu Town is stuffed with lovely family-owned tavernas, bars and restaurants, where you will find a warm welcome, delicious food, good service and a fair price. Go find these places on your stay. We live here, but were treated with contempt as I can only assume they thought we were tourists they were never likely to see again.
