Dieses Hotel ist prototypisch Ibis. Nichts erstaunliches, durchschnittlich 3 Sterne, aber weil sie ein festes Frühstücksbuffet enthalten, müssen Sie es 4 Sterne geben. Was ich nicht verstehe, ist, warum der einzige Telefonladen im Zimmer ist 10 Fuß vom Bett entfernt. Das ist frustrierend und sehr schlechtes Design. Der Thermostat war schwer zu verstehen und hat nicht kühl Luft ausgesetzt. Das Hotel ist direkt an der Busterminal angrenzen. Die Bahnhof ist eine sehr einfache 8-minütige Spaziergang. Sie gehen die Haupttüren der Station und nehmen die Straße direkt vor Ihnen. Die Ibis ist 500 Meter rechts, direkt über die Straße vom Magnus. Unmittelbar neben dem Hotel ist ein kleines Einkaufszentrum, das einen ausgezeichneten Supermarkt namens Rimi hat. Es gibt auch eine Apotheke in diesem Einkaufszentrum. So nichts außergewöhnliches, sondern ein anständiges Hotel.

First, the good things about this hotel: one- a fantastic location, very close to the Old Town and within walking distance from the modern part of the city, parks, river, and most of the tourist attractions. Two: you can rent, free of charge, an electric scooter and have a ride on many cycling lanes and visit Kaunas that way. The restaurant had good ambiance, nice staff and served a decent dinner. Unfortunately, there is more bad things about the hotel. There is no human staff presence. There is no reception, everything is done by phone, you get a code, which opens the doors and for anything else, you have to ring a number. This might have worked but the phone in our room was broken, and we ended up having to ring from the UK mobile at international call rate. We were offered a different room, but we weren’t happy about its comfort. When you eventually manage to get through to someone, they will be helpful and react quite quickly, but it is an extra hassle. The cleaning is ordered by pressing a button on a device on the wall, otherwise no one will come to do it. You also check out by pressing a button on the same device. All this is not very clear, the device is behind the door. It would be better if there was a kind of an information pack in the room to explain this. The room itself was on the fourth floor with no lift. Fine for fit people, especially if you have to carry your suitcase upstairs, but not so much if you have a mobility problem. As the room was in the attic, it had a sloping ceiling so if you are a tall person, you might have a problem moving about. Curtains were a shambles, impossible to draw across the whole (arched) window. Wardrobe tiny, not to hold clothes for two people, even for a short stay. Television did not work properly. No city map which normally would be offered by the reception. No hooks or shelves in the bathroom so nowhere to put your things. For a water bottle, which normally is complimentary in 4* hotels, you will be charged 4 EUR. Breakfast was quite varied and good for continental guests. If you are used to having your cereal, you might have to ask the staff to especially give it to you. Whatever is lacking, the restaurant staff will do their best to provide it for you. However, this is not a standard you expect from a four-star hotel. So, all told, it was not a bad stay but lacked 4-star class.

Schönstes Zimmer auf der ganzen Ostseetour. Sehr klassisch 30/40’s Design. Wir hatten ein schönes großes Zimmer mit 2 sehr komfortablen Stühlen und einem Tisch. Es gab ein Schreibtisch. Das Zimmer hatte ein separates Badezimmer und Toilette. Es gab ein Bad. Es gab ein TV, gutes kostenloses WLAN, Tee und Kaffee, Kühlschrank(aber keine Inhalte) und seltsam keine Safe. Guter Lagerplatz. Wir waren in Zimmer 207 und die Elektriker waren etwas seltsam, da kein Licht funktionierte, es sei denn, das zentrale Licht war an. Das Hotel war ziemlich zentraler, etwa 10 Minuten von der alten Stadt entfernt. Das Frühstück war gut mit mehreren Wahlen für warme oder kalte Lebensmittel. Obst Auswahl war die einzige Schwäche. Das Daugirdas Hotel befindet sich in der Nähe des Flusses in der alten Stadt Kaunas. Es besteht aus zwei zusammengebauten Gebäuden, einem alten und einem neueren Anhang. Unser Zimmer war auf der 3. Etage des alten Teils des Gebäudes und ein bisschen datiert. Es war ziemlich groß mit einem Doppelbett, Sofa und Desk, alles klar ziemlich ein paar Jahre alt, aber sauber und gut gepflegt. Unser Badezimmer war auch groß und hatte einen kleinen Balkon vor der Straße. Schampo und Dusche gel wurden geliefert, wenn es um Toiletten geht. Ein Bar-Restaurant bietet Getränke und Abendessen - normalerweise scheint das Restaurant im 1. Stock zu sein, aber als wir im Juni verblieben, wurde Abendessen nur auf der Außenterrasse im 4. Stock serviert. Leider schien der Service sehr unterdrückt (wahrscheinlich waren sie unterbesetzt angesichts der Anzahl der Tische und Gäste), die in eine scharfe, unfreundliche Haltung gegenüber uns als Gäste übersetzt. Das Essen war ok - der Starter, Thun tataki, war wirklich schön, aber beide Haupt (ein Salat und ein Burger) waren nichts besonderes und ziemlich uninspiriert. Frühstück wird im gegossenen Keller serviert, buffet-Stil, und ziemlich einfach. Im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels waren die Vielfalt und die Qualität der Lebensmittel relativ niedriger. Das Zimmer mit seiner gefüllten Decke war beeindruckend, die flip Seite des Zimmers Layout und einfache Möbel war, dass es sehr laut war nur von Menschen mit normalen “Frühstücksgesprächen”. Insgesamt nicht schlecht, aber wahrscheinlich nicht ein Hotel zu erinnern und zurück zu gehen.

The hotel is very nice. It's nothing special, but it's a very good place to stay. The bed is very comfortable, the staff are very friendly and more than happy to help with special requests. One the best things about it is its location: just outside of the old town on Laisves, a pedestrian street. There are plenty of restaurants around, coffee houses, and even a small grocery store. So if you want to stay in Kaunas, this is the place I can recommend highly. I have only one small complaint: the breakfast isn't all that good. There's plenty to eat, so that is not the problem. But what there was just didn't seem to be particularly good quality. I have stayed in three other hotels while I've been in Lithuania, plus one in Latvia. The breakfast in each place was fantastic. I can't say that about this one, but that's no reason not to stay here. As I said, you will have enough to eat and you'll probably be satisfied. So stay here. It's well worth it .

Ich habe hier mit unseren Kollegen aus den Niederlanden verblieben. Was für eine schöne Zeit hatten wir: so neu, sauber und brillant, mit Komfort und Schönheit im Kopf gestaltet. Es ist direkt am Rande der Altstadt und des historischen Stadtzentrums, Ladung von Speisen, Attraktionen und alle Spazierweiterung. Ich und Partner sind auch sehr dankbar für die Beratung von der Mitarbeiter.

So glücklich, dieses Hotel für einen Versuch zu wählen! Kühlliche Atmosphäre mit Bordspielen und Cocktailbar, wo wir bis 2 Uhr geblieben, schönes Frühstück, komfortable Betten, perfekte Lage. So gute Vibrationen während der ganzen Zeit, so jetzt weiß ich, wenn ich nach Kaunas komme, werde ich bei Moxy bleiben, ohne weitere Optionen zu suchen. Danke!

Just a one-night stay on my 2nd visit to Kaunas. A very friendly welcome at the reception. Our rooms were ready early! A traditional and quite large hotel. A good-sized room with a comfortable bed. The hotel is in a great location. Very central. Close to the sights, the restaurants and the bars. The old town is quite a walk, but less than £3 in UK money for a taxi there. The hotel is very reasonably priced and I would be happy to stay there again.

Super Lage, direkt zentral in der Fußgängerzone. Dennoch verfügt das Hotel über einen kostenlosen Parkplatz im Innenhof (jedoch seeehr eng und voll, SUV besser Zuhause lassen). Das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich, das beim Frühstück leider etwas überfordert. Die Zimmer sind ungewöhnlich groß und toll renoviert. Leider gibt es keinen Wasserkocher auf dem Zimmer. Das Frühstück war ausreichend, nichts besonderes, eher typisches Hotel-Frühstück mit Kaffee aus dem Automaten. Schade, dass der Frühstücksraum im Keller ist und noch nicht renoviert wurde. Würde dennoch immer wieder hier buchen! Klare Empfehlung!
