All good just that suite room is kinda small in size, but the living room is very spacious and toilet bowl has no leg space because the glass door for shower room is exactly next to the toilet bowl. maybe can make room bigger and reduce the size of living room and definitely leg space at toilet bowl area needs to be enlarged or replanned. The buffet spread was super delicious and variety of spread. Each n every one of the staff at different department was absolutely friendly, helpful and well mannered! Thumbs up to all and the excellent service provided.

I’m surprised to find Fives Hotel is beyond my expectations. First time staying at Fives hotel and it has so much more to praise. Firstly, location is good as it is located opposite of Komtar shopping centre. You can cross the road from Komtar shopping centre by a traffic light. Secondly, safety is excellent as there is a security guard manning the entrance. You need access card to take the lift to access your room. There is a convenient store just right at the side of the hotel lobby. We stayed in a family room with 1 queen bed and 2 single beds. Breakfast is sufficient to fill your stomach. All in all, it is a relatively good hotel for its pricing as jt includes breakfast. Lobby smells good. I would strongly recommend all to give Five a try. I’ve stayed at most hotels near CIQ area, this is better that the hotel next to Fives. 😊

The hotel is strategically located between Jalan Trus and Jalan Wong Ah Fook, prime location if you were to visit JBCC and City Square. It is also close to take the bus to Singapore. The hotel room is of decent size, filled with wooden furniture. Too much carpentry, furniture and these designs are outdated and non sustainable imho. Bathroom size is good with good Roca fittings, however, more detailed attentions could be given to the water pressure and floor trap flow speed. The tiles and bathroom furniture again is old design despite the hotel is relatively new (completed in 2017/2018). The bed is huge. The only good part is the complimentary executive lounge served with beer, food and beverages. The wine selection however is one of the worst in 5-star hotels, it would be better to do without the wine and put the money into better food/fruits. The hotel is hardware driven and I felt there are a lot more that can be done apartment cleaning the room and wash the toilet to make it a truly 5-star hotel. Based on my experience, it's at best a 4-star hotel at 5-star price.

This made it incredibly easy to explore the city and enjoy shopping, dining, and entertainment options nearby. Rooms & Comfort: The rooms were modern, clean, and well-maintained. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. I particularly loved the large windows with a stunning city view, which added to the overall ambiance. The in-room amenities, such as a smart TV, coffee-making facilities, and a spacious bathroom, were thoughtful touches that enhanced the stay. Service & Hospitality: The staff at Holiday Inn JBCC were outstanding—friendly, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth and efficient. Special mention to the front desk and housekeeping teams for their warm hospitality and attention to detail. Dining Experience: The hotel’s restaurant served a fantastic breakfast buffet with a variety of local and international options. The quality of food was excellent, and the dining area was spacious and well-lit. The rooftop bar was another highlight, offering a great place to unwind with a drink while enjoying panoramic views of Johor Bahru. Facilities & Amenities: The hotel features a well-equipped gym, a beautiful rooftop infinity pool, and comfortable lounge areas. The pool was a great place to relax, especially in the evening with the city lights in the background. The business facilities also seemed well-suited for travelers needing workspace. Overall Experience: Holiday Inn JBCC offers a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and great service. Whether you're visiting for business or leisure, this hotel is an excellent choice in Johor Bahru. I would highly recommend it and would definitely return for another stay! Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)

Apartment style Hotel. Big clean room to hibernate when fasting. Once breakfast, Pray go out find kueh for raya and eat at bazaar. Morning want eat breakfast before fasting no problem, order grab food or buy night before and heat up using in room microwave. Hotel is near CIQ. But the walk there with bags can be dangerous because of traffic and lobangs on ground. So no choice, grab lo. But if you budget, can walk slowly there in hot sun or now in heavy rain. I whack the ramdhan buffet. The range is not bad, but they don't top up. By 730pm, many dishes especially the sotong, prawn, crab all gone. Teh tarek also never top up. All the best staying here.

Location is convenient. Near city square and CIQ. Hotel room is spacious with view over the causeway. Bed is very comfortable. However there is a pungent smell when you stand near the window. The shower faucet is not working well too. Overall it is still a pleasant experience staying in this hotel.

Der Ort war super schön, komfortabel und sauber. Sicherlich mein Geld wert! :) Wir hatten eine angenehme Zeit & Aufenthalt - nicht den Blick vom Balkon zu erwähnen, so verwirrend. Allerdings war der Eincheckungsprozess etwas verwirrend, da die Lobby unter Bau - musste um den Grünbuchparkplatz zu fahren, um Sicherheitsbewahrte für Unterstützung. Insgesamt war alles großartig! Empfohlen! Sicherlich wird hier wieder bleiben :)

Clean and spacious. The building is newly built, so everything looks so new. Comfy and convenient place to stay with restaurants/ marts/ even rnf mall nearby. Nice sea view. Units are provided with coffee/bottle waters/netflix/fridge/washing machine etc same as description. Good service from the host ! Very responsive and clear instruction for check in. Highly recommended to all.

Nur ok für einen Nachtaufenthalt. Wir reservierten ein Familienzimmer. Das Zimmer war nicht bereit beim Einchecken. Wir müssen im Lobby warten 20-30 Minuten. Verkaufsmaschine für die Getränke und instant Nudeln und Geschäfte nicht in der Nähe. Kann nicht gut schlafen ganze Nacht. Windows im Schlafzimmer nicht klang Beweis. Vorstellen Sie sich bei 230am nach vorn können lauten Kräuter von den Hühnern hören. Schlaflos Nacht und auch weiterhin Sorgen über die Kinder. Die Kinder bunk Bett wurde tatsächlich außerhalb der Halle in der Nähe des Toilettes und es ist ziemlich besorgniserregend, da es in der Nähe der Haupttür und auch Balkon. Wir öffneten die Schlafzimmertür, weil wir es fühlten ziemlich besorgniserregend. Diesmal war die Aura in der letzten Ecke des Zimmers, das uns gegeben wurde, nicht gut.

I love this place! It was clean and newly renovated. Self check in was also seemless as everything was manless. Would definitely come back to stay with them! My apartment view was Singapore and I can see the bridge if there is a traffic jam and is quite helpful. This place is actually well connected to jb custom , it is walkable without grabbing over.
