Sogut Hotel & Spa Old City

Die Lage ist gut, allerdings gibt es fast keine Schalldämmung zwischen den Zimmern. Wir sind in der Nacht 3-4 Mal durch Geräusche aus dem Nebenzimmer aufgewacht.

Sehr gute Lage, in der Nähe von Geschäften und Sehenswürdigkeiten, sauber, Zimmer vom Feinsten, Parkplatz ok. , Personal und vor allem Birgin höflich und freundlich, Handtücher alt, und manchmal hört man die Geräusche des Nachbarn. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen

Die Lage war perfekt. Was mich wütend macht, ist, dass ich für das Parken 10 Euro pro Tag bezahlt habe (im Buch standen 5 Euro) und am Ende keinen Parkplatz hatten. Ich parkte mein Auto vor dem Eingang des Restaurants. Und die Sicherheitskräfte fragten nach den Schlüsseln meines Autos. Jedes Mal, wenn sie das Auto bewegten, weil es keinen Platz gab, gefiel mir an dem Hotel die Sauberkeit des Personals. Sie waren das höflichste Personal, das ich je gesehen habe. Das Frühstück bestand aus 3 von 10 Eiern, Käse, Orangensaft und Würstchen. Das Zimmer war klein, aber ich möchte noch einmal erwähnen, dass die Reinigung perfekt war. Alles pünktlich. Jeden Tag neue Handtücher (DANKE REINIGUNGSPERSONAL). Abschließend kann ich einen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel nur empfehlen

My stay at the Sogut Hotel & Spa in the Old City of Istanbul was truly memorable, largely due to the incredible staff. Mr. Memduh, the manager, alongside Mr. Sabri, Mr. Jalal, and Mr. Mert, were exceptionally helpful, polite, and always ready to accommodate any request. The breakfast offered was fantastic, contributing to the start of each day being just perfect. Traveling with my mother, it was important for me to make the right choice regarding accommodation, and I couldn't have been happier with my decision. The professionalism and warmth of the staff made our stay in Istanbul even more special. I had an amazing week at this hotel. The breakfast was delightful, the cleanliness impeccable, and the staff incredibly kind. I would like to extend a special thank you to Sinan and Mamduh for their exceptional service. I will miss my morning cup of tea.

This hotel was definitely worth the stay and the price. I stay in a lot of hotels and have paid much more for the same kind of room. The staff were amazing particularly Omer on reception! Super warm and a friendly and could not have done any more for us! We only stayed one night but would definitely stay again. For my fellow vegans- The location for vegan food wasn’t great as we found all the vegan places were on the other side of the river, still only a 25 minute drive away from what seemed to be most of the vegan food places but still easy enough to get too-also plenty of food places near by and shops to grab a snack or drink! Lobby was nice enough and everywhere was clean!

Staffs were extremely disrespectful. When I first arrived, they put me in a room with thin walls, broken shower, wall in wall and pulled couch out bed (after I paid for a normal bed). When I first try requesting for a new room on my own, they were not paying me no mind until I contacted my booking company (cheapticket.com). With assistance from my booking company, I was able to get a better room with better bed, no wall in the wall and better shower.

Hotel is in a good location 15 minutes walk to major tourist sites. First room they put us in was next to the lift so everytime the lift moved it felt and sounded like an earthquake. They moved us immediately which was good to a bigger room. The internet in this hotel is non existent it only barely works in the reception. I complained several times and a technician was sent but it did not improve. The rooms were very clean and the housekeeper/maid was very good and very polite. Towels looked like they had not been changed since the 1980s all falling apart. Water was cold unless u left it on for 5 minutes to worm up and water pressure was poor. There was no breakfast available for the time we were there we were told to go to the next hotel. The reception staff did not speak good English and were rude and not listening to what I was saying, telling me "you are wrong" when I was clearly right, he was just talking about something else. The only saving grace for this hotel was the porters especially sabrt who was polite, professional, friendly, knowledgeable of the local area and could bot have helped us more. I suggest to the management if they are reading this that they put the porters on reception and the receptionist as porters. The porters speak good English and have manners and know how to speak to people. If it had not been for Sabrt then this would have been a complete disaster. It was a good stay. The staff and service was great. I loved the hotel, next time I am in Istanbul I will book the same hotel because it deserves to live the same experience.
