Tbh, ich hatte schlechte Erfahrungen mit meinem Zimmer 942. Ich habe mir nur die Schiebetür zum Badezimmer vorgestellt, die ich schwer öffnen / schließen muss. Fön funktioniert nicht. Bügeleisen hmmm muss sehr vorsichtig sein, wenn sie bald zusammenbricht…mehr Wichtig ist, dass Wasser von der Decke tropft Morgen… dann wieder angerufen… sie schickten die Wartung und werden uns ein anderes Zimmer arrangieren… warten bis Mittag… keine Neuigkeiten über das neue Zimmer… ich musste runter und warten, bis sie mir folgen das Hotel…zweite Reise in dieses Hotel…diesmal sehr unangenehm…oh ja der Teppich ist stark durchnässt…

Insgesamt ist das Hotelzimmer großartig. Der Service reagiert, wenn ich um eine Anfrage frage. ABER schlechtes Frühstück, das ich habe. Es lohnt sich nicht, das Frühstücksset mit Hotelpaket hinzuzufügen. Keine Ahnung, wie so ein Essen ist. Machen Sie meine Stimmung herunter, wenn ich ein mutiges Frühstück in einem netten Café in einer schönen Umgebung erwartet. Es hat mich gelehrt, dass nicht einfach jedes Frühstück mit Hotelpaket hinzugefügt wird. Dankeschön.

Paloh was a malay & orang asli (“native”) kampung (“village”) that has been around from at least the 18th century. Apparently the names comes from the founder of the village itself Toh Paloh. Paloh, or palung, also means a depression in the ground that holds water, or a fishing hole to catch fish. It is believed that Paloh was also a boat dock in the past. Some other views hold that the Hakka were the founders of Paloh, and only later came the Cantonese. According to this theory, the origin of the name is a symbolic reference to the dams that were constructed along the Kinta River for fishing purposes. These dams were referred to as “Pa-Lo” in the Cantonese dialect and eventually the area became known as Paloh. Paloh today has of course become the heart of the city of Ipoh. In this old part of the city pre-war Shop Houses line the streets, with a predominantly Chinese character. “Sarang” is a malay word meaning nest, hence “Sarang Paloh” means “The Nest in Paloh”, evoking the image of the hotel as a place of rest for the weary traveller. Located on Jalan Sultan Iskandar (formerly Hugh Low Street), Sarang Paloh is located in pre-war two storey shop houses that originally were the premises of a Goldsmith and a Bank more than 90 years ago. The façade of one of the buildings still has the name of the Goldsmiths on its façade in English, Chinese and Malay (jawi script), with the stately bank building still has the name of Overseas-Chinese Banking Corporation Limited on its front. Across the road, Sarang Paloh has another shophouse of which the ground floor has been converted into a carpark. If you have a car, this is where you would park. Parking is complimentary, but you must exercise caution, turning right into the shophouse entrance as Jalan Sultan Iskandar is a pretty high traffic road, and the building inside is quite narrow, with the cars having to be parked bumper to bumper, in two rows. Exit is out through the back of the shophouse into a back lane. Do bear in mind that if the shophouse is full of cars, you may get boxed in by other parked cars and not able to exit! Fortunately this did not happen to us while we stayed here. Getting to the hotel means having to cross the busy road again on foot, with your luggage, from the car to the hotel. The main reception area was in the former Goldsmith’s building, and the entire front of the shop house is dedicated to the reception. To get in the front door, you will need your access card, or the staff inside will have to let you in, if you have yet to check in. The central part of shop house is a courtyard with a spiral staircase going upstairs to the 2nd floor, and in the back is a sort of pantry area with dining table. Staircase at the back also leads upwards. We had booked a room at the back of the shophouse on the 2nd floor, as we were aware of reviews that rooms in front may have some street noise. Das Standard-Doppelzimmer, das wir hatten, war sehr klein mit kaum genug Platz auf dem Boden für unsere Taschen. Kein Schrank, nur 3 Hänge hängen über einen Zähler. Keine Draht, nur 2 Seitentisch. Kein Kühlschrank, aber es gab einen Safe. Keine Kaffeemaschine, aber wir wurden jeden Tag mit 2 Flaschen Trinkwasser geliefert und es gab einen Wasserdispenser in der Nähe des Aufzugs, um unsere Flaschen zu füllen, die sehr geschätzt war. Das Zimmer war sauber und er sah ziemlich neu aus. Komfortable Bett. Wir mögen es, dass private Parkplätze immer im Grünbuch mit einem Sicherheitsbeamten verfügbar sind (obwohl er von seiner Post abwesend war, die meisten Zeit!) Ein Aufzug ist im Grünbuch zur Verfügung, um den Lobby und höhere Etagen zu erreichen - wir konnten nur unseren Boden zugreifen mit unserer Zimmerzugangskarte - gute Sicherheit. Ein paar Restaurants und Essen in der Nähe. Gut für einen kurzen Aufenthalt.

Kurz: Service ist outstanding! Hier wird einem wirklich geholfen. Zimmer waren groß und sauber, die Fenster dreckig. Ich persönlich mag keinene Teppich im Hotelzimmer, ist mir einfach zu unhygenisch. Gerade der Teppich im Flur wies unschöne Flecken auf. Frühstück: Sandwichkäse....das ist kein echter Käse sondern nur pure Chemie und schmeckt auch nach nichts. Ansonsten war das Frühstück nicht spektakulär. Es gibt einen guten Hawker-Stall ”hinterm” Hotel. Der lohnt sich. Meine Meinung zu Ipoh: Ipoh ist meiner Meinung nach keine Besichtigung wert. Alle Instagram-Spots sind nicht mehr vorhanden (Street Artzerstört, Concubine Lane ohne Regenschirme, etc). , das Essen für Europäer nicht geeignet und die Anfahrt zu aufwendig (vier Stunden mit Bus mit sehr vielen steilen Kurven).

Wir blieben hier nur eine Nacht nach dem Abflug von Penang. Es ist ein kleines Boutique-Hotel mit grundlegenden Einrichtungen, aber sehr nahe an alle touristischen Attraktionen. Wir prüften sehr spät um 7 Uhr, so dass die Straße nach Jalan Bandar Timah ziemlich leer war. Am nächsten Morgen waren wir überrascht, weil die Straße, die überall führte, so zerrissen war und alle Geschäfte (Kaffee-Shops und Restaurants) so mit Menschen verpackt waren, lange Köder überall! Obwohl es ein kleines Hotel ist, ist es sehr sauber. Denken Sie daran, Ihre eigenen Toiletten zu bringen, da nur Shampoo und Dusche gel im Zimmer bereitgestellt wurden. Andererseits war alles gut. Sehr empfohlen für diese Liebe, um zu gehen und lernen über die Geschichte von Perak.

Bets in Garden Hostel ist absolut ein ideales Backpacker-Hotel! Als ich in die Tür kam, dachte ich, es war nur ein kleiner Backpacker. Nachdem ich den Aufenthalt beendet habe, führte die Schwester von Liu Tai uns ins Bett. Der Halle war wirklich sehr schön und der Raum war groß. Es gab Tischtafeln, die mit anderen reden können, und es gab Platz, um allein zu tun, Auf dem Tisch gibt es auch einige Tischtouren für alle, die spielen können. Ich mag diese Atmosphäre sehr gut ～ Nachdem ich ins Zimmer kam, fand ich, dass die Tiefseeplatten hoch sind. Das gesamte Zimmer sieht sehr komfortabel aus. Unter dem Bett gibt es einen Schrank, der wertvolle Gegenstände verriegeln kann, und es gibt auch Ihre eigenen Leuchten, die sich öffnen können, die anderen nicht beeinflussen. Die Toilette ist auf der anderen Seite, weit vom Zimmer entfernt, mag so eine Planung sehr, wenn Sie sich waschen oder waschen, nicht auf andere zu greifen, der Raum ist auch sehr gut konzipiert, und es gibt eine Wasch- und Säuglingsbehandlung, super!

The purpose of this review aims to provide a true & fair view for all the travelers who are interested in booking with BELAKANG KONG HENG. I hope the management can take this feedback into serious consideration & take any necessary actions. We have arrived at 9.20pm & aware that it has way past the check-in hour. There was no one was at the counter to attend to us the moment we arrived. So we made a call to ask for help. The staff, Andy picked up the call & started to rant about our late arrival as if we’ve committed a very serious mistake & there’s no solution to it. We couldn’t help as the traffic was terrible & we were really tired after the long drive so we asked for solution. The next moment he instructed us to go to the mailbox right next to the gate to get our room keys. I mean he could have just skip the ranting & blaming part & tell us straight that the key is just right at the mailbox. Understand that it has way past the check-in hour & the staff might be off duty, however this is not the service that I expect from a so called 5-star hotel customer service. Since the room’s soundproofing is bad, we were given another chance to overhear how Andy takes his customer service skills to the next level in the next morning. He was ranting about our late check-in & request for hair dryer at late night (oh ya forgot to mention that the room doesn’t come with hair dryer & only one bottle of universal shampoo or cleanser whatever you call that to clean your entire body or maybe even the toilet bowl also) in a very frustrated & rude manner. FYI, we did request for hair dryer from Andy but he said the counter has closed & no hair dryer & hung up the call. So we gotta go around to see if there’s any staff around to ask for it. Luckily there was an abang cleaning the room & gave us one from one of the rooms. We overheard & just kept quiet as we were still getting ready to check out in the room. We confronted him at the counter when we check out & Andy truly amazed us when he defended himself by saying he was just talking to his staff & he doesn’t think there’s any problems with being rude. Nevertheless, the hotel is undoubtedly stylish & comfortable in the sense that it truly provides an industrial-chic design with preservation of old building located at the heart of ipoh town surrounded by plenty of eateries & points of attraction. But the customer service, particularly this guy called ANDY, sorry I will never come back again as I don’t expect to pay so much in return for such hospitality.

Leider waren die Zimmer nicht bereit bis 11:00 Uhr, so mussten wir warten, während sie gereinigt wurden. Allerdings waren die Duschen warm und es gab einen gemeinsamen Bereich, um leichte Mahlzeiten zu machen. Würde empfehlen, wenn der Preis vernünftiger wäre.
