Amazing stay ❤️ we arrived in the morning and could check in already, and throughout our whole stay, we were well taken care of, with welcome drinks, fruits, night time warm milk, and even a complimentary ride back to the train station after we checked out. We were told to add the staff on wechat, and communication was smooth and quick - they answered any questions we had, and even gave us recommendations on places to visit. The room was also great, lots of space and beautiful views of the garden downstairs. Many thanks to staffs 七月/十五 for taking great care of us during our stay!

Wir haben in diesem Hotel zwei Nächte als Familie verbracht, in zwei benachbarten, großzügig geschnittenen, modern renovierten und gut ausgestatteten Doppelzimmern. Das Hotel liegt in einer sympathisch-belebten Straße der Altstadt von Dali, aber dennoch wohltuend ruhig, in einem Innenhof. Der Zugang ist etwas versteckt, in einem kleinen, schmalen Stich zwischen zwei Häusern. Für den Fall, dass doch einmal etwas Lärm durch die einfach verglasten Fenster nach innen dringt, liegen Gehörstöpsel bereit.
Die Altstadt mit ihren zahlreichen Restaurants, Cafés und Läden kann von hier aus problemlos zu Fuß erkundet werden, und auch der 2005 wieder errichtete Chongsheng-Tempel mit den bekannten drei Pagoden befindet sich in unmittelbarer Nähe. Der Erhai-See und die Cang-Berge sind problemlos und schnell erreichbar.
Die Kommunikatiom klappte Dank WeChat und seiner Übersetzungsfunktion problemlos. Das chinesische Frühstück (traditionelle Nudel- oder Reissuppe, mit zahlreichen Beilagen, dazu Tee oder ein Zitronengetränk) wurde im Frühstücksraum am Platz serviert. Uns hat es geschmeckt und wir sind satt geworden.
Unsere Gastgeber waren sehr zuvorkommend und bei allen Anliegen prompt behilflich.
Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt, und können das Hotel allen empfehlen, die in einer Hochburg des chinesischen Tourismus eine moderne, ruhige Bleibe mit gepflegtem Ambiente suchen.

This was a really cosy boutique hotel just beside the lake and we had a lovely family loft with a balcony that opens out to the lake. The hotel service was excellent and helped us with transporting all our huge luggage bags to and fro, as well as up the staircase to our room on the highest 3rd floor. We also had free afternoon tea, goodnight dessert, a free photography session and were given 5 free photos as well. Breakfast was promptly prepared and tasted delicious too. Overall a very enjoyable stay!

The location is close to Dali Railway Station but quite far from Santorini Dali and Dali Ancient City. I rate the location as excellent because, realistically, you can’t have everything perfect, so we chose the one nearest to the railway station. Overall, everything was good, and the staff, or perhaps the owner, was attentive at first.
However, on the day we were leaving, we were supposed to check out at 12 PM. I couldn’t reach the staff to store my luggage (I wasn’t sure where the storage was). So, we went about our day and headed to Longkan Wharf, returning at 12:04 PM. To my surprise, the lock had automatically changed right at 12 PM, which I wasn’t informed about, and our luggage was still inside the hotel. We had a train to catch at 12:56 PM.
I tried contacting the hotel via WeChat, but no one responded. We asked the guard for help, but he couldn’t do much except try calling the owner, who didn’t answer. Finally, around 1 PM, the owner responded, saying his phone was broken. Unfortunately, we missed our train.
I acknowledge it was my fault for not checking out exactly at 12 PM, but the lack of response from the owner left us without a place to store our luggage. Next time, it would be helpful if the hotel informed guests about the lock system and responded promptly to messages.
That was our bad experience. If it hadn’t happened, I would have rated the stay a solid 5/5. But, things happen.

SSiu QuanWe rented the Garden Deluxe Room, with a mountain view. We find the description and pictures were accurately advertised, and the service was impeccable. We were very pleased with our rental, as it was private, clean and orderly. The hotel is conveniently located within the Dali Ancient Town, close to Biai Road and Renmin Road intersection (see picture of map). The morning and night views from the terrace were stunning. The Dali Ancient Town is as lively as you would imagine, with tons of food and shopping options. Our experience in Dali was awesome, with it's majestic mountains, beautiful lake, vibrant towns and peaceful villages.
However, the best part of this stay was our interactions with the hotel owners, who are a lovely couple. They are good people - very kind, helpful and approachable. Although we had to use an English to Mandarin translation app for most of our conversations, they were patient and made recommendations that we really enjoyed. They helped us book a tour of Erhai Lake and we had a wonderful time sightseeing with the bus tour company (highly recommended if you don't know where to start exploring). We also took their scooter bike to explore the Three Pagodas on our own and drove around the lake afterwards. Please consider renting their scooter bike, as it was super fun and the price is very affordable. As language is a barrier for us, they not only helped us book our ride to Lijiang, but they also gave us a hotel recommendation, which their son runs. To us, they are very trustworthy, so we're sure we will have another pleasant stay in Lijiang.
After all, it's not how clean the hotel is, or how beautiful the surroundings are, it's the people we meet along the way that makes it a wonderul trip experience. If there is another hotel rating for overall hotel experience, it would be a 10/5 for us. The owners definitely made our short stay very comfortable and our adventures amazing - thank you so much! We would definitely come back to this hotel if we are in this area again!

YYi Ching 貽凈Had the most pleasant stay at Yungu Guishu Inn! The hosts kindly upgraded our room and we couldn't be happier :”). The room was extremely spacious and it even had a balcony with a small lawn. The view from the balcony window was scenic and really beautiful. We could also see Cang Shan from the smaller windows facing the other side of the room, so that was really cool! The bed was comfortable and overall, my boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay. Everything was perfect:)
The inn is located very conveniently right along the main road, so the taxi could drop and pick us up easily. The inn is also within 3-5mins walking distance to and from Erhai Gate, which is also really near the main shopping and eating districts, which was also really convenient!
The hosts were also the nicest people who treated us with great hospitality. Before we even arrived, the hosts texted us via wechat to check in on us. Upon hearing that we didn't arrive with a concrete travel itinerary, the hosts also kindly recommended us places to go and wrote them down on post-its. Upon arrival, the hosts also kindly welcomed us with tea and refreshments, which we really appreciated! After coming back from a long day of travelling, the hosts also invited us to have even more tea with them, over which we accidentally chatted for hours until midnight 😂. My boyfriend and I are normally introverted and quiet people, so we're pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed our conversations with the hosts! If you're looking for authentic local experiences, I think this is the best place you can stay in. :”)

GGRACEOur stay at Dali Xingmai Mountain and Sea View Homestay was pleasant overall and a good value for its price, especially if you're seeking a peaceful retreat in the quieter part of Dali. Traveling as a family, we were looking for a place that offered serene sea views, and this homestay mostly delivered on that. While there is some ongoing construction in front of the building that slightly affects the view, the surrounding scenery is still beautiful and calming. The cleanliness of the homestay was satisfactory, and it offers a good range of amenities. The kitchen, in particular, is well-equipped, making it a great option for families or groups of friends planning to cook and enjoy meals together. However, if you're simply traveling for leisure and don't plan to spend much time at the homestay, you may find the kitchen unnecessary. One thing to note is that there is no central air conditioning or heating system. The homestay provides a bed warmer (which works well) and a small air-conditioning unit in the living room, but the bedrooms can get quite chilly at night, especially during winter. It's something to consider if you're visiting during colder months. In terms of location, this homestay is ideal if you're looking to unwind in a quiet and restful environment. However, for those planning a busy schedule with visits to Dali's main attractions, the distance might be a drawback. The homestay is located in a residential area, and getting to most tourist spots can take 45-60 minutes by car, whether you're heading to the west or east side of Erhai Lake. Instead, check-in and assistance are handled through WeChat. Despite some of the drawbacks, the service here truly stood out. The staff member assisting us was incredibly kind, prompt, and accommodating. Whenever we had questions or faced minor issues, she responded quickly and made every effort to resolve them, which helped make our trip smoother. Her attentiveness and helpfulness were a highlight of our stay and left a positive impression. While this homestay may not have been our favorite, the excellent service and peaceful setting make it a decent choice for travelers prioritizing quiet and self-sufficiency over convenience and luxury.

The hotel itself has a lovely local style and is incredibly peaceful. It’s located a bit deeper into the old town, so you’ll need to walk a few steps to get there, but they’ll gladly come out to assist you.

Ich hatte das Vergnügen, an einem wirklich außergewöhnlichen Ort mit einem unvergesslichen Blick von einer Bergklippe auf den atemberaubenden Erhai-See zu übernachten. Die Atmosphäre war einfach perfekt, und das frische, kalte Wetter trug zum Charme des Erlebnisses bei. Die Architektur, sowohl innen als auch außen, vermittelte mir das Gefühl, nach Europa versetzt zu sein und vereinte Eleganz mit behaglicher Wärme.
Das Personal war außergewöhnlich und sorgte dafür, dass sich jeder Gast willkommen und gut aufgehoben fühlte. Ihre Liebe zum Detail und ihre Gastfreundschaft haben das Erlebnis wirklich bereichert.
Dieser Ort bietet Natur und Luxus in Reinkultur und ich kann ihn jedem wärmstens empfehlen, der einen unvergesslichen Urlaub verbringen möchte.

1) for the room I stayed in to be added a standing light or additional ceiling lights as it's very dark.
2) the shower water doesn't seem to flow out and caused some mini flooding in the bathroom as water reached to the facial wash basin, nearing to the door. Suggest to add additional glass door to avoid such matter as I had to wash my hair in the sink to avoid flooding.
3) cleaning was superficially done but the tea cups were dusty, the hair in the bathroom were not removed
4) service were helpful but it still can be improved

YYizhibuyuanyisiyiderenDas Lob, das ich ausgesprochen habe, basiert ausschließlich auf dem aufmerksamen Service von Bruder Jiujiu und der süßen Wangzi an der Rezeption. Objektiv gesehen habe ich ein Zimmer mit Badewanne und Meerblick gebucht. Das Zimmer liegt im ersten Stock und die Privatsphäre ist sehr schlecht. Wenn die Vorhänge nicht zugezogen sind, können die Leute nebenan zur Aussichtsplattform in der Lobby gehen (siehe ⭕). rechte Seite von Abbildung 1) und schauen Sie sich einfach alle im Raum an 🙂 . Außerdem besteht der Zweck der Buchung eines Zimmers mit Meerblick darin, den Erhai-See zu sehen, aber vor dem Fenster parkt es gelegentlich, aber meistens parkt es natürlich an dieser Stelle. Die Person, die das Boot fährt, kann auch den Raum sehen. Die Leute darin 🌝. Wenn Sie Ihre Privatsphäre schützen möchten, müssen Sie die Vorhänge zuziehen, aber wenn Sie die Vorhänge zuziehen, welchen Sinn hat es dann, ein Zimmer mit Meerblick zu buchen? Die Gestaltung dieses Raumes ist meiner Meinung nach sehr unvernünftig.
Der kleine Bruder Zhajiujiu an der Rezeption war sehr begeistert. Er half uns, den Projektor einzustellen, und half uns auch, das Frühstück aufs Zimmer zu bringen. Bevor wir unser Frühstück beendeten, brachte er uns zum Taxistand Fahrrad. Wangzi war auch sehr süß.
Dies ist die Situation, jeder sollte eine Entscheidung nach eigenem Ermessen treffen😘

TT.W.LBooked the family room at courtyard level as I had elderly and wanted an accommodation which is easy to access. I also did not want to be hoisting luggages up and down and over cobbled streets in the old town and somewhere along the city wall so it is easy to start our tour of the sights around Dali in the morning.
Room: Simple efficient clean layout with open concept. Rooms are relatively new. Sink area is located outside the bathroom which is good. The beds are hard in my opinion but elder felt the bed was comfortable. Bottled water was provided everyday (left outside our door). Room Temperature control was ok and the hot water for the shower heated up quick and could maintain at a stable level which is a plus unlike some other hotels in Yunnan.
There is flight of 3-4 steps to room which is manageable for our elder as the room is slightly raised above the courtyard. We had an early check-in as the room was ready. The staff helped us move the luggages to our room. You could also book the entire courtyard for larger groups. The owner is building additional new rooms in the annex but the construction happens during the day and it is not noisy as most guests would be out.
Location:
It is near the South Gate (there is a local market nearby check the maps or ask the owner) and our local driver could stop right outside our accommodation.
We didn’t get breakfast from the bnb as there were food shops offering noodles, congee and fried dumplings around that open early at 7am. You can also make your way to the local market near the gate. You could also go up the South Gate for free to catch the sunrise or sunset view.
Touring around Dali
If you can comms in Chinese, you could message the owner ahead to assist to arrange for a car transfer from Dali Fengyi Airport or the Dali Railway station to the BnB. It cost RMB50 for us from the Railway station to the BnB. You could also arrange with him for a day driver to take you around the sight seeing places around Dali /Erhai Lake, Mt Cang or a driver to send you to Lijiang. We felt was more efficient and relaxing with an elder. It took ~3h drive instead of travelling south to the Dali train station to ride the train to Lijiang and finding a cab from Lijiang railway to the old Lijiang ancient city.
You could also easily catch a Didi or a cab which could be cheaper. A cab/car ride to the 3 Chong Sen Temple pagodas was about 10rmb for 3-4pax which is comparable to waiting for Bus 4 which cost 3rmb per pax.

LLYLA LIZA GAYAOWe greatly enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Its location is very convenient as it is very near Dali Railway Station and it is also convenient to visit other tourist spots from the hotel.
Upon arrival from the Dali Railway station, you can use the pedestrian overpass (with an elevator) to cross to the opposite side and walk for around 10 minutes to reach the hotel's entrance.
No one speaks English among the hotel front desk staff but they go out of their way & patiently communicate with English speaking tourists through the google translate phone software.
To go to tourist areas from the hotel is very convenient. You can ride the public bus in front of the parking lot which is located in front of the hotel. Bus 4 will bring you to the gate of the Three Pagodas of Dali & Chongsheng Temple. Bus 8 will bring you near the North Gate of Dali Ancient City. The bus fare as of Nov 2024 is 3 yuan per person.
To go to the Erhai Lake ecological corridor, you can take a taxi (which is around 10 minutes ride) from the hotel.
The hotel also provides free bottled water to their guests. Just get the bottled water in front of the table located near the elevator.
The breakfast selection is delicious. Some tourists like us are not used to eating dishes using chopsticks. I hope the hotel could also provide spoon & fork as utensils for use by foreign tourists.
The only downside of the hotel is that as smoking is allowed everywhere, one could smell cigarette smoke in the hotel lobby and corridors.
To improve air quality, it is suggested that the hotel open the front door/windows so more fresh air could come in or perhaps, they could install air purifiers to purify the air.
