Dies ist mit Abstand das beste Hotel in ganz Taiwan, in dem ich je übernachtet habe – sowohl was das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis angeht, als auch das angenehmste. Das Zimmer war stilvoll eingerichtet, und alle Angestellten waren vom Einchecken bis zum Auschecken unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Frühstück, das genauso gut war wie in jedem anderen Frühstückslokal, in dem ich je gefrühstückt habe. Ich würde definitiv wieder dort buchen, wenn ich das nächste Mal in Tainan bin.

Wenn ich mehr als 5 Sterne an XiuXi Anping geben könnte, würde ich es absolut. Von dem Moment an, als ich ankam, fühlte sich alles absichtlich und gewissenhaft geheilt. Die Lage in Anping ist perfekt tucked weg genug, um sich ruhig zu fühlen, aber immer noch unglaublich bequem für die Erforschung der alten Straßen, historischen Orte und lokalen Lebensmittelszene. Es traf das seltene Gleichgewicht zwischen Ruhe und Zugänglichkeit. Der Raum selbst ist erstaunlich. Jedes Detailvon dem minimalistischen Design bis hin zur warmen Beleuchtung und sorgfältig ausgewählten Dekor schafft eine Atmosphäre, die sowohl modern als auch tief bequem fühlt. Es ist die Art von Ort, wo Sie gehen und sich sofort leicht fühlen. Die Sauberkeit war unverfälscht, und man kann den Gastgebern sagen, dass sie wirklich stolz auf die Aufrechterhaltung eines solchen hohen Standards sind. Was die Erfahrung wirklich erhöhte, war aber die Gastfreundschaft. Die Gastgeber waren außergewöhnlich responsiv, freundlich und wirklich investiert, um sicherzustellen, dass der Aufenthalt perfekt war. Sie haben nicht nur einen Ort für den Aufenthalt geschaffen. Denkbaren Touchs über den gesamten Raum macht es sich persönlich anstatt transaktionell fühlen. Wachen war ein Highlight in sich. Das ruhige Umfeld, weiches natürliches Licht und die ruhige Umgebung machten es die perfekte Neuansiedlung aus einem besetzten Reiseplan. Es fühlte sich weniger wie Unterkunft und mehr wie ein sorgfältig konzipiertes Rückzug. Ehrlich gesagt, XiuXi Anping hat einen neuen Standard für das festgelegt, was ich suche, wenn ich reise. Wenn Sie nach Tainan gehen und wohnen, wo es ästhetische, komfortable und herzlich empfindliche Gastfreundschaft kombiniert, das ist es. Ich würde in einem Herzschlag zurückkehren.

We had a great stay at Kindness Day Hotel! It’s small but sleek and modern, with a cozy vibe. The staff were super friendly and helpful, especially for us English speakers, which made everything so easy. The lounge with unlimited coffee and cookies was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. You get a free drink ticket each night for beer or juice, which is a nice perk. Just be sure to use them the same day as they expire. We didn’t get a chance to use ours! The breakfast buffet was decent, not amazing, but still a nice option to have. With a bus stop and bike station right outside and plenty of restaurants and attractions nearby, it’s a super convenient and welcoming place to stay. Highly recommend!

Das Zimmer war etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber sauber. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und sprach Englisch. Es liegt weit vom Bahnhof entfernt, aber in der Nähe der Sehenswürdigkeiten. Ich hatte mich allerdings für ein Zimmer mit Fenster entschieden, da ich es nicht mag, in einem Zimmer ohne Tageslicht eingesperrt zu sein. Es gab zwar ein kleines Fenster, aber es ging auf einen dunklen und luftigen Innenhof hinaus. Das Foto wurde an einem sonnigen Morgen aufgenommen, sieht aber aus wie mitten in der Nacht.

The location is great as it is located to the restaurant and bars cluster. The facilities are clean, well equipped and relatively new. My only issue is with the desk staff, they were not friendly to start with, upon arrival (about 12pm) we were told to just park our luggage at a corner, no tags were assigned, no labelling, nothing. Then told to come back to do check-in at 3pm, they cannot any time earlier than that, so we left and came back at 3pm. At this point it was a female staff with bangs that helped us, I showed her the hotel booking email and she said she wants the Trip.com booking app page, I showed her and she said she wants to see the booking ID. I showed her that too and at this point she said ”read it out to me”. The booking ID was on my phone screen and she didn't even bother to see it, and wants me to READ IT ALOUD TO HER. Maybe she's dyslexic? I don't know. Then I added on one extra day of stay which did not reflect on the paper that she asked me to sign so I pointed that out and she double confirmed that it was printed wrongly. Fast forward a few days, all of our access cards were not able to work for our same rooms that we stayed, I assume it is because she did not grant the correct number of days upon check in, which also resulted in some inconvenience going to and fro the room and counter. And that same staff carried the same attitude when renewing the faulty access cards. Every morning the breakfast service staff was rude as well, like I owed her a million dollars or something, ”you which room? you sit here”. One morning she came to me ”how many people in your room? not 2 person?”, I stayed alone in a 3pax family room with no changes at all. I really dread breakfast everyday. When we checked out there was a new crew of desk staff which was much better in terms of attitude and service, it was the weekend team. I had 2 more weeks of stay in Tainan and I moved to another hotel. Overall I will not stay in this hotel ever again, other than the service, everything is great.

The hotel is old and it shows. There are many pools in the onsen area and guests are required to wear swimsuits and swimming caps. The rooms look like they have to renovated but all public area and pools are aged and cleanliness can be improved. The selection at breakfast is basic but it is fair for what we were charged. The receptionists at the front desk are very nice and helpful.

Beim Öffnen der Tür zu Zimmer 509 schlug mir sofort ein starker Geruch nach Bleichmittel und Desinfektionsmittel entgegen, der mich fast an eine Chlorvergiftung denken ließ. Könnte das Reinigungspersonal bitte an die Bedürfnisse des nächsten Gastes denken? Es gibt viele Reinigungsmittel auf dem Markt, die weniger stark riechen! Und dann noch das Duschen: Man muss in der Badewanne stehen, okay? Erstens ist das Ventil, mit dem man den Wasserhahn auf den Duschkopf umschalten kann, unglaublich schwergängig. Jedes Mal, wenn ich das Wasser ab- und wieder aufdrehe, springt es wieder auf den normalen Wasserhahn zurück. Und dann, beim Haare-, Gesichts- und Körperwaschen, ist es fast unmöglich, das Ventil hochzuziehen, vor allem mit seifigen Händen. Versuchen Sie mal selbst, mitten unter der Dusche das Wasser abzustellen! Außerdem ist der Wannenboden extrem rutschig, und es gibt keine Haltegriffe. Es wäre schrecklich, wenn ein Gast ausrutschen und stürzen würde.

Ich habe leider vergessen, Fotos vom Inneren zu machen, aber die Lage ist wirklich super. Man kann alles bequem zu Fuß erreichen. Ich habe das Einkaufsviertel Guohua-Youai, Ximen Asakusa, die Hai'an Road, die Schneckengasse, das Kaufhaus Hayashi, das Kunstmuseum und das alte Bezirksgericht besucht. Dieses Mal war ich zwei Tage dort. Das Zimmer hatte eine Badewanne, und das Waschbecken befand sich außerhalb der Toilette. Im Aufenthaltsraum im zweiten Stock gab es Kekse und Getränke sowie einen großen Fernseher. Das Gepäck konnte sowohl am An- als auch am Abreisetag aufbewahrt werden, was sehr praktisch war.

The hotel room was clean and basic for the most part and a few small bugs in the bathroom, but nothing major. 4 bottles of water are included and slippers. Beds are firm and comfortable and pillows are ok. However, if you are allergic to napthelene (moth balls), then stay away as the place is strong smelling of moth balls though the room doesn't have a closet or wardrobe. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The bathroom is very basic without a door rack to hang your clothes and the shower partition is only enough to shield the toilet from splashes and without any sliding doors. Toilet doesn't accept toilet paper, so you'll need to put into the provided waste basket. The young lady at the counter was generally helpful, but in a basic kind of way. The hotel is conveniently located right across from the Taiwan railway station in ”downtown” kind of area. The lobby looked big, clean, and decent with a ”putting green” off to the side. The room is quiet, though there are people talking loudly as they check in late at night. The lobby “free wifi” connects, but has no internet service. Room wifi is unsecured, so make sure you have a vpn or use it for unimportant things. They also provide a free luggage storage service before you check in so you can sightsee without lugging your luggage around town. Overall, it’s a good choice for a basic short stay at a very convenient location. The price is also very good. Recommended choice for your next Tainan trip.
