This hotel is a disgrace and the reception and management are appalling. Stayed at this hotel on business for 1 night… I then moved to another hotel in the area as not prepared to remain at the Benjamin. Check in was uneventful. I was given the key and went to the room to find it was filthy. The sheets had not been changed.. hairs in the bed.. the toilet was dirty.. and the shower had not been cleaned. There were hairs in the drain. Immediately I returned to reception who dismissed the condition of the room, and insisted it had been cleaned. After an argument and demanding that a manager view the room I was eventually given another room. No apology or acknowledgement of being given a dirty room. Make no mistake it was not that the room Had not been serviced.. as far as the management were concerned it was clean… it most certainly was not. The next morning at breakfast I noticed flies in the salad vegetables. Again no apology. This hotel is not fit for purpose and should have it’s licence revoked. I was booked to stay for 5 nights and checked out after 1. There are other hotels in the area…stay at one of them.. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR…

Horrible. Every morning the maids make incredible noise in the corridor, slamming the door next to the service lift every 2 minutes. I had to call reception every morning and go out into the corridor to ask them to make less noise. And every morning it started again before 8am. It's impossible to get a good night's sleep in this hotel. They don't give a damn.

We've been there for a week end of May. This is a good place if you need to be around the area or you like go to the beach in Herzliya. It is a very busy area during working days and working hours. It is a high-tech center (Apple is there) and there are thousands of people and cars coming to work there. Good luck if you need to drive in in the morning or out at the end of the work day; you'll need some patience. Hotel is nice, well kept in general, but there are some issues too, as we will see. Room: our room was presented as ocean view; you can see the sea far away between the buildings in front, but that's ok; room was not very big but clean; TV was working ok; there is a small fridge, a kettle, cups, glasses, spoons, coffee and tea. They did room service every day and it was ok. There are LED ceiling spotlights but half of them were burned out in both the room and the bathroom. The A/C is quiet, works well and it's easy to control. The shower had a hand shower and a ceiling shower which was not working and the ceiling of the shower was peeling off as after a flood. Also, there was something weird with the shower: the hot water is fluctuating; it was changing from warm to very hot and back so you had to be ready to jump away not to get scalded. Breakfast: this is a very poor version of the famous Israeli breakfast. Some cut cucumbers, some tomatoes, some very unappealing cooked stuff; bread had no tool to pick-up and everybody is touching with their hands (there was guy that tried all the slices before he picked one - we were lucky to have eaten before). There are some unidentified unappealing soft cheeses in bowls, some feta cheese and a coffee machine that is running out of milk sometimes. Lobby: this is a nice place with lots of chairs, tables and places to sit to have a chat. There is coffee, milk and tea and cookies and dry fruits and even a big plate with a cake. Parking: they have a nice underground parking, clean and it even has background music, but there is something strange happening there: in the evenings and on weekends the parking is half full and most of the cars are rentals (as it should be in a hotel catering to tourists and people on business), but on work days, during the day, the parking is suddenly packed and all the cars are privately owned and not so clean either. So it looks like they are renting parking space during working hours to the people working in the area. And then, if you need to park during the day, they will tell you the parking is full and you cannot use it, as it happened to me once. So it means, that you, as paying customer have no parking even if it was promised to you when you booked your room (parking included), because they are double selling it to other people to make more money. And this is not right.

The room was shabby and poorly maintained. It was almost impossible to climb into the bath/shower because the access to the glass door is blocked by the toilet. A real challenge for the elderly people. The refrigerator was very noisy and had to be plugged out to be able to sleep. There is no restaurant and the lobby coffee machine didn't work... Some parts of the rooms were very dirty and stained. Although it was off season and the occupancy was low, I was given a room next to an occupied room with a noisy couple and everything could be heard through the thin wall... This hotel is a trap for business travelers which don't intend to come back anyway. But the rates are very high and totally unjustified.

The breakfast was great, good location and the housekeeping team are wonderful. We'll definitely be back and can't wait to enjoy the services on offer. It's been one of the best experiences I've had visiting Israel.

Truly a terrible hotel. From the rusty fixtures to the stained upholstery this hotel's better days are behind it. The room cooling was good and the receptionist (Jacob) was very professional and friendly, but beyond that, there is not much I can say about the hotel that is complimentary. No breakfast food (cookies, small pastries) was a major disappointment. Seems they do the best with what they have, though.

Un bel hôtel, des chambres confortables mais un contact commercial déplorable. A notre arrivée en soirée, nous avions oublié à Jerusalem, nos passeports français et le petit ticket bleu permettant de ne pas payer la taxe. La jeune fille de la réception trés aimable nous précise qu'il sera possible de régulariser ensuite. Etant de nouveau à Herzlia la semaine suivante j'apporte les documents manquants et des photocopies et là je suis reçu par le front office manager (M.Isaac ?) qui m'indique que je pourrai me faire rembourser à l'aéroport ce dont je doute. (avec raison puisque le bureau tax free m'a refusé tout remboursement). Alors que je demande à ce M.Isaac à rencontrer un responsable pour avoir confirmation de ses dires, il refuse d'appeler qui que ce soit et me demande de quitter les lieux. Il va même prétendre que je l'ai insulté ce qui est totalement faux. Cette mésaventure m'a couté 300 ILS et il est évident que je ne retournerai plus dans cet hôtel Dommage.
