French Leave Resort, Autograph Collection

Wir waren zu unserem ersten Jahrestag dort. Wir waren so aufgeregt über unseren Aufenthalt. Definitiv kein 5* Hotel. Sie zahlen den Preis, aber die Dienstleistungen sind weit entfernt. Zimmer gleich, nicht auf den Punkt! Das Personal im Restaurant ist sehr süß, Rudy ist super! Allerdings kann man das Gefühl haben, dass es einen allgemeinen Mangel an Schulungen gibt. Letzten Tag wurde mir ein abgelaufener Saft serviert. Luxury Collection muss Luxus sein, kein 4 * Kommt nicht zurück!

Ich war im März 2022 im French Leaves Resort, als ich auf der Insel ein Wohltätigkeitsrennen Bahamas Hope Challenge für Krebs veranstaltete. Während des Rennens habe ich die Goldkette meines Großvaters im Hotelzimmer entfernt und das Personal hat sie gestohlen. Würde es nicht empfehlen, wenn Sie mit Wertsachen reisen.

If you are looking for excellence,, pink sands and ultimate luxury getaway, look no further. Luxury resort without the hustle and bustle of Nassau. Truly delightful. The villas are well represented online_spacious and clean. The food on the property was so good other island visitors flock there, and the staff was the absolute best. As travelers of luxury resorts and hotels—-this place tops the staff of Four Seasons. They were very attentive, accommodating, professional and went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. I would like to shout out to Nick who took care of us at the beach, Donovan, melissa and Keio. And the managers Karell Cephus and Wayland Adderly! The staff has sold us on booking another trip, the beach and the water simply sealed the deal! If you want a luxury experience where you can enjoy this beautiful island, I would highly recommend it.

Outstanding service— one of the best experiences because of the team. Shout out to Karell and Nolan who made our stay so very special. We were upgraded to the two bedroom villa — full kitchen, laundry, patio with beautiful views. Hard to walk into town bc no sidewalks. Cabs can re preordered but be sure to have lots of cash— they don’t take credit cards. Not a lot around the hotel but perfect for lots of rest and relaxation!

Husband and I just returned from a combo honeymoon/birthday trip. First time to Eleuthera and French Leave. Echo-ing all the positive reviews here -- hotel is fantastic! Beautifully appointed, large modern villas, breathtaking location on the Caribbean Sea with golf carts to drive to the unreal pink sand French Leave beach on the Atlantic. You pay a premium for service, and FL delivers in spades. From the front desk to the hotel manager, to the pool and beach staff, and housekeeping, the service is truly what makes this place magical. We traveled alone and thought it was perfect for couples. Food is excellent and fresh, we ate at 1648 several times for BLD - welcome drink is excellent! Do what others recommend -- hit the local grocery and load up on drinks/snacks, pack the beach cooler and enjoy. Eleuthera is a gorgeous, remote, safe island and we are looking forward to returning and staying again in FL. Thank you for such wonderful memories! Other. Restaurants: 1648, Tippy's (so fun!), Buccaneer, Friday Night Fish Fry in Governor's Harbor Excursions: We did a kayaking tour in the south which was awesome with Eleuthera Outdoor Center - highly recommend Other: Bring cash, taxis and some places only accept. Not a lot of places accept Amex. Food is expensive (like, really expensive) for tourists and locals alike so just be prepared for that. Would recommend renting a car, preferably an SUV. Main highway is paved, but many other roads to beaches are not.

We travel quite a bit as a family — this was the most remarkable welcome and overall service. The team truly make the experience— shout out to Karell and Nolan. Beautiful location and views. Walking into town is not as easy because there are no sidewalks but we managed. Not too many restaurants in the area but the team helped set up taxis etc. Bring cash as the cabs don’t take CC. Overall, a great stay!

Ahhhh is exactly how we feel when we first step foot on to the French Leave property. This was our sixth year/visit and we're already planning for another in 2025. We prefer the slower pace, peace and quiet of the Bahamas Out Islands. We also love the warm and personable people. After six years, we feel we know them well -- Wayland, Karell, Kizzy, Torez, Jaced, Melissa, Kelly, Kendall and Keio are absolutely wonderful people, and impeccable service providers. It would be easy to have all meals at 1648 -- the food is very good for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We do, however, like to explore off property, too, and there are several local restaurants on the island to try. You need a car to explore -- even just in Governor's Harbour. I don't recommend walking along the highway. We use Stanton Cooper for rentals. Karell and Kizzy can help with all rentals (car, boat) and suggest day trips and boat captains and adventures (well worth the effort). The perfectly kept waterfront villa we enjoy provides a kitchen where we can keep and prepare snacks or wine, a charming and comfortable living area and large en suite bedroom. It's nice to arrive, unpack and comfortably enjoy time there. Some of the waterfront villas also have washer/dryer units which, after coming from a different island, is quite handy. We spend time on the front porch every afternoon admiring the view. Almost every sunset is perfect. We've stayed there when boats are at the dock and when the dock is empty ... it always feels private. We appreciate the opportunities to see the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic each day! Both are beautiful vistas. We laughingly (sarcastically) say it's just another crowded day on the beach -- most days there are just a few people.

We are Marriott Titanium Elite members, so we travel a lot and, honestly, this was one of the best resorts we’ve ever stayed at! I’m so glad we found this place and can’t wait to return again. The setting was incredibly quiet and tranquil. The villas were comfortable, well-appointed and we had an amazing view of the ocean from our villa #22. The French Leave Beach was stunning with only a handful of people on the huge stretch of beach on even the “busiest” of days. The close proximity to Governor’s Harbour airport made getting there easy. The food at 1648 was delicious, especially the fish tacos! But, more than anything, the people were so warm, and the service was impeccable. Everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and at home. What blew us away was when, one night, we were talking to Sheera, our server, at 1648 we got on the subject of how much we love rum cake. She said her aunt owns a bakery (Cravings in GH, check it out!) and that she would bring us some. Of course, we didn’t think she would and certainly didn’t expect it. Sure enough, at 8am the next morning (on her day off, mind you!), she was at our villa with two huge slices of the most delicious rum cake we’ve ever had. We were so blown away by her kindness and generosity! Will definitely be returning to French Leave soon!

If you want to truly disconnect, relax and do nothing, French Leave is the resort for you. My husband and I visited Eluthera early October. From the moment we drove onto the property, we felt welcomed. We met the amazing Kizzy at check in. She genuinely made us feel that she was so happy to meet us. She thoroughly explained the property and any need was just a phone call away. She walked us to our villa and it was even more perfect than I imagined. After reading the reviews we splurged for the one bedroom ocean front villa. We were in #10, Rock Sound. It was clean, beautifully appointed and the robes were everything! We really enjoyed the views from the front porch. Morning quiet, evening sunsets, and the night stars were all equally amazing. As much of the island was on vacation, many of the restaurants were closed for the slow season. We didn't mind as the hotel has a quaint restaurant with great service. That is where we met Nichole, Geneva, Melissa, Jaced and countless others who made each dining experience different and special. We ate each breakfast and dinner at the restaurant and never once were disappointed. The Conch Rangoons were our favorite and had them each night! Be warned, it is buggy but they offer an amazing bug repellant at the hostess stand we used each night. During the day we spent our time at Ten Bay Beach. It was a beautiful quiet beach a 10-15 minute drive south on the Caribbean side. It was a staff recommendation. In getting directions, we met Corelle. She is the Front Office Manager and was so kind to us. We packed our cooler (provided by the resort), had it filled with ice and were on our way. We did drive the golf cart the short distance to the French Leave Beach (Atlantic Side) but we liked the calm shallow waters of the Caribbean side. The beach was equally as beautiful and Keo will gladly set up chairs and an umbrella. We also checked out the paddleboards and floated around the bay. Unfortunately, I believe they had a slow leak and would not stay totally inflated. But we made the best of it and enjoyed the calm blue waters. I can't say enough about the staff at French Leave. From the GM to housekeeping to maintenance and beyond, we were spoiled. We even crashed a managers meeting one morning and the team of managers kindly paused and chatted with us. It was an amazing anniversary celebration and we will return next year!
