05/01/25. The Bayleaf Cavite
For the Labor Day Holidy, we decided to visit my Uni's museum in the Cavite campus and do a staycation as well.
GOOD:
1. Would like to thank Ms. Rem Sampao FO Manager, for extending utmost assistance to our check-in request. The housekeeping team, B8 bar crew and Door Guards were warm and service oriented. Salute👍🏽!
2. The Atrium were breakfast was served was elegantly designed. The food spread was wide enough for the price range to fill up guests for the day ahead. Their Interns were quick to serve too.
3. The crown jewel of The Bayleaf is their large free form resort pool and open space around it. Very relaxing and big enough for guests not to feel crowded.
4. Rooms were equipped with the basics for a comfortable stay.
COULD BE MPROVED:
1. They should have upgraded their TVs by now to Internet TVs.
2. Please consider adapting to more environmentally friendly Pitchers or Carafes inside the room with water dispensers per floor.
Will return to see if they consider my suggestions.

The facilities were okay but not exactly what I would expect from a four star accommodation. The finishings look old but are still serviceable. The breakfast buffet was good. The Bangus ala Pobre was well seasoned and filling. There were also two real fruit juice options which was nice.

Had a sad experience with the food service at the8th Flr as well as the billing/cashiering. it took so long for the request for transfer to another room was acted upon. the first room hadno telephone and the aircon wasnt functioning. There are no refeigirators in the rooms. The service in the first floor buffet area was good.

A 4 star hotel???? Must be a joke. With no live entertainment, pub or coffee house, how can you even call it 4 stars? Buffet is only so-so but not what you'd expect from a 4 star hotel. General location of hotel and surroundings is also not scenic. Certainly not for solo travelers or for families with children.

Location is good for me because it is one of the better hotels located near my customer's facility. Hotel is clean, but smell of cooking comes into the room when serving breakfast. This is because the dinning area is located below the open concept rooms doorway and due to poor ventilation. It also gets noisy when staff are preparing breakfast and guest dining, especially for rooms in the lower floors. The food variety is very local, does not really cater for international guest and quality is below average.

Huge and clean swimming pool, making it a great place for family with kids.
The rooms are clean though some of the bedsheets and comforter cover are already showing ‘signs of ageing’ and some has stains.
Had a little hiccup during breakfast as apparently our room number was used by some other people or it could just be a simple misunderstanding, I don’t know what happened, no explanation. It was immediately resolved though I felt a little worried. They must have some process to verify both the room number and names to avoid incorrect room charges.
Another not so good but tolerable experience is being at the 7th floor, just below the Fields restaurant, we can hear the floor noises from the 8th floor which is a little bit annoying.
We loved the breakfast and ambiance at Atrium and the dinner buffet at the Fields (French Cuisine).
Overall, we had a great experience and we consider this as our go to hotel for quick getaway / swimming with kids.

Staff was very helpful, breakfast foods are excellent, room are clean. Disappointed about the deposit of 2,000 per day of stay which is unusual if we stayed for 10 days that’s a big amount and fir what reasons?
