Daphne Residence

Just back from 2 weeks at daphne residence with my wife and 8 year old grandson and upon not seeing much details about this great place I'm going to go into detail which will hopefully be of use to others. Arrived about 10pm to reception, which appeared closed but had WhatsApp contact details ( and WiFi name and password) attached to the door. Within in minutes, we were signed in, and the gentleman was helping with our bags to our apartment (123), which was on the 1st floor and facing out onto the campsite and beach opposite. The rooms are modern, clean, and airy with much needed air-conditioning in the living area and bedroom, which was much needed during recent heat waves where the temps were as high as 45C/110F There was a double bedroom with built-in storage and a safe as well as a storage unit with draws. There are also plenty of electrical sockets spare in both rooms for any chargers etc... There are doors out onto the balcony from both the bedroom and living area. On the good-sized balcony were a table and 4 chairs along with a washing line to dry out any towels and swimwear. The kitchenette consists of a 2 ring electric hob, a microwave, and below counter fridge (no freezer section). There were 4 plates, cups, and glasses with cutlery to suit. There were 2 pans and a frying pan and a tray to put washing up into. The living room had an l shaped couch (comfortable enough), a dining table with 4 chairs, and a smart TV (3 English speaking channels). There is also individual WiFi within each apartment, I brought my firestick and connected to the TV to keep the grandson entertained in the evenings. The grounds are well kept consisting of 2 pools and 2 toddler pools, all of which were clean and safe. There was never a problem getting a sun lounger any time of day on any of the 14 days we were there. There is also a volleyball court on the grass behind the larger of the 2 pools, which was rarely used. There is a bar/restaurant which is a separate entity to the hotel which sold food, drinks and ice-creams. It is average quality and price in my opinion though staff were friendly (one of staff is a trained nurse so good for any first-aid concerns). You are free to consume your own food and drinks in the pool area if you wish. There are a few small supermarkets within a 5 minute walk ( go out of gate facing Apache beach club, turn left, walk to top of road and turn right) , this is also the route to Calis promenade (turn right at migros supermarket) where there is a large selection of bars, restaurants and shops to suit most tastes. We also got a late check-out for £25 as our pick-up was 7.30pm and was a god send. Overall, we would 100% return to daphne residence again. Tips: Get 2 keys when checking in to allow for air con to be kept on when you're out in the day. Bring firestick to keep kids entertained

It was horrendous as management, especially the owner were rude, insulting and arrogant. When booking, there was no mention of noise and disruption of major work being carried out. There were fork lift trucks taking out gardens and grounds, building a huge swimming pool right outside our apartment. They seemed to think the noise should be acceptable. She said we were the problem, not her ! She even said, when sitting at reception waiting for her, ' i don't want to see your face' as she came in and immediately walked out! This establishment is just after money, with no concerns for customer comfort and peace..! Horrendous and would Not recommend to anyone!

Very comfortable bed and pillows, Nice and clean bathroom. Apartment very nice, lovely view, clean overall. Communication was a little difficult as the reception area unclear as to when it was manned.

Good spacious 1 bed apartment. Comfy bed & sofa, good sized shower with great water pressure. The safe & aircon were all included in the price. We had a storm whilst we were there & were pleased to find out that they had a generator which kicked in very quickly and restored the power when it went off. The swimming pools were clean & warm enough to swim in even in mid October. We were there for just a long weekend. We will return to these apartments in the future.

Our residence was spacious, clean, affordable. Perhaps could have a little supply of cleaning materials.

Just returned from an amazing stay at Daphne Residence. Myself and my two adult daughters had a fabulous time. The hotel is a small 65 rooms, I think, self catering hotel. The two adult pools are great and never many people in there. Never had a problem getting a sun bed wherever we wanted. The hotel is at the end of Calis beach so the walk to the shops/***** is maybe 20 minutes but it’s all flat and there are plenty of bars and restaurants to stop for refreshments on the way. The beach is right in front of the hotel, it is a stoney beach but is beautiful. The views from the balcony are unreal, mountains and the sea. We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant one day and it was lovely. The room was well equipped if you want to cook there. The staff are great and always on hand to help should you need anything. I would not hesitate to recommend Daphne Residence for a wonderful base for a fabulous holiday. Thank you

I really struggled with this review. The accommodation is spacious and well equipped for self catering. It could do with a slightly better cleaning services but nothing major there. The location slightly outside town (few minutes walk) is perfect for a relaxed holiday. However the entire experience was marred by the accommodation manager so I'm rating this place one star to make it noticed. My flight home was very late in the evening. Following other reviewers on here I attempted to book a late check out. Told by reception this was not possible as the apartment was needed for another guest checking in that night. Fair enough. So I asked if there was another room that could used only to be told that was not possible as the complex was fully booked. This was an outright lie. The place was only half full and there were entire floors unoccupied. So I attempted to ask if there was a shower room as it was a long hot day waiting on a near midnight flight so freshening up would have helped. I got as far as "Do you have a shower..." and the reception manager interrupted me with a firm NO. What's worse, I could see a shower room over her shoulder as she was saying this! Obviously not for checked out guests. Basically, once you're checked out of our apartment you're of no interest to them. Would go back to Calis Beach as it's a lovely resort but there's zero chance of me returning to the Daphne Residence while the staff have the attitude they have to guests with any requirements whatsoever.

Basic but nice in a fab location walking distance to supermarket, Calis beach ***** with bars and shops. A few repairs and updates need doing to the hotel, drinks are far too expensive make them cheaper and people will drink and eat more at your snack bar. Balconies for families (2 bed apartments) need to be bigger could only fit 2 people.

Lovely clean comfortable apartment . We stayed 4 nights . Friendly helpful staff.
