I love this cozy hotel that has delightful caring owners! They make great suggestions & take time to give exact directions to sights. The breakfast is excellent with many choices. The best in Italy in my opinion! Including fresh fruit salad

This is a really convenient hotel, just 10 minutes (max) walk to the centre of Florence and even less to other attractions such as the Accademia gallery and the San Marco museum. We were given a warm and friendly welcome upon check in by Marco and provided with lots of useful information about the area. Our room was very clean and had excellent air con thankfully, as we were visiting during an unexpected heatwave. I would definitely stay here again, the only reason I am not giving 5 stars is that at almost 160 euros per night I thought it was on the expensive side for what it was.

Such a beautiful hotel right in the centre of Florence. The family that run the hotel are so friendly and welcoming. It really showed after the previous places we stayed at. Our family room was lovely and big with great air con. My teenage girls loved the fact they had their own beds. Loved the bathroom too. Very stylish.. Again, so clean. Breakfast was great and a real treat. My husband liked the fact there was a little lounge area he could retreat to, to get away from 3 females faffing around getting dressed! The location was perfect. We could walk everywhere. We drove to Florence and the recommended car park was very close. The only issue we had was that are so many road closures... It took us a good 30 mins just to try and work out how to get to the car park which was frustrating.

Friendly and helpful owners who explained exactly where and when to go see the sights. Only a 20min saunter into the centre of Florence with air conditioning and a yummy breakfast! Only thing to note is not suitable for those that struggle with stairs as on the second floor.

The infrastructure of the Giglio can have some improvement. There was no AC for the first day/night in our room, and it’s very hot in Florence in July. We were moved to a different room the second day. Marco and Manuela are extremely helpful and always willing to help their passengers.

Great hotel! We chose to stay here because we wanted to be near my daughter's boyfriend while he was studying abroad and we were very happy with the hotel. It's a typical European hotel but we were thrilled with the A/C unit that we could control in our room as it was very hot when we visited. I made a few requests for taxis and they were very accommodating. If you need extra towels or anything, just be sure to plan ahead, as they do not staff the hotel past midnight. That was always when we seemed to remember we needed them, but we just made do. I would definitely stay here again. It was within 15 minutes walking distance of everything, located on a great street that was busy enough to feel safe and also centrally located. The couple who owns the hotel was lovely, very kind and helpful.

AAA Excellent property, the location was convenient to the tourist area without it being in the middle, an easy 2-3 block walk. The hotel staff were top notch, helpful, gracious and excited to share their city with us. The breakfast buffet was amazing with something for everyone.

Loved this hotel! Amazing owners are always there to greet you with a smile and are very helpful. Fantastic breakfast, spacious and clean rooms. Centrally located and can walk to the main train station and key sites. Highly recommend this place.
