Hotel with stunning views which we were unable to enjoy due to the poor conditions of the room. We stayed at this hotel having paid for a balcony which we could not use because the shutters were broken. This, of course, happens. What shouldn't happen is being verbally attacked, insulted and shouted at by the hotel owner claiming that the customer is wrong, simply because we explained that we had chosen their hotel for specific reasons, as if it were normal that we pay for a service that we cannot use. We did not even ask for a discount - we simply informed them of the reason why we had chosen the hotel, a claim which was met by unnecessary unprofessional insults, which as respectful and respectable clients we should not hear. In short, we paid for a service that we could not use and the reaction on behalf of the management was appalling, and practically unseen in the hundreds of hotels we'd stayed at in over 70 countries. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to Italians or foreigners simply due to very poor customer service so expect any issues related to your stay to go unsolved.
