Lovely room with view of Arthur's seat. Comfortable bed and extremely clean and welcoming.

We booked this guest house as it was the best price for the area at the time (Fringe Festival & Military Tattoo week). The owners communication was great before arrival and even made a special trip to the shop as I asked if he could put a box of maltesers in the room. We were in room 3, which has a double bed, wardrobe, vanity unit with mirror, two chairs, TV and tea making facilities, no en suite, but you have the use of a private wc/shower just outside the room (the other rooms have enough suite). The room was clean and suited us perfectly for the long bank holiday weekend. The tea making facilities were refreshed every day and the wc was replenished with toilet roll etc. Only gripe, not really a gripe just a bit of an FYI, the mattress is a bit squeaky when turning over in bed. You are given a key to the guest house and room and unlike other guest houses there is no curfew, just a request that you be considerate towards the other guests if coming in late / going out early. Thank you for a lovely stay, we will be back next year. Also, had a meal at Pataka, an Indian restaurant just up the road. It was a lovely meal. I would also recommend you use Uber and not the local taxis as Uber was cheaper, though it's only a 15 minute walk into the city centre.

Myself and my friend have been using Capital House for multiple years during our stay at the Edinburgh Fringe and it is perfect for our needs. The walk to and from the centre is about 15 mins and passes some really nice food places and shops, a perfect way to start a morning. The beds are warm and cosy, the shower is hot, and the welcome is friendly. Looking forward to returning next year.

Had a lovely stay here. Fortunate to get a room looking out to Arthur's seat. Checked in a bit early but this was no issue for the host who kindly accommodated. Parking was easy and location is just a short walk into Edinburgh

My mother & I had a lovely time, our twin room has been upgraded by our kind host to a large family room with en suite bathroom. Fresh towels, coffee & tea with biscuits provided daily. Very attentive and efficient service. Beds are comfortable, the guest house has glorious high ceilings with unique decor. Walking distance to Arthur’s sea and to Edinburgh centre. Lovely stay. Highly recommended.

E stato un soggiorno confortevole Amira ed il marito sono stati accoglienti gentili disponibili ci hanno dato consigli e suggerimenti per visitare la città e per muoverci con i mezzi di trasporto la stanza era pulita ed accogliente tutti i giorni asciugamani puliti biscotti per la colazione the latte ecc non essendo un hotel ma una guest house si ha la sensazione di avere una casa la posizione perché non centralissimo ma nemmeno fuori mano si può arrivare alla royal mile a piedi in mezzore se si vuole camminare oppure la fermata vicino alla casa in 15 minuti arrivi al centro complimenti ai proprietari che fanno del tutto per farti sentire a tuo agio consigliatissimo

Graziosa residenza signorile in quartiere tranquillo, a pochi passi dalla fermata dell’autobus che porta in centro città. Camere in stile classico inglese con moquette, cambio giornaliero di biancheria, angolo caffè/the e biscotteria secca per la colazione fai da te. Il bagno un po’ piccolo e datato, proprietari cordiali e sempre disponibili. Bagno dotato di sapone e phone. Piccolo parcheggio in strada. Di fronte è possibile fare una gustosa colazione sia dolce che salata in una caffetteria davvero carina. Esperienza sicuramente positiva, giusto rapporto qualità prezzo.
