I was excited to go back after the refurbishment, having had a great time previously. We had to wait for the girl on the spa reception to finish her chat before acknowledging us. We were given some forms and told to take a seat. The spa was filled with children who were running riots. We were told when booking the arrival drink was tea or coffee, so we ordered a coffee and was told the coffee machine was broken so could only have herbal tea. So we were not off to a good start. Then off to get changed where the girl said there would be towels and flip flops already in the locker. Only one of us had a locker with this in. So we had to interrupt the receptionists chat to get those. The facilities have not been refurbished, and the steam room smelt so bad we couldn't bear to use it. Indoor pool is lovely, but it needs a bit of music or something. Cups and mugs and towels were left throughout the whole morning. Treatments we had booked for the same time as per my confirmation. We sat waiting, two of my friends went through, and I sat there, so I asked and was told my treatment was 30 minutes later. I queried this, and she said the manager had moved it some time ago. There was an apology that I hadn't been informed but added to the already there frustration. The treatment itself was amazing, my therapist really listened to what I wanted and delivered(sorry I forgot your name, brown hair and glasses, but you really do deserve credit) in fact, all of us were blown away by the treatments. Although, you can hear absolutely everything from the treatment room. could hear the same girl from the desk, noise from the gym and every time someone opened the changing room. As this was a treat for a friend we did not make a fuss, we paid and went for lunch earlier than planned. We went through to the hotel, where the receptionist was busy looking at her mobile over helping us. We made our own way to the restaurant. I did absolutely love the decor in the main hotel and that felt as though it really transformed. Lunch was great, service was excellent. We didn't get any names, but everyone who served us was fabulous. Things were on the look up! We decided to stay in the bar and lounge area for our coffee, finally! We really eally enjoyed the atmosphere up there. Overall, I wouldn't go back to the spa, the expierience of the spa itself wasn't relaxing or luxury. I can't wait to go back for lunch.

Von der Front-Desk bis zum letzten Moment mit der Front-Desk bei Abreise - wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt. Das Essen im Restaurant am ersten Abend war lecker und das Frühstück war großartig, obwohl bei £14.00 ein Kopf wir dachten, es war ziemlich steif. Der Spa und der Pool waren schön und sauber und der Fitness hatte einige der besten Ausrüstung, die ich je gesehen hatte. Wäre definitiv wieder aufhalten!

Das war ein hervorragendes Hotel. Service war großartig. Von James in der Rezeption, die uns mit Professionalität und Wärme & Tipps zu besuchen begrüßte, bis zum Restaurantpersonal, das hilfreich und reaktiv war. Der Koch war großartig - das Essen war geschmackvoll und zu einem großen Standard. Das Hausbetreuungspersonal war freundlich und auch untergebracht. Wir hatten einen wunderbaren und ruhigen Aufenthalt. Unser Hund genossen das Bett und behandelte sowie Spaziergänge in den schönen Erdbecken. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet und die Zimmer waren sauber, schön dekoriert und komfortabel. Wir werden TGIS Hotel regelmäßig auf unserer Liste machen.

We visited The Abbey Hotel at a time of immense stress having been displaced from our home due to flooding. What can we say, all the staff from front desk to housekeeping were fantastic! So warm, friendly and compassionate and not just paying lip service. The room was large and immaculately clean with beautiful quality bedding and towels, crisp and clean. Breakfast is a continental offering and everything is again of great quality and range of choice. Thank you to all of you who made a stressful time that little bit easier!!

Es ist wirklich ein sehr gutes Hotel. Der große Rasen vor dem Hotel befindet sich gegenüber dem Rathaus und die Hintertür ist ein großer Park. Es gibt viele Restaurants in der Umgebung und es gibt einen Supermarkt innerhalb von 5 Minuten zu Fuß. Das Hotelzimmer war besonders schön, sauber und ordentlich. Das Hotelfrühstück ist reichhaltiger, englisch, Omelett oder Kuchen und so weiter. Die Rezeption und das Servicepersonal waren sehr freundlich. Die Sehenswürdigkeiten von Cotswold erreichen Sie vom Hotel aus mit dem Auto in 30 bis 40 Minuten. Alles in allem ein sehr gutes Aufenthaltserlebnis.

I must admit I was pleasantly surprised on my visit to the Citrus. After reading previous reviews I was not expecting much, but this was not the case. Firstly th e staff were terrific, Georgia in the breakfast area was a gun, she rattled hot breakfast after hot breakfast out in a few minutes. The rooms although in pastel colours were bright spacious and clean. We stayed two nights here, pluses also are the location one street back from the high st, eateries such as Wetherspoons etc. Highly recommended.

Das Hotel war schön, nichts besonders bemerkenswert. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und freundlich, alles war sauber und gemütlich. Die Lage ist ideal für die Erforschung von Cheltenham. Wir hatten eine komplimentäre Zimmeraufbau, die schön war, aber es fühlt sich viel von einer Vielzahl von Zimmertypen. Ein wenig irritierend, dass, wenn man ein Getränk von der Bar kauft, einige Bereiche geschlossen wurden, so dass wir in der Rezeption sitzen mussten. Die Barpreise waren sehr vernünftig. Wir haben im Hotel nicht gegessen. Unser einziger wahrer Grippe war die Parkplätze ... am Samstag spät ankommende Nachmittag, der Park war voll, was erwartet werden sollte. Eine Erlaubnis wurde für die Parkplätze auf der Straße zu einem Preis von £10 organisiert. Wir haben später die Genehmigungen/ auf der Straße die Beschränkungen nur für ein paar Stunden unseres Aufenthalts in Kraft gesetzt. Bei Fragestellung der Kosten wurde gesagt, dass es uns erlaubt, bis Mittag nächsten Tag zu parken - es war freier Parkplatz am Sonntag dennoch! Diese Kosten wurden von unserer Rechnung entfernt.
