I can not even sure where to begin in listing my praises for Chais Monnet. We just returned from a 3 week visit to France which included time in Cognac and Bordeaux. If only we could have spent all our time at Chais Monnet our trip would have been absolute heaven. The property itself is outstanding, modern and yet with a hint to preserving the past in a thoughtful and respectful way. Our room was beyond comfortable, the bed dreamy. i most appreciated the separate water closet with its own sink, a lovely and thoughtful arrangement. The entire property was spotless and attention to detail seemed to be projected at every corner. I am so surprised to see negative comments related to the staff because our experience was the exact opposite of that. Ellie in guest relations went above and beyond to prepare things for our visit, arranging special birthday celebrations for our traveling companion, making dinner recommendations and reservations, and leaving a personal note thanking us for staying. My only regret was I did not get to meet her in person to thank her, she was on holiday during our visit (well deserved Ellie). All the staff from the breakfast crew to the rooftop bar were friendly and amazingly eager to meet your requests. The bar staff was delightful and we enjoyed several evenings in the Jazz House and at the Rooftop bar enjoying cocktails and excellent and informative conversation. The Spa services were professional and spot on and pool, oh the glorious pool. We spent an entire day enjoying spa services and the pool with consistent but discreet food and bar service. I cannot find enough adjectives to adequately communicate our level of satisfaction. We felt welcomed, taken care of, and appreciated, no one was stuffy or overbearing. The five star designation is well deserved and in the future when I return to this area of France the only place I will consider staying is Chais Monnet. Travail bien fait!!! Das Cheval blanc ist eine gute Unterkunft für einen Zwischenstopp in Cognac. Die Zimmer sind klein, aber ordentlich mit guten Betten, funktionalem Bad, und Klimatisiert, was bei unserem Aufenthalt wichtig war, denn es herrschten Tagestemperaturen von über 40 Grad. Dennoch war die Klimaanlage sanft genug, sodass wir eine angenehme Nacht hatten. Frühstück ist Self Service und kann auf dem Innenhof eingenommen werden, wo es morgens angenehm ist. Die Lage ist sehr zentral. Die öffentlichen Parkplätze vor dem Hotel sind am Wochenende kostenfrei. Sehr zufrieden mit dem Service der Rezeption.

Ibis Cognac is a great example of a typical Ibis hotel. No frills , reasonably priced with everything we needed for an overnight stay on our road trip to Spain. The bed was comfortable, the facilities clean and the wifi was good. Breakfast offered a great selection and they even provided paper bags for people to take stuff away with them . It was well placed to explore Cognac. We didn’t visit any of the brandy producers but there several within a few minutes of the hotel. There is free parking in the public car park opposite the hotel. Special mention should be given to Lucy on reception who went out of her way to be helpful. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it.

Das Hotel ist sehr gut ausgestattet und bietet Ihnen 2 schöne Fenster. Was ich mag - Sehr komfortable Bett - Super effizient AirCon - Sehr ruhig - Kettle - Großes Badezimmer mit Regendusche - Frühstück war hochwertig mit vielen Auswahlen und hervorragenden geschraubten Eiern - Umbrellas zu nehmen Zum Verbesserung - Das Hotel WiFi für die Zimmer wurde für die gesamte Zeit meines Aufenthalts zerbrochen. Meine Kollegen informierten mich, dass es für ein paar Wochen gebrochen wurde - unser ganzes Team beendet, die SIM-Karten mit großen Daten enthalten, um von unseren Zimmern zu arbeiten - niemand im Hotel hat mich jemals geholfen, irgendeine Art von Entschädigung für das WiFi anzubieten Situation ANMERKUNG: Es gibt begrenzte Innenparkplätze für eine Gebühr, aber kostenlose Außenparkplätze sind sehr nahe am

Good location for visiting Cognac, Angoulême and environs. The hotel has views to the Charente river and beyond. You can visit the wild ”jardin respectueux” in front and reach the river on foot for pleasant promenades. The outdoor pool isn't heated, which would make it pleasant in the hotter months. In the price of the room, we were able to reserve an hour-long slot per day for the little spa with its hammam, sauna and jacuzzi. It could do with a revamp, as could the rooms, but the communal areas seem to have been renovated more recently. The set dinner menu at 33€ was excellent and the service from Thomas and his team was very good. The buffet breakfast was copious and was made up of a great deal of local, organic produce. High five for the scrambled eggs, which must have been made the traditional way over a bain-marie.

Très bonne nuit sur la route des vacances ! La piscine est propre et très agréable après la route. La literie pour les enfants est une vraie literie dans les chambres de quatre, ce qui n’est pas toujours le cas. Un petit problème de propreté a été très vite réglé. Aussi n’hésitez pas à signaler ce genre de problèmes pour permettre au personnel de réagir. Chambres très bien isolées, nous n’avons pas entendu la route. Certes, il est difficile de dormir la fenêtre ouverte mais il y a la clim. Le petit-déjeuner est varié et très bon, surtout le far breton 👏🏻. Enfin mention spéciale à l’équipe pour son accueil souriant et sa gentillesse.
