La cuisine est excellente. Un personnel très jeûne mais très accueillant. La route n'est pas trop pratique pour monter vers l'hôtel.

The cons outweight the pros with this hotel . The hill to get to the hotel is a 30 degree slope and is narrow ,very terrifying even with a 4×4. The room i booked was not available upon arrival No AC Room is very outdated by all metrics. You have to pay to have guest join you in the pool . They entered my room without notice for cleaning and they did not provide any "stay out" door card in the room. They do have a decent staff Good food a pool and good view of the city. I stayed at this hotel for 4 days , and all 4 days i had an incident or accident trying to go up the hill . I will not recommend even if you're a local and experienced offroad driver .

Stayed two nights. The hotel is located up an extremely steep hill. The road is narrow with sharp turns. The location is reasonably quiet, although there is no soundproofing. Beautiful view from the garden. My experience was mixed. The hotel provides airport transfers for USD 30 each way, which is very expensive for a distance of 4.6 km. I was picked up at the airport and, upon arrival at the hotel at 11:00, they gave me early check-in at no additional cost, which was greatly appreciated. The standard room I had booked was up on flight of stairs. It was clean, although fairly basic and dated. The A/C wasn't working (which had been communicated in advance), but the room had a ceiling fan and a portable fan, so it was ok. The bed was on the soft side but overall passable. There was a decently lit desk area. Sufficient number of power outlets. The bathroom was quite dated. The sink had a very loose faucet, and the shower was handheld only. There was plenty of hot water with good water pressure. There were several power outages every day, lasting from seconds to a few minutes. Almost every one of those resulted in the wifi not working for at least 30 minutes. Breakfast was included but portions were meager and service extremely slow. The first day it took almost an hour to get fruit and pancakes, even though the restaurant was nearly empty. The next day I told them I was heading to the airport and asked for the quickest breakfast item they had on the menu. Even though it wasn't busy at all, it still took over 40 minutes to get three pieces of fruit, bread (not even toasted) and jam; coffee was cold. The hotel restaurant also serves lunch and dinner, but options are limited; if you have special dietary requirements, you definitely need to order in advance. The restaurant staff seems to have a "couldn't care less" attitude. There are no other restaurants in the immediate proximity of the hotel. The front desk staff is generally helpful. They set up a private tour for me to visit Citadelle Laferriere and Palais Sans Souci (~ 4.5 hours, USD 160) - not cheap, but it worked out well. A word of warning about transfers to the airport booked through the hotel. I had booked my ride 3 hours before my flight, earlier than the hotel recommended. However the driver didn't show up on time, and we left the hotel 15 min late. Due to the rain, there was a major traffic jam with bumper-to-bumper traffic. In order to make my flight, I ended up getting off the car half way to the airport and getting on a mototaxi (with all my belongings, suitcase included).

The route to go to the hotel is terrible I can’t go up there do to the big rain the mountains is really high ,my vehicle slight back until I left going to another hotel

The place itself is ok, but the road to get there is extremely narrow and very scary

I love this place but the road to take you to the hotel is very danger and scary .

I did not stay at the property, I made different attempt to contact expedite. The hotel agreed to waive the penalty because I didn't want to stay in room without AC and all the other problems.

I liked almost everything about this hotel. It was very welcoming. The servers and all the other staff are amicable. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the overpriced food and drinks—$ 4 USD for a glass of lime juice in Haiti. C'mon now. Also, the mosquitoes were not that fun. Other than that the place was such a healing place for me. It offers peace, a natural vibe, hiking, privacy, and even more to discover. I wish the artists will place their paintings in a different space, like one of these open rooms in the back area downstairs, and show them like a paid entry gallery instead of leaving them outside to collect dust and rain. Maybe create more souvenirs and showcase other types of art from the locals as well. Anyway, thank you for my time there. I had a great time. The food is also good. The drivers were very helpful. Again, Thank you. I will make this place my home each time I am in town.

Cap-Haiten is an anomoly, being peaceful and safe as opposed to Port-au-Prince. This hotel is an oasis in the city, in my opinion. It's situated high up the side of a mountain overlooking the sea so walking there isn't a great option; however, once you are there the views fromthe $128 rooms are fantastic. They serve dinner and drinks which are reasonably priced and they offer taxi service (airport and city) and tour contacts. Although I went with a tour operator, I think I'd just use the hotel services. The only downside to the hotel was that there are electric restrictions and gas generators burn gas at $10-$20US/gallon, so air-conditioning runs from about 8-11 PM and then 4-7 AM. If you ask for a fan, they'll provide one and the balcony rooms help keep things cool. Cap-Haiten doesn't have a lot of tourist attractions and it's likely cheaper to use the hotel to hire a taxi for an entire day rather than a guide you find on the internet. We did take a Caribe bus from Cap-Haiten to Santo Domingo for $40 USD/each which was an 11 1/2 hour outing but it was fun.
