RAC Cable Beach Holiday Park

This is a nice and mature site compared to others I’ve been too. With maturity though comes the need to modernise the facilities. It would be my only criticism of the site was the quality of the wash room areas. Although big and showers powerful, they were old and stained. I watched a few trailers struggle to get into some spaces too and it wasn’t any where near busy. For some reason they kept putting people all together instead of on the half empty park. Would stay again, useful cafe and shop and close to cable beach. Use Oiii for taxi service though as you’re miles from town.

Nice quiet caravan park close to cable beach. Nice pool but that’s all there is for young kids. Stayed here to get out of red dirt sites, this park offers crushed gravel site which makes a nice change. Hit and miss with caravan sites. Some big, some small and very tight. Park was only half full, most large sites left vacant, not sure why park doesn’t offer these in off peak time. Clean toilets and showers, lots of washing machines that actually work so that’s a big tick.felt safe and secure which is nice given most places we traveled through across the top of NT and WA we had to lock everything away when not at our van, or locals will steal it. It’s 2023 , time for the locals to start helping themselves, and not just to your stuff. Would stay here again given most van parks in Broome offer pretty much the same.

RAC Cable Beach is a lovely holiday park set just behind the beach at cable beach. Short walk to the beach, great little cafe onsite, excellent amenities and lovely pool area. We stayed on a powered site for 4 nights with 2 kids (6 & 8) and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This is a great family park. Booking over the phone I spoke to an absolutely lovely, friendly young lady who was most accomodating whilst I booked a cabin for us, plus a powered site for my daughter and family. Unfortunately I don’t know her name, but 10/10 to her! Upon check in my daughter and my husband both said that Liz who checked them in was very abrupt and rude. Other guests we spoke to in the park also had the same experience with her. Aside from that, the cabin provided everything we needed for our 7 night stay. Air conditioners and fans made it very comfortable during the heat of the day. The washing machine in the cabin was a much appreciated bonus. The early mornings were lovely sitting on the big verandah having breakfast or a coffee. It is close to an airport but the noise didn’t bother us at all. Our daughters caravan site was directly across from us so the grandkids were able to go back and forth between us and their parents! The swimming pool was fabulous and we spent many hours in there. The mini golf was also a big hit with the kids, and the kiosk had lovely fresh food. Staff in the kiosk were all nice and friendly too. A great family holiday was had!

For our first trip to Broome, we chose a cabin at the RAC Caravan Park, and we were not disappointed. Right across the road from Divers Tavern and a short walk to Cable Beach. The Cabin was spacious and very clean, and the pool was lovely. We would definitely book there again.

We spent a week at RAC Cable Beach Holiday Park in June 2023, our first visit to Broome, along with two other couples. All the staff we met over that week were knowledgeable, friendly & helpful. An early check-in the day we arrived was so much appreciated. The holiday park was very well maintained with lots of shade trees and a tropical feel, well positioned in a nice area, close to Cable Beach. Even the fallen leaves were blown out of our site while we were away during the days. It had a security barrier on the driveway entry, operated by a swipe entry mechanism and the staff were very observant and responsive to appropriate use of this entry system, as we found out. Husband and friend were stopped and approached on entry when they used one swipe card to enter two vehicles, the second vehicle belonging to that of another friend who had already checked out early due to an emergency family matter at home (& had returned their entry swipe pass on leaving), but whose vehicle remained on their booked site for us to take for a planned service & pick up afterwards, prior to us delivering it to a storage facility. Well done RAC Cable Beach! When it was explained to the staff, they knew all about it! The facilities were top notch. Everything worked! Nice clean ablution facilities with plenty of toilet & shower cubicles. Large laundry area, also with handwashing sink facilities & plenty of hanging lines. The pool area looked very inviting and we so wanted to get there, but we were so busy in Broome that we missed the opportunity to enjoy it. We would stay at RAC Cable Beach again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.

Park was a lovely place to call home for a week or more, kids loved the pool, mini golf next door and treats from the Cafe, shirt stroll to the beach to play on the park - this was a downfall my kids love a good park and we didn't find one at this caravan park:( Would definitely come back, much better since it was Palm Grove!
