Premier Inn Cardiff Bay

I loved how convenienty located the hotel was to mermaid Quay. It was also located near to a bus stop which took us to the city centre. The reception was really nice :) there are some constructions going on so our room had the windows covered (which I didn't prefer) but it was still nice

Close to the Cardiff Bay area and a very short bus to the main city and Cardiff Castle. Breakfast was excellent (but no muesli). Rooms spacious but no fridge (I think that the UK don't do fridges) we did enjoy our stay and would fully recommend staying here. Car park is next door at a multi carpark which is subsidised by the hotel @ 25 - 30%.

The hotel is perfectly situated for the Millennium Centre. We were going to see a concert and decided to stay there. The hotel is very modern and clean. We had a premier plus room on the fifth floor and there were three lifts so easy for us to get up to our room. The room was really large and very comfortable. It was spotless,we liked the Nespresso machine and kettle with a selection of options. There was a hairdryer and a light up vanity mirror with a shelf to put your makeup on. We had an accessible room and it was well planned with plenty of grab rails in the roomy, well lit bathroom. We had the meal deal package and it was definitely worth it. Tasty food and generous portions. The breakfast was everything you want and all perfectly presented on the buffet. The staff were absolutely amazing, helpful, friendly and courteous. Definitely planning to go back next time we are seeing a show or concert.

Hotel is fine, but everything just feels grubby. Bedding and towels smelt stale and carpets were dirty. I found an open safety pin under the bed which could of been painful!! Breakfast was good value and plenty of it. Think the place is just very understaffed and it shows

Great hotel but could do with a deep clean. The staff are really helpful and would recommend it. The car park is behind the hotel and you get discount from the hotel. The location is great and a short walk to the harbour

The main problem with this hotel is the staff their attitude if you have a complaint or problem is oh they're just out for a freebie. Everything was too much trouble, the rooms were not up to the usual Premier Inn standards, the pillows we poor quality and filthy, which they begrudgingly changed, in our friends room the bedsheets had about 5 or six thick repair seams in it. the breakfast was its usual good quality, although the floors were filthy, and hadn't been cleaned since the evening service as there were slices of pepperoni pizza etc on the floor. We ordered food on our first evening, as we arrived late in the day, and having eaten in the Thyme restaurants many times we know the food is good, one of the party ordered a plain burger, as they dont like sauces etc, the food came with everything, when we asked that they replace, all we got was oh you csn just take it off, and walked away, we had to get the manager to sort it.Our room tv was well playing up, very slow to start and change channel, but the funniest bit was as we left on Sunday we couldn't turn it off. We were in Cardiff for the rugby 🏉 and have a long weekend break to recharge batteries. And celebrate 30th anniversary and birthdays. Although the service was bad n cleanliness left a lot to be desired it hasn't put us off Premier Inns, and the location of this one is ideal with large carpark facilities next door. Would probably use the new one in the centre in future though.

The receptionist in this hotel is just the greatest. She was so helpful and kind and welcoming. She's 5 star The hotel needs to improve. We requested a twin room , I checked 3 times by phone and email and still just the double made up and one towel provided but the wonderful receptionist sorted it .

perfect location so close tot the cardiff bay and hotels near by and cardiff central just 4 mins on a train quick journey , I would go and stay their again , nice and clean hotel room plus clean bathroom , no issue with the customer service , all good
