Nechako Valley Inn

The person working the front desk was super nice, and tried his best with what he had. When first checking in, the lobby is dim with no actual front desk, he comes out of an office with a laptop and meets you at what should be a front desk. The first room we got had a clogged sink, which the staff didn’t know how to fix (I had to help). They switched our room to another. Both rooms had stains all over the carpet and you could feel the subfloor lifting under the carpet with every step you took. Beds were extremely uncomfortable, and neither room they put us in had towels or cloths of any sort so I had to request them. What made this experience the worst was the noise. Between hearing the train like it was in the room with you, to the stomping of other people in the building like elephants, to the street racing and burnouts from people on the street because the inn is conveniently on a straight stretch. But…. The finally straw where I got so angry was the 2 am screaming match which I can only assume was a marital dispute. The man who was in the next room to me was yelling (not in English) at a woman who was on speakerphone and not even there, yet I could hear her clear as day. Despite me hitting the wall to get my point across to be quiet this continued on for over an hour. The walls are paper thin and for 2 terrible nights I didn’t sleep. I will never stay here again.

The young man helping at the front desk was extremely helpful and went above and beyond

Front office and cleaning staff were friendly. Room was tidy but not great. Bathroom sink and bathtub were painted so had bits of white paint peeling off everything. Toilet tank was cracked and poorly patched. A few “rowdy” neighbours with some extracurricular activities going on… if I had a choice I would stay elsewhere next time.

Transitioning..TV didn't seem to be connected..room very warm..manager very helpful but very basic accommodation..clean though..good location from highway and walking distance to good dining..

I booked the room online and it said $79.00 I arrived late and worn out after a long day riding my motorcycle. They told me that the price was 117.00. I was too worn out to go look for another room. Then they ended up charging $155.00 The hotel was a dump and not worth $30.00 at the most.

Rugs were dirty. Room fan covered with dirt. Shower never worked . Windows dirty. Room smelled.

We were welcomed cheerily and our bags were delivered to our very, very basic room. Thanks for the bed. E G

In a good location, unfortunately this place is a very tired hotel needing a serious renovation. The carpets were quite dirty, the room smelled like cigarettes.

Nicely renovated rooms. Friendly staff. Hotel provides fresh coffee, water. No elevator but manager helped carry luggage to second floor rooms. Hotel bar has some food but Pizza restaurant is a block away. Room had what’s needed and was clean. Will stay here again. Good rates.
