Das Hotel war die perfekte Lage für einen Nachtaufenthalt, als ich am nächsten Morgen einen Fahrt vom Bahnhof zu fangen hatte. Es war grundlegend, aber alles hatte ich nötig. Der einzige Niedergang war, dass ich absolut erschöpft war - ich war über 24 Stunden aus der ganzen Welt reisen und wach gewesen, aber ich hatte Schwierigkeiten zu schlafen, weil ich alles hören konnte, was in der Halle und in den Zimmern meiner Nachbarn passiert. Papier dünne Wände. Ich war im Boden. Aber das Frühstück war sehr füllig. (Foto zeigt, wie super nah es ist an der Bahnhof. Sicherlich das bequemeste Hotel, wenn Sie Transport dort zu fangen)

I stayed at the Rubin Hotel for 10 days at the end of March beginning of April 2023. I’ve stayed before but for a much shorter time. I used the hotel because I’ve been having dental treatment in Budapest and the Dental Surgery is within walking distance. As a vegetarian their menu for lunch and evening meals is very limited, only one vegetarian option and disappointedly the menu doesn’t appear to change? I also think it would be a nice touch to have a kettle along with coffee and tea in the room. This appears to happen in most other hotels I’ve stayed in, especially England, perhaps understandably. The room itself was good and because the Dental Surgery made the booking on my behalf, the price was reasonable. There is a Metro reachable by foot, approx 17mins, which is handy because the hotel is a bit out of the way to central Budapest. There of course buses but I found them a bit more difficult because understandably all destinations were in Hungarian, whether the hotel could provide a useful transport map, would be beneficial.

I am an Accor Platinum card holder and I have never complained about an Accor hotel, but I have just experienced the worst three nights sleep in many years, due to not having any working air conditioning in rooms that were like saunas. Opening the window at night did not help as outside was just as warm AND there was a Harley Davison convention happening, so bikes were making lots of noise day and night. I complained three times and was simply told maintenance had been informed. Even on leaving, I was not even given an apology, having been asked how my stay was. After the 2nd complaint I saw my room being added to a long list of hotel rooms needing air conditioning repaired, so it is quite clear this hotel is not fit for purpose, especially as I paid €150 per night non refundable. And I have to say that breakfast was very basic.

Ausgezeichnete Lage und das chinesische Restaurant des Hotels ist sehr gut! Das Zimmer war sauber und das Personal war sehr nett! Auch für Geschäftsreisen ist dieses Hotel eine ausgezeichnete Wahl. Mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln gut erreichbar.

Der Aufenthalt im Hotel war sehr angenehm, der Checkin war rasch erledigt, ein schönes Zimmer mit Blick zur Burg. Frühstück war hervorragend, gute Auswahl und frische Speisen, am Abend in der Bar war die Bedienung ebenfalls sehr aufmerksam. Insgesamt wieder ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt in Budspest, leider nur zwei Nächte!

A very clean and modern hotel. The breakfast is by buffet help yourself. The fare is varied and plentiful. If you are a light sleeper try and get a room at the back of the hotel as the hotel is situated near a busy four road intersection. It didn't bother us as we used to traffic noise living on a busy road at home. The public transport is excellent and a bus stop into the city will be found about seventy five metres from the hotel. You cannot buy tickets from the driver, across the busy intersection where the return bus stops on it's return from the city is a ticket machine. Purchase a 24, 48, 72 hour or longer bus pass, this will allow you to use all the public transport in Budapest except the Hop on and Hop off buses. This includes the trams and the metro. If you don't want to buy a ticket you can still use the bus without one as the driver will not check. However, occasionally an inspector will be on the bus to check tickets, if you don't have one you will be faced with a large fine. By bus it takes some ten minutes to get to Elizabeth bridge, get off there or the next stop some fifty metres further on. Check your map and look for Vaci Uta, this is a traffic free road with numerous restaurants. We found Cafe Ana to be a good place to eat and drink as it is situated in a pleasant spot and just across the road from the indoor market. Finally, if you do decide to walk to Elizabeth bridge from the hotel be prepared to encounter a lot of traffic en route, it is further than you think and not very enjoyable on a hot day.
