The staff here are very welcoming and always happy to help, with great knowledge of tourism hotspots in the local area. The location is great, right in the heart of Budapest within minutes of Váci street and the Danube River. There are lots of great locations nearby so this is a perfect spot for a tourist holiday. The hotel was incredibly clean and the rooms are equipped with everything you would need (TV, wardrobe, toiletries, hairdryer, mini bar and safe). There is only breakfast service and no other food or drink service in the day, but the breakfast room and terrace are open to sit anytime, plus there is no need for more facilities when the city is right on your doorstep.

The Florin hotel in Budapest was excellent as was the location. Area 6 is well located to the Jewish quarter and the bohemian area. The hotel is 10 min walk to St Stephen’s church. Trams stop right outside the hotel and main metro station is less than a 10 min walk. For over 65s public transport is free, but is cheap anyway and so easy to get about. Attila, Balint and Lori at reception were great ambassadors for Budapest and the hotel - helpful and friendly. The rooms spacious with a little kitchenette and good bathroom. Very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Wir waren für 4 Nächte im D8 Hotel und haben unseren Aufenthalt genossen. Die Mitarbeiter sind total freundlich, wenn man ankommt und man bekommt einen Plan für Budapest. Die Zimmer sind zwar etwas klein und es gibt wenig Möglichkeiten Kleidung zu verstauen, jedoch hat es für unseren kurzen Aufenthalt gereicht. Das Frühstück war auch gut. Das Beste ist die zentrale Lage des Hotels. Man benötigt keine Minute und ist mitten im Geschehen (beim Weihnachtsmarkt). Trotzdem war es in den Zimmern ruhig und man konnte gut schlafen.

I was supposed to stay for three nights at the MP Hostel in Budapest; but left a couple of hours after I checked in. I arrived in the hostel before the check-in time; thus requested to leave my suitcase while awaiting check-in. Receptionist David just told me, ”You can put it in the storage room.” He did not even show me where the storage room is. I had to find the room myself. Mind you, David was not busy at that time. He was just chatting with a friend in the reception area. When I finally checked in the hostel late afternoon and went to my room, I noticed that the room was very cold. I opened the heater knob; and waited for more than an hour. No changes; it was still very cold. I then went to the reception; and informed receptionist David about this. He was in the reception, indeed, just talking to another hostel staff Daniel who is apparently the hostel F&B manager. He casually told me, ”Open the heater valve.” To which I replied, ”I did that more than an hour ago; but it's still very cold. Perhaps you can accompany me to the room; and we can both check the heater.” David answered, ”It's not my job. I'm the receptionist; not the technician... and the technician is not here. Wait for your room to get warm.” I said, ”It's been more than an hour since I opened the heater; but the room never got warm at all. If it's not your job to address the heater problem, then who can help me fix this? Can you at least transfer me to another room with a working heating system?” After David called up someone and checked the available rooms, he finally agreed to move me to another room. While I was at the reception waiting for my new room to be ready, I was talking to a friend on the phone to express my disappointment. When David said that my room was ready, I hung my phone up right away; and was surprised when he said, ”I”M A F*CKING RECEPTIONIST. THE HOSTEL MANAGEMENT PLACED ME HERE BECAUSE I SPEAK ENGLISH. CHECKING THE ROOM OR THE HEATER IS NOT MY JOB.” I replied, ” Where did the 'F*CKING RECEPTIONIST' words come from? To be clear, I never addressed you a 'F*CKING RECEPTIONIST.' ” I said these sentences at least twice, to reiterate my point. Without knowing the context of the conversation because he (Daniel) was playing a video game on his phone, F&B manager Daniel suddenly charged at me, kept on pointing his right index finger at me, and raised his voice, ”Don't you dare disrespect my friend and call him 'F*CKING RECEPTIONIST' OR ELSE...” I then said, ”I didn't even call David a 'F*CKING RECEPTIONIST.' Go ask him.” When David agreed that I did not call him that, I then went inside my new room which was still very cold. Heater in the new room was not working. Again. After all the negative experience at MP Hostel Budapest, I decided to leave right away; and found another private room in a hostel nearby. Zero customer service. Aggressive. Threatening. I hope the hostel will improve on its customer service, and value its guests.

Ich schlage vor, dass Sie nicht mehr hier wohnen. Wenn Sie keinen Vier-Sterne-Standard haben, wird Ihnen ein Vier-Sterne-Zimmerpreis berechnet. 1) Wir können erst nach 15:00 Uhr einchecken und haben den Schlüssel erst um 15:20 Uhr bekommen. Nach dem Betreten war die Haushälterin noch am Putzen, was für einige Störungen sorgte. 2) Die Wand ist gepudert 😅 Ein großes Stück liegt hinter der Tür. 3) Das Badezimmer ist nicht sauber und riecht schlecht.

Gute Lage direkt am Bahnhof Budapest Keleti pu (direkte Züge ab Wien und weiter). Metrostation vor dem Haus. Stadtzentrum sehr gut erreichbar - auch zu Fuss. Hotel befindet sich in den oberen Etagen des Hauses (Réception im 5. Stock). Zimmer funktional eingerichtet, sauber. Zimmer im 6. Stock haben Dachschräge, somit nur mit Kippfenster und sehr eingeschränkte Aussicht. Frühstück landestypisch „ok“. Personal / Gastkontakt ok aber nicht übermässig hilfreich.

Sehr guter Preis für das Geld, einschließlich schönes Frühstück :) Wir nahmen mit 9 yo-Kid, Fuß am Wochenende in Budapest, um die Schönheit der Stadt zu sehen. Zum ersten Blick überblickten wir dieses Hotel auf der Karte, da es nicht gerade im alten Stadtzentrum war, Aber nur 4 Busse oder 3 Metrostops entfernt, nahe dem neuen Teil namens Corvin tér, was sehr praktisch war. Wir fanden schönes modernes Zimmer mit ziemlich großer Terrasse, geräumiges Badezimmer und perfekte moderne Betten. Unser Kind hatte ein einzelnes Bett gleich wie ein Erwachsener, das großartig war. Hotel ist Sehr modern, aber einfach mit schönem Personal. Am Frühstück, auch in voller Kapazität, war jeder zufrieden. Eine minus ist das Gebiet mit einer riesigen Anzahl von Studenten und auch das Stadtstaube könnte besser auf die Umgebung des Hotels sortiert werden (nicht ihre Schuld, aber sie sollten sich vielleicht etwas um sie kümmern).

The room is clean and spacious. The beds are good. The staff is kind. I would definitely recommend going to this hotel. Only thing is that it’s not one of the closest hotels to the city centre. There is a breakfast bar next to the hotel where you can get some great sandwiches. The WiFi is fast in the hotel. We also did not hear any noise

Das Zimmer im Hotel war gut für Geld und sauber. Es war auch sehr ruhig bei Nacht und nach einem Tag auslaufen und die Sehenswürdigkeiten der alten Stadt, es war der perfekte Ort, zurück zu kommen und zu entspannen. Die Stadt ist nur wenige Minuten entfernt, und es gibt Busse, die direkt am Stadtzentrum anschließen, und der nächste Metro ist nicht weit entfernt. Der Shuttleservice, den das Hotel verwendet, ist sehr zuverlässig. Das Hotelpersonal wird entweder einen Transfer vorab mit ihnen buchen oder die Kunden können es selbst von einem leicht gelegenen Desk am Flughafen machen. Ich fand das WLAN im Zimmer sehr schnell und immer anwendbar.

Here is my opinion on the hotel: + very clean and room smells nice + the staff is nice and welcoming + good sound isolation regarding the outside noises + I like the colour of the interior and general theme they are going for - the parking is not included in the price you have to pay 10€ per day - breakfast has limited options, I was surprised that there is no small sausages or bacon and for some reason they had broccoli and potatoes + the bagels were not fresh
