Hotels in der Nähe von Biserica Vovidenia, Bukarest

When i got there, I was told I was too early (fair enough, check-in is from 2 pm and i got there around 11.30) I had sort of anticipated this, so thought i would just kill some time at the skybar which supposedly has a great view - but much to my surprise, I was told the skybar was closed, only open for breakfast. Must be the biggest attraction of the hotel, and in their wisdom, they close it! So instead, I took a walk heading towards the parliament building which is preety close by. When i returned a while later, room was now ready but oh by the way, the lift doesnt work! So i now had to carry luggage up the fire exit staircase (room was on 4th floor). Very narrow and poorly lit, so if you have trouble walking - good luck. Just hope you dont meet somebody coming down - passing them will be a challenge :-) Reception said lift would be fixed in a day or two!! So i made it to the room and cannot really decide what to think of it. On the one hand, it was spotlessly clean and looked very new and modern but on the other hand: No coffee / tea, There was a minibar with some wine and soft drinks but no beer,No glasses to be found anywhere (so I guess, just drink the wine from the bottle),WiFi works but not very stable - keeps dropping out. At breakfast, the skybar was now open - 2 people in front of me for the coffee machine which was quite slow - turned out they were not guests - but the breakfast room staff!. When they finally had their coffee they went straigth out onto the open terrasse for a cigarette (very small outdoor terrase and the staff now occupied 1/3 of it) and started chatting quite loudly - so terrasse is just as much for the staff - not the guests only. And really - if staff of any kind of establishment wants to have a loud discussion, do so away from the guests!! Breakfast was very poor - quite frankly pathetic! - some dry toast bread, a little bit of cheese and some slices of what looked like ham/salami - nothing warm like e.g. eggs (of course the staff were busy out on the terrasse smoking and having a loud conversation). Definately not worth any money at all - instead head out for one of the many cafes very close by. The lobby has what looks like a bar, but all they sell is coffee. Big surprise to me when late afternoon after a long walk i came back, asked for a cold beer and was told they didnt have any!! You can have some wine from the minibar, but you cant have a beer anywhere. The day of departure i waited a little in the lobby for my taxi to the airport. Need to use a bathroom?? Too bad - just like the lift, out of order. This would be fixed ”in a day or 2” so clearly not a priority for this place. Wifi, although it did work in the room - no luck in the lobby - could not connect at all. The guy in the lobby was nice enough but most of the time you will find him outside, having a smoke. All in all, extremely dissapointed with this place. Wish i had gone back to Hello Hotel instead - breakfast much much better, you can

Das Hotel hinterließ einen guten Eindruck. Stimmt, das Fenster blickte auf den Hotelhof und die Leute bewegten sich vor dem Fenster, vielleicht ist das ein „Zimmer mit Aussicht“??? Das Essen im Restaurant ist sehr lecker und auf dem Buffet gibt es genug, wenn nicht sogar genug, und es ist für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei :). Ich habe die Minibar nicht benutzt und ich habe nicht ganz verstanden, warum ich zwei Lei und Kopeken zahlen musste, vielleicht für Seife und Shampoo???

Ich habe im Mai einen 4-Nacht-Unterkunft in diesem Hotel gebucht und warum ich es reservierte, weil ich die Liste der Hotels von Accor mit einem Exekutivlounge anschaute, das Novotel Bucharest als eine Lounge zeigte. Als ich ankam und fragte, wo die Lounge war, wurde mir gesagt, dass es keine war und es nie wieder nach Covid geöffnet wurde. Das war eine große Enttäuschung und vor allem bedeutete ich kein kostenloses Frühstück. Trotz dieser wurde ich upgradiert und das Zimmer hatte eine Minibar mit Bier und Snacks, die täglich kostenlos und voll ausgefüllt war. Dies war großartig und ein wirklich schöner Vorteil. Die Lage des Hotels ist wunderschön und ist so nah an die alte Stadt. Mein Freund Zimmer war auf dem 10. Stock und völlig ruhig, so dass es gut war. Ich aß ein Abendessen im Restaurant und ich war riesig beeindruckt mit den günstigen Preisen, eine große Auswahl an traditionellen Speisen und der wirklich freundlichen und effizienten Service. Ich dachte, es war ein hervorragender Wert. Insgesamt, ein tolles Hotel. Empfohlen.

This is a simple hotel that had the basic amenities but as that was all we needed we were quite happy with it. There are a couple place you can sit outside and enjoy the weather if you’d like. The only downside was they do not store luggage and the check out is early (10 am) so we had to get another day since our flight was later.

The hotel is situated a few metres from the Gara de Nord railways station and underground station, so it is very easy to reach. The check-in procedure was fast, room clean with a large bed, toilet, shower, TV set, hairdryer etc. The door is card-operated, mine unfortunately didn´t work properly, so I had to go to the reception desk twice but the girl was really helpful. Breakfast is served in the adjacent building from 7 .00 to 10.30, quite a good range of things to choose from. Wi-fi connection strong and stable. Next time in Bucharest I will definitely try to get a room here again.

Ausgezeichnetes Hotel, 1 km vom Zentrum entfernt. Seriöses und kompetentes Personal, ausgezeichnetes internationales Frühstück. schönes Badezimmer und sehr geräumiges Zimmer. Minibar, Haartrockner und Hausschuhe. Netflix, Disney usw. funktionieren... Ich würde sagen, ausgezeichnet! Bett ohne Oberteil ist nicht top.... kleiner Parkplatz für Autos. Probleme mit der Schalldämmung und Rauchgeruch durch rauchende Personen im Gebäude.

Ich bin seit vielen Jahren in diesem Hotel in Bukarest gekommen, weil es ein sehr freundliches Personal, saubere und gemütliche Zimmer, ausgezeichnete Lage und Frühstück. Aber heute Abend war ein erster Abend, wegen eines Vorfalls, aufgrund dessen ich mich vor dem Empfangsbüro gefunden habe, aber ohne Zimmer. Glücklicherweise hat Herr Popescu, der Rezeption Mitarbeiter, das hilft und gelang es, ein Zimmer zu bieten. Nicht nur, dass, angesichts meiner Geschichte mit diesem Hotel, das er anerkannt und respektiert hat, er mir das beste Zimmer möglich. Danke, Herr Popescu, danke, Mercure Bucharest City Center Hotel 🙏.

Das Hotelzimmer hatte alles, was nötig war, und die Größe war normal. Das Bett ist sehr komfortabel. Sie servieren auch Frühstück am Morgen, wo Sie mehrere Buffet-Produkte finden können. Und das Hotelpersonal war sehr gut. Das Hotel liegt nicht in der Nähe des Zentrums, aber der Bushaltestand ist 2 Minuten zu Fuß vom Hotel entfernt. Auch, wenn Sie vom Flughafen kommen, hat sie eine gute Lage. Ich würde es noch einmal wiederholen. Sehr empfehlenswert.

I am staying here on business in July-2024. The hotel exceeds my expectations on cleanliness and amenities. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The bathrooms are very clean and well maintained. I have not used or experienced the gym or spa so I can’t comment on these facilities. I highly recommend the hotel rooms, restaurant and bar. Excellent service good food and pleasant staff. Just what you would expect from a four star hotel.

Sehr gutes Hotel mit schönem Außenpool und Poolbar. Auch im Pool ist gut,nur in Jobs eingestuft, etwas seltsam. Schöne, saubere Zimmer mit guten Betten und gutes Badezimmer. Mit Schrank, Minibar und TV. Restaurant gut. Frühstück sehr gut. Einige gute Restaurants in der Nähe. Taxi zum Zentrum sehr erschwinglich. Ein wenig weniger, dass es keine aktiven Entspannungsmöglichkeiten gibt, wie z. B. ein Tischtennistisch, Billard usw.
