Hotels in Amsterdam mit Frühstück

This boutique hotel looks cute for its design, but their business practices are dishonest! I felt uncomfortable with how they treated customers. First, the room I received was not what I had paid for based on the pictures in the app. During my one-night stay, they claimed the hotel was fully booked and offered me a “special arrangement” in a secret annex. I was taken aback and suspected it was staff accommodations since I accessed my room through a different door that had a sign. When I inquired further, the hostess told me I received an “upgrade” to a canal view room because they were full. However, this room was tiny and the heating didn’t work at all. That night was freezing, and when I asked if the AC could help regulate the temperature, I learned it was only functional in summer. They didn’t have any portable heaters available either. I was shocked that the heating system was inadequate, especially in Amsterdam during the snow. The hostess later offered to switch me to another “staff” room, which I switched later, but it was still cold, and I had to sleep in my down jacket. If your hotel is fully booked, don’t allow overbooking on platforms and provide customers with staff accommodations; that’s not acceptable business practice!!! While the hostess was polite and they did give me a bag of snacks upon checkout, the fundamental purpose of staying in a hotel is to have a comfortable experience, which this stay did not provide. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Additionally, the hotel is overpriced, charging a premium for a small room that simply isn’t worth it. Think twice before booking here. They should refund half of the money I paid for my night for such a dishonest practice!

Hotels in Amsterdam sind zu teuer. Nach langem Zögern habe ich mich schließlich für dieses Mercure entschieden. Es stellte sich heraus, dass es das Geld wert war. Die Hotelkette ist weiterhin vertrauenswürdig. Das Hotel liegt in einer Gemeinde in der Nähe des Amsterdamer Nordbahnhofs. Obwohl es etwas weit vom Hauptbahnhof und der Altstadt entfernt ist, fährt die U-Bahnlinie 52 in zwei Stationen direkt zum Hotel. Die U-Bahn-Station befindet sich direkt neben dem Hotel und die Innenstadt ist in nur 10 Minuten zu erreichen. Neben dem Hotel gibt es viele Restaurants und Snacks sowie McDonald's, KFC und zwei große Supermärkte. Es ist sehr bequem, Dinge zu kaufen. Auch die Hotelausstattung ist sehr gut und der Clou dabei ist, dass Einwegpantoffeln und Toilettenartikel sowie ein Kühlschrank und kostenloses Mineralwasser zur Verfügung stehen. Das Hotelfrühstück ist auch gut. Es gibt sowohl kalte als auch warme Speisen. Es ist eher für Freunde geeignet, die es nicht gewohnt sind, morgens rohe und kalte Speisen zu essen. Außerdem gibt es verschiedene Käsesorten und Räucherlachs.

Dieses Mal habe ich ein neueres Superior-Zimmer gebucht, es unterschied sich jedoch nicht von dem Standardzimmer, in dem ich zuvor übernachtet hatte. Die Schallisolierung ist sehr schlecht. Man hört deutlich, wie sich mitten in der Nacht die Türen anderer Zimmer schließen, was den Schlaf beeinträchtigt. Das Essen war ok, nichts Besonderes, aber auch nicht unbefriedigend.

Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet, nur eine Straßenbahnhaltestelle vom Hauptbahnhof entfernt, dennoch relativ unabhängig und ruhig, sodass das Sicherheitsniveau deutlich höher ist als im Bahnhofsbereich. Auf der Brücke gibt es eine kleine Eisenbrücke, über die man zum Hotel hinuntergehen kann. Auf diese Weise muss man nicht weit bis zum Hotel laufen. Es ist also nicht leicht zu finden Es wird empfohlen, danach zu suchen. Das Zimmer ist geräumig und sauber, mit dem Meer vor dem Fenster. Ich mag den Duft der Toilettenartikel, den leichten Pfirsichduft gemischt mit dem Duft von Blumen.

Das Hotel ist sehr neu und das Frühstück ist unglaublich abwechslungsreich, besonders die Wraps. Ich habe ein paar davon gegessen. Auch die Fortbewegung ist sehr praktisch: Eine U-Bahn-Station befindet sich direkt gegenüber und mit dem Bus M51 dauert die Fahrt zum Hauptbahnhof etwa 20 Minuten. Beim Auschecken überreichte mir die attraktive Rezeptionistin zwei kleine Geschenke, was eine herzliche Geste war.

Da Hotels in der Nähe des Amsterdamer Hauptbahnhofs teuer sind, habe ich mich für das Express Hotel eine Station weiter entschieden. Es liegt sehr nah am Bahnhof Sloterdijk und ist mit dem Eurail Pass kostenlos erreichbar. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, sauber, ruhig und gut belüftet sowie hell. Die Frühstücksauswahl ist zwar begrenzt, aber von guter Qualität. Ich würde mir wünschen, dass auch Conditioner angeboten wird. Das Personal an der Rezeption war unfreundlich und am Abreisetag hat das Reinigungspersonal schon früh an die Tür geklopft, was störend war. Es wird empfohlen, den Service zu verbessern.

Wie immer ein toller Aufenthalt hier, denn die Lage und die Ausstattung könnten nicht besser sein. Die Bar unten ist großartig und das Personal ist auch sehr, sehr hilfsbereit.

Das Hostel liegt sehr zentral, man kann direkt aus der Tür gehen und ist in 2 Minuten bei der Fähre. Die Fähre ist kostenlos und verkehrt rund um die Uhr. In 2–3 Minuten stehen Sie vor dem Hauptbahnhof und sind direkt am Anfang von Amsterdam. Es war perfekt zum Reisen, es gibt abschließbare Schränke in den Zimmern, aber Sie können sie abschließen, wenn Sie ein Vorhängeschloss mitbringen. Die Reinigung und Bedienung waren gut. Wenn ich wiederkomme, werde ich wieder hier übernachten.

The Hotel Library has an unbeatable location and room size! Spacious big bed, enough walking space in the room and nice bath/toilet size too. Location wise it is on the very main road - walking distance of 8-9 minutes from Centraal Station and opposite to the floating Chinese restaurant. The views of the road from our room were really amazing too. Its heater quickly heats up the room. TV is okay size and has few English channels - who doesn’t like to watch a TV in the hotel room before going to bed! Their room service is good - they make the bed and give fresh towels. There are few things that kind of take away one or two stars: - the elevator, though we are happy that they have one, but the one installed is very slow and you have to keep the buttons pressed and if you take the fingers off it stops midway - we asked for top floor since the views are always nicer from a height and they gave us the 3rd floor (top most) however, the hotel must clarify that after 2nd floor there is no elevator to the 3rd floor and to top it up, the stairs to the 3rd floor are so steep they reminded me of exercise called spiderman mountain climbers! - their room service team however do not clean the area around the kettle. We had sugar dropped and used cups kept and they wouldn’t clean on daily basis saying the cups are to be cleaned by the guests - this was shocking! I expect this to be part of cleaning duty irrespective whether i stay one night or four! - TV channels - out of the few that they have most of them wouldn’t air any content and just names of the channel which is quite irritating when you are given only two-thee channels to flip through. Overall i rate it a 3.5 / 5 for the staff at the reception were really polite - all of them! Happy to recommend this!

We spent our winter holiday here and there are plenty of local groceries stores around. The train station is just a breeze walk away so it’s easy to travel around. The Zaanse Schans (windmill attraction), Zaandam (‘Lego’ house) is just few stations away from the hotel. Stay wise it’s comfortable but can get tad abit noisy as the sound insulation between walls are rather weak. All in all we will definitely stay here again!
