Sehr atmosphärisch und gemütlich ryokan. Traditionelle Stilzimmer und majestätische Bergblick sind atemberaubend. Das Essen ist fantastisch, Sie essen in Frieden und auch mit unbegrenzten Mengen an Getränken für 90 Minuten. Es gibt private und gemeinsame (Männer/Frauen) Badezimmer. Die Wassertemperatur ist komfortabel und magisch entfernen Sie Ihre Müdigkeit. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfreich, sie verwendeten den Übersetzer, um mir alles zu erklären. Ich wurde mit dem Shuttlebus bei der Ein- und Auscheckung auf der nahe gelegenen Station (Kawaryo Onsen Station) ausgestattet. 初めて草津温泉に行きました。元々別の宿を取っていましたが、他サイトでの口コミがとても良かったのと、朝食がついていたり少しお得に泊まることができたので、直前でこちらに変更しました。 泊まってみて、次回もぜひこちらに泊まりたいと思いました！以下長くなりますが、参考になりましたら嬉しいです。 ・湯畑までは歩いて7分ほど。 　湯畑から宿は登り坂で、30代前半が歩いた感じでは 　さほどきつくはないです。 　高齢の方は若干息が上がるかと思います ・宿は階段のみ。部屋はトイレのみバスなし。 　貸切風呂が2つあり、空いていれば朝9時まで入浴可能 ・アメニティはシャンプー、リンス、ボディソープ、 　歯ブラシ、カミソリ、ヘアゴム、作務衣、足袋、 　バスタオル、フェイスタオルあり 　（洗顔、メイク落としはなし） ・日帰り温泉に行く予定のある方は、 　宿にあるフェイスタオルを持って行くのがおすすめです 　（持ち帰り忘れないように注意！） ・朝食は軽朝食と思えない量と美味しさでした。 　お腹いっぱいになります ・古民家のような建物ですが、細かく清掃がされていて 　感動しました ・お部屋が少なくこじんまりとしているので、少人数で 　泊まりたい方におすすめかと思います ・その他、本サイトでは口コミが少ないですが 　某mapにはたくさんあるので、そちらを参考に 　宿泊を決めました 何よりスタッフさんの気遣いが素敵で、湯畑に近いのに静かに過ごすことができたのがとても嬉しかったです。

Excellent service. I will give 10 out of 5 if I could. There was a staff who rushed out to us and asked if we were going to stay at the Ryokan. Very helpful for lost travelers overwhelmed by the cold weather. Greeted us warmly when we arrived. Explained the important information to us as best as they could in English, which is perfectly fine. Room was big. Decorated meticulously in the traditional Japanese style. Yukata and Obi provided added on to the immersive experience. Dinner was exquisite. Dishes gave us a taste of what traditional Japanese cuisine was like. The food was sincere (didn’t feel like frozen / canned / ready made food), served and plated meticulously. There were 2 onsens, indoor and outdoor. They were clean and spacious enough. Water (I believe) is from the hot spring nearby and was immensely therapeutic. Ryokan was near the heart of the town and everything was within walking distance. Kindly shuttled us to the bus terminal when we checked out (we didn’t have to wait for fixed timings) and carried our (heavy) luggage. All in all, we enjoyed the one night stay very much and they set a high bar for Japanese hospitality.

Das war mein erstes und einziges Aufenthalt in einem ryokan, so habe ich nicht viel zu vergleichen. Ich habe diese Unterkunft wegen der Katzen und gute Bewertungen auf dem Essen gewählt. Die Katzen waren wirklich süß und ich genossen, mit ihnen zu spielen. Ich habe 2 Katzen von mir, so war es wirklich schön. Das Essen war so schön und lecker - die Pilzsuppe am Abendessen war erstaunlich. Ich genossen es wirklich. Die privaten Badezimmer waren sehr bequem und 24 Stunden offen. Ich dachte, die Einrichtungen waren sauber und sehr angenehm. Die Lage war sehr nahe dem Zentrum und einen schnellen Spaziergang zu allen wichtigen Orten einschließlich der Busbahnhof. Der einzige Kommentar, den ich heute Morgen habe, war, dass jemand rauchte und der Geruch ****** in die 2. Etage Halle kam, so dass vielleicht mehr Aufmerksamkeit sollte, um sicherzustellen, dass der Rauch draußen bleibt. Der Gastgeber war so nett und süß und ich verwendete Google Translate, um Fragen zu stellen. Die Matcha Madeleines sind so schmackhaft ich eine Box mit mir kaufte.

Kanemidori ist ein kurzer Spaziergang vom Bus-Depot. Das Personal an der Rezeption und dem Restaurant im Hotel waren alle sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Futons und Betten im Zimmer sind sehr komfortabel und warm für den Winter. Sie können auch Ihre eigene Kontrolle im Zimmer Heizung. Das Hotel Onsen ist gut mit vollen Einrichtungen gepflegt: Shampoo, Klimaanlage, Körperwasch, Gesichtswasch, Gesichtspack, Haarbehandlung und mehrere Arten von Lotion. Wir reservierten das Zimmer nur, aber hinzugefügt auf einem Abendessen und Frühstück im Hotel. Beide Mahlzeiten waren sorgfältig zubereitet und lecker. Das Haupttourismusgebiet ist in der Spazierweite des Hotels und Sie können im Yukata mit den langen und kurzen kimono Jacken, die das Hotel im Winter liefert, umhergehen.

Room & vibes Stayed in a traditional tatami room and it was so Japanese in the best way – futon, tatami smell, the whole ryokan fantasy. Super cosy, perfect if you’re here to soak, chill, and live your best onsen‑town main‑character life. Buildings & facilities Hotel has three blocks, all connected via the main building, so you’ll always pass through it anyway. Most of the good stuff – hot springs, buffet etc. – is in the Annex building where I stayed, so it was really convenient, just no Yubatake view (that’s only for the main building rooms). Location & mini shopping zone They literally have their own shopping area on the first floor of the main building, right by Yubatake and the hot spring street, so you can roll out of the hotel in yukata and start browsing. Super easy to snack, shop, then hop back into the onsen without feeling like you “went out”. Transport & walking in snow There’s a shuttle bus to the nearest public transport stop, so luggage days are easy. You can walk it in under 10 minutes, but in snow season the road gets icy and crazy slippery, so honestly not recommended unless you trust your shoes (and your balance). Staff & service energy Hotel staff are amazing – super friendly and actually proactive. Besides Japanese and English, some staff speak Mandarin and will just switch to it to help you out, and they’ll even offer to take photos for you before you have the chance to ask, which is perfect for solo or shy travellers.

Obwohl es etwas außerhalb des Stadtzentrums liegt, war es ein ruhiges und komfortables Gasthaus. Das Essen war köstlich, und das Joshu-Rindfleisch-Sukiyaki war ein unvergessliches Geschmackserlebnis. Otaki no Yu, eine der drei heißen Quellen des Pilgerwegs, befindet sich direkt gegenüber, sodass man alle drei bequem besuchen kann. Es war etwas schade, dass das große öffentliche Bad so klein war, aber es war trotzdem sehr entspannend.

The hotel is very popular among the Japanese traveller. Lots of Japanese with very limited foreign traveller. The communication can be a bit difficult at the hotel. The room were cleaned but there is limitation of daily cleaning of the room. They only take trash out and change towels. The policy is to clean the room every 4 days. When the hotel is fully occupied, there is a problem with the scarcity of hot water. We have to wait for hot water to be reproducing 2 out of 3 nights we stayed. The buffet is very crowded and the food are pretty much the same for all 3 nights we stayed for both breakfast and dinner. Our highlights are the crab and the beef station for dinner and the live onigiri station for breakfast.

We have been travelling through asia for two months, and this might have been the best hotel of the entire holiday. The location is spectecular, nezt to a river and between all the volcano plumes, the staff is friendly and are very detailed about how everything works. But the onsens are the best. First of all, they are open 24/7, so you can go there whenever you want. But there are a lot of them, with different temperstures, and its directly next to the river, so the background sound of the flowing river makes it even more relaxing. There is also a seperated onsen in another part of the hotel, which has an inside and outside part. This hotel is a truly amazing hotel.

We drove up to Manza Ski Resort. It wasn’t difficult to find but because of adverse weather conditions, we had to take the longer route. The Princes Hotel were accommodating, had good amenities for a hotel located high up in the mountains. It could do with a slight renovation, as there were leaks coming from the ceiling of the hallways. The breakfast and dinner selection which were provided by the hotel were of decent selection. The highest onsen in Japan according to locals and our Japanese friend. Better check out before the 10 AM time, otherwise a long form of queue awaits you at the reception. A beautiful experience of outdoor snow and mineralised hot Onsen.
