GGastnutzerOnce in a while, we have the rare privilege of staying somewhere that exemplifies all that is good about travel. Nguluko is one such place. As the photos suggest, the hotel is beautifully designed. It’s a zen-like, modern annex, connected to Liusan’s generational home. What a curious privilege it is, to be able to join her family around the home’s traditional Naxi courtyard for a bonfire dance, before retreating upstairs to a room of luxurious comforts, including an actual Dyson hairdryer and electronic toilet. But more important is what the photos cannot capture. In an age of faceless travel, dominated by flavourless hotel chains and mass-produced group tours, it’s rare to be able to feel a connection with folks eager to share a little slice of their life with you. Whether it be a morning stroll around the old village, a sharing session on Naxi culture and Dongba script, or even the aforementioned bonfire dance (replete with lived-in details like the family’s aging hams dangling off the awnings), it harkens back to a more serendipitous style of travel that made me smile. Even meals (all-inclusive!) are a chance to experience local culture. Locally foraged bracken and morels make an appearance, as do different varieties of liangfen, and Lijiang-style baba. There’s also the most moreish chicken hotpot — which I was going to drive out of the way to Luguzhen to try — but which she ended up serving for dinner on the second night. I’m quite obsessive when it comes to food, and yet everything I wanted to try here, except perhaps the rainbow trout and yak, were cooked up and served. Some small things could be improved: many stairways lack railings for the mobility impaired, and the ‘October’ room has an odd bathroom design where the toilet cubicle barely has space to close when one is seated. But such issues pale in comparison to the overall experience. Perhaps the biggest compliment I can give it is that in a world filled with a million wonderful destinations, this is one place I would choose to return to.

RRenee C.I had a truly memorable stay at YUNDU and would strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, tastefully designed, and warm place to stay in Lijiang. Overall, the experience was very positive, with excellent service, cozy design, and many thoughtful touches. There were a few minor areas for improvement, but they did not take away from how much I enjoyed my stay. Breakfast was excellent and honestly better than many meals I had outside. The local auntie who prepares breakfast is incredibly warm and friendly. The mixian is very foreigner-friendly, light, comforting, and not oily or salty like many outside options. I requested extra vegetables and additional boiled eggs, and she was more than happy to accommodate. This care really stood out. YUNDU’s Samoyed dog, Sanjin (三斤), is truly the heart and mascot of the hotel. He is extremely friendly and intelligent. Staff would say things like “去拍照，去跟姐姐玩” and Sanjin would immediately come over. During my afternoon tea, he quietly came over and sat beside me, which was a very heart-warming moment. Upon checkout, I even received Sanjin fridge magnets and a Polaroid photo, which was incredibly thoughtful. First impressions were great. As part of the package, YUNDU arranged an airport pickup from Lijiang Airport using a clean, comfortable EV. The driver was friendly, chatty, and helpful, and the ride to the hotel was smooth and relaxing. I was pleasantly surprised with a free room upgrade. The upgraded room was spacious, perfect for morning stretching, and included a large and very clean bathtub. Bath balls and a sheet mask were provided, which was a lovely winter touch. The bed was very comfortable. The pillows were a bit soft for me, but there were firmer ones available, and layering them worked well. The blanket was thick, soft, and warm, and even during power outages, I stayed comfortable. Facilities were well thought out, including a Laifen hair dryer with strong airflow, a large high-definition TV facing the bed with VIP streaming access, and a large humidifier suitable for overnight use. The bathroom layout was excellent for winter, with separated toilet and shower. The electronic toilet has heating and auto-flush, and the shower area includes warm air from above. The mirror lighting is also great for makeup. There were some minor layout quirks. There is no floor heating, and the slippers were placed far from the entrance. The electric kettle was placed on a cabinet with no power socket nearby. Service was one of YUNDU’s strongest points. Staff helped with luggage, provided room tours, and checked in regularly via WeChat. When I mentioned possible altitude discomfort, they even gifted me an oxygen tank. The boss was friendly and happily helped me take photos with Sanjin. The only small gap was the butler service. I only realised who my butler was on the last night, and one included service, a butler-accompanied visit to Baisha Ancient Town, which never happened — neither I nor the staff remembered it until I reviewed my package later on Trip.com. That said, my butler was extremely efficient in arranging transportation to Lugu Lake, with smooth coordination and reasonable pricing. The entire property is tastefully decorated, cozy, and inviting. The fireplace in the lobby is a highlight and perfect for winter evenings. During my first two nights, there were power outages. While this delayed some of my work, the room stayed warm. The upside was zero light pollution, and I could see a sky full of stars, which became one of my favourite moments of the stay. I strongly recommend YUNDU to anyone looking for a beautiful view, thoughtful design, warm service, and a cozy yet affordable stay in Lijiang. If you love Lijiang, come to Baisha. If you love Baisha, come to YUNDU.

GGastnutzerDer glücklichste Zwischenstopp auf meiner Reise nach Yunnan, ein Ort, an den ich bei Gelegenheit wiederkommen werde. Die Lage des gesamten Hotels ist sehr gut. Es liegt zwischen dem Dorf Yuhu und dem Longnu-See, weit weg von den Geschäftsstraßen. Es dürfte die komfortabelste Lage in der gesamten Gegend sein. Das Einchecken war großartig. Die Dame an der Rezeption hat uns zu einem Zimmer mit Blick auf die Schneeberge verholfen. Wir konnten den Jadedrachen-Schneeberg sehen, während wir auf dem Bett lagen. Der vom Hotel bereitgestellte Hot Pot ist köstlich, mit viel Gemüse und sehr gesund. Obwohl es ein Hot Pot für zwei Personen ist, können wir ihn zu viert nicht aufessen. Außerdem ist das Obst auch lecker! Ein Versand per Post ist leider nicht möglich. Besonders gut gefällt mir das Mädchen, das im Restaurant bedient, sie ist so süß! ! Meine Lieblingsbeschäftigung ist es, auf den Berg zu gehen und Tannenzapfen zu pflücken. Wir haben zwei Tage hintereinander daran teilgenommen, und ein Welpenführer war auch dabei. Wir sahen eine Berglandschaft, die völlig anders war als in unserer Heimatstadt. Als wir hierherkamen, war gerade keine Pilzsaison und wir bereuten, keine Pilze gesammelt zu haben. Schließlich sind alle Servicemitarbeiter im Stone House super herzlich! Ich freue mich darauf, beim nächsten Mal wiederzukommen!

AaLexxasI genuinely loved my stay at Yulong Mujianshan Homestay, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable accommodations of my Yunnan trip. What really stood out from the start was the level of service. The team goes above and beyond in the smallest details — from helping with transport arrangements to proactively checking in on your plans. Communication is seamless if you add them on WeChat, which makes coordinating things like pick-ups, recommendations, or even last-minute requests incredibly convenient. Location-wise, it’s important to note that the homestay is not in Lijiang Old Town, but instead located in Baisha Ancient Town — and honestly, that’s part of its charm. The area is much quieter, more laid-back, and far less commercialised. It’s perfect if you’re looking to slow down and enjoy a more peaceful side of Lijiang, while still being just a short walk from Baisha Old Town for a relaxed stroll or casual exploration. One of the highlights of the stay is definitely the viewing deck. On clear days, you’ll get stunning views of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, and if you’re lucky, even catch the famous “golden mountain” sunrise. It’s the kind of view that makes you want to slow down and just take it all in. The homestay also makes it easy to explore beyond the immediate area. They can recommend e-bike rentals, which is honestly one of the best ways to explore the outskirts of Baisha at your own pace, especially given how scenic and less crowded the surroundings are. Food-wise, the experience was consistently enjoyable. Breakfast is simple but well done, and it’s a nice way to start the day before heading out. Another big plus is their transport support. They can help arrange pick-up and drop-off services, which is extremely useful given the more remote location. Just make sure to communicate your requirements in advance, such as the number of passengers or luggage size, as they are very accommodating when informed early. Overall, this stay strikes a really nice balance between comfort, scenery, and personalised service. The rooms are clean and thoughtfully designed, the environment is peaceful, and the hospitality genuinely makes you feel taken care of. It’s the kind of place that’s not just a base for your trip, but part of the experience itself. Would definitely come back again.

GGastnutzerBeautiful place to stay! It’s located in Yuhu Village, personally I feel this village is the most prettiest village in Lijiang. It’s also very exclusive because you need to be confirmed to be able to enter the village. It’s perfect for those who like peaceful village. There are some shops and restaurants, not too many, they are still building them, but the good thing is it is clean and not too crowded. Pauline itself is magnificent! From the room to the front desk. Room is clean, spacious, and modern! Not to mention the mountain view from the balcony. The front desk people are super helpful. They help with luggages, laundry and all my needs! I would definetely come back to stay here when I’m in Lijiang. Lastly, don’t worry, easy to grab Didi to take you anywhere. Also, the rooftop coffee shop is very scenic and close!

CChoo1234.5 stars. Almost perfect . I wish I could give it 5 stars but have some disappointments and rough around the edges. A unique resort. The places is beautiful and harmony with nature. We stayed 5 days, 4 nights and didn't feel the need to leave the resort at all. Picturesque scenery. You come here to relax, wall and enjoy the fresh air, and take a million photos. Tea break at their stunning cliff side cafe is inclusive. Also singing and drinking after dinner was a warm experience. Food was delicious, although more variety would be appreciated for long stay guests. The pet dogs and cats deserve their own 5 stars! Super friendly and tame - our kids loved playing with them. The staff treated and trained the animals really well. Horses for riding (extra fee) was a great experience. Next time will take lessons. Service was warm and sincere. Always with a smile. The staff was genuine, friendly, polite, helpful. I cannot say enough good things about them. They really tried to give their best to meet our needs. I felt really at home and we were treated very well. The negatives. Things are inconsistent. We had a beautiful skylight to see stars but it was so dirty that we can hardly see through. Cleaning apparently was difficult and couldn't be done, so what's the use ? Our safe was locked by the previous guest and they did not have the ability to reset and open. So we couldn't use it. Our rooms was not cleaned on day 3 and 4. On day 4. they just replenished items. Didn't clean or throw away rubbish. Toilets at the cliffside cafe is terrible state, nobody wash? One dinner, waited for our vegetables for 30 mins. When we asked ”why is it taking long?”, they say ”sorry out of stock'. So had to cancel. Coffee machine had problems , milk tube or valve clogged? could not make milk drinks (e.g cappuccino, latte) during last 2 days. Archery had many broken arrows , less than half can be used. They also offered cup noodles for free! Ask us if we wanted. Very nice gesture, but then they say ”sorry no more cup noodles”. Did not replenish during our trip. Overall an excellent experience, would come again. Could be perfect, but given the price , I would not expect to encounter these negatives mentioned.

GGastnutzerDie Umgebung dieses Resorts ist absolut schönit fühlt sich wie Sie in ein verstecktes Paradies gestiegen. Es regnete, als wir gerade angekommen waren, und wir sahen sogar einen Regenbogen. Das Eigentum hat einen Bauernhof und bewahrt viele kleine Tiere, die unsere Kinder absolut geliebt habensie wollten nicht einmal ausgehen. Das Innenraum ist ebenso beeindruckend: die Einrichtungen sind neu, sehr sauber und gut gepflegt mit schneller Haushaltung. Jedes kleine Komfort-Objekt, das Sie benötigen könnte, wird bereitgestellt. Der Besitzer bietet viele bedenkliche Dienstleistungen, wie die Bereitstellung von Autofahrten nach und aus der nahe gelegenen Baisha Ancient Town jederzeit. Es war wirklich wunderbarer Ort zu bleiben. Meine Kinder haben gerade nach unserem Verlassen den Ort vermisst.

GGastnutzerDie glücklichste Entscheidung für die Reise in Lijiang war, dass die ganze Reise in den Snow-Populationen von Besha-Shan-Snow-Population geblieben war, und das ganze Reisegefühl und die Entspannung wurden von diesem kleinen Haus voll gefüllt. Ich bin müde von der Belastung der Großen und Antikenstadt und wähle eine ruhigere Stadt Pesha. Es hat sich gezeigt, dass die Wahlen unverhältnismäßig richtig sind. Die Menschen, ob sie Umweltqualität, Hardware-Konfiguration, Gesundheitsdetails oder humanitäre Dienstleistungen haben, sind weit über dem gleichen Preis, Es ist, dass ich in den letzten Jahren die begeisterte und heilvollste Wohnung erlebt habe. Von der Ankunft bis zum Abgang des Ladens ist die gesamte Reise komfortabel und ohne Punkt. Die Gesamterfahrung ist perfekt und ist sehr geeignet, Freunde zu sein, die ruhig und langsam auf Lijiang zu gehen. Besonders wichtig ist es, unseren Direktor Liu Xiao Zhen zu danken. Die Gästezimmer sind sehr detailliert gepflegt, die Betten sind weich und schlank, sauber und ohne Geschmack, die Boden, die Wandwinkel, das Fenster, die Badewanne sind alle Details unverfärbt. Das Badezimmer ist trocken und sauber, kein Wasser ist gereicher, der Gras ist ein Gastwechsel, sauber und trocken, die allgemeine Wohnumgebung ist sauber und ruhig und macht die Menschen sehr trostlos zu leben. Die Menschen sind nicht nur eine komfortable Wohnung, die besondere Erfahrung ist noch überrascht. HHenny P AdiHonestly, I rarely post reviews—but this time I really felt like I had to, because this hotel was the highlight of my family trip to Yunnan. From the moment we entered the hotel gate, we were already amazed. The place is even more beautiful in real life than in the photos. The staff member who communicated with us via WeChat was incredibly helpful—from arranging our transfer from the station to the hotel, to accommodating my dietary restrictions as a Muslim. They kindly prepared a special breakfast for us: rice noodles with egg, along with sweet potatoes, corn, and boiled eggs. What made it even more special was that everything was cooked by a very warm grandmother. Despite the language barrier, we could truly feel the warmth and love in her cooking. The cabin we booked was absolutely perfect. It had a spacious yard, a hot tub, and a terrace with a table and chairs—great for dining or simply spending time together with family. Stepping inside the cabin was even more impressive: a large bed, lots of natural light, and equipped with smart home devices. One important detail for us was the bathroom—it had a bidet and a fully smart toilet with remote control. Since the temperature in Lijiang varies greatly between day and night, we were very grateful that the cabin had both floor heating and room heating. The bedroom also featured a large projector, and above it, a sunroof that can be opened—perfect for stargazing at night. It truly exceeded all our expectations. The hotel area is also next to a very aesthetic café with a stunning view called Yuntian Cafe. For those traveling with family, this place is perfect—the area is spacious and great for kids to explore nature. If you want to go out for meals, Baisha Ancient Town is just a few kilometers away. What I will remember the most is the kindness of the staff. Everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly, always doing their best to accommodate every request. Please never change—your hospitality feels just like being with family. Next time we visit Lijiang, we will definitely stay here again without hesitation.

CChitrlada HarnWhen my mother agreed to visit Lijiang with me, I browsed many hotels in Trip.com and sorted out this hotel out of many hotels with good reviews without knowing beforehanded that this will fulfill my satisfaction to the most. Before we got there, I contacted the hotel if it is comfortable for my mom to stay there because she is 88 years old and need to use wheelchair. After that they made up a wechat group to facilitate us. The staff who took care of us , xiao juan , helped us with the trip plan, escorted us to the ancient town of Dayan and Shuhe ,lead us to understand the town of Baisha and helped us with everything we need. She shows her emphaty to people with everthing she does.All the staffs there are young , polite and friendly. The location of the hotel is very suitable for exploring the ancient town of Baisha. The view of the snow mountain can be seen from the inner garden and more clearly from the third floor of the hotel.The room is comfortable with good quality bedsheet , blanket , towels and the heating floor. The breakfast is adequate with a set of chinese small dishes together with a choice of boiled rice or noodles. They provide free coffee all day with daily afternoon tea set and late night sweet soup and plum wine. I feel like I have nothing to ask more and wish to express my gratitude to all the staffs here. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to all who need to receive impressive service from these lovely staffs.
