Casa Chitic - Hotel & Restaurant- STR Nicolae Balcescu 13

Great location and even greater stuff... They save for us parking all day!!

Our stay at this hotel exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, the level of service and hospitality was exceptional. We were immediately offered a convenient parking spot, which was a great start. The room was absolutely wonderful: clean, cozy, and with a pleasant decor. Everything needed for a comfortable stay was thoughtfully provided. The attention to detail made it feel like a home away from home. Breakfast was a particular highlight. There was a wide variety of fresh and delicious options, ensuring no one left hungry. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone who values quality, comfort, and attention to detail. We will definitely be returning!

I really wanted to like Casa Chitic, the photos looked great and it seemed very good value for money. The location is ideal - bars and restaurants are right around the corner but it isn't a noisy location. The rooms are big enough and nicely decorated and back onto a courtyard where you can sit outside. The staff are very friendly and helpful. However, unfortunately there were a couple of issues. First, the reception is not 24 hours. We arrived at 6:45pm and had to check ourselves in. This was super easy but there is no one on hand if you have problems. In the room there was a single pillow and one towel between two people. I messaged immediately but this wasn't rectified until the next day (and even then we only had two thin pillows provided). On another occasion, we ran out of loo roll in the evening and had to go into town to buy our own. The hotel could do with being a bit more generous with these essential provisions. The aircon did not work at all during our stay. It would come on but didn't blow cold air and when I mentioned it the staff did not seem at all surprised. We were allowed to move rooms but the issue was exactly the same so I actually think it's just an ineffective system. The room was absolutely sweltering and it was difficult to sleep. If these details could be ironed out it would be a really lovely hotel.

We had a very nice 3 night stay at this hotel. The room was dare but clean and modern, and the young man at the front desk was very kind and helpful. Unfortunately, the breakfast was not good-the hot food was cold and it was good for coffee and a croissant, but that's about it. Good location.

We had a lovely room with a mountain view. The location is very adventegous as it is within a 2-3 minute walk from the Black Church. They have a decent breakfast, especially if you need to leave early for day trips, having breakfast ready by 7am is helpful. The staff is very polite and nice.

Lovely hotel. Very friendly helpful staff - there isn't a lift but the reception staff carried our bags/cases up to the 2nd floor for us! We had rooms with a view of Mount Tampa and the Brasov sign - fantastic. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was included and was plentiful, with good coffee. Great location, less than a five minute walk to Piata Sfatului. Recommend.

It was an amazing hotel. We had a very good room, very spacious. All the staff were very professional and approachable. We had all we need. We advice anyone who wants to travel in Brasov to book a room with them. Ths breakfast was delicious. Thank you, Casa Chitic!

The code providing access to the building was not provided in advance, but I received a friendly greeting. The standard room was spare but clean and functional. The hotel has two buildings a block apart. They advertise a terrace, bar, and restaurant -- all at the *other* building which I found ac bout by accident on the second night of my stay. Breakfast is only OK. I sat on a rickety wooden chair, and it broke. They tried to charge me 30 Euro. The very nice desk attendant was apologetic, said he was only following management's orders. I paid to avoid embarrassing the desk attendant. Four stars for the front of house staff, zero for chair and management, three for the property itself, don't stay here.

Beautiful hotel in a great location in the old town. The hotel is very pretty, well looked after, and very clean. The 2 guys that worked at reception were fantastic, very friendly, helpful, and chatty. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Brasov. Not much choice at breakfast, but everything else was perfect.
