An elegant, spacious and comfortable hotel. I appreciate the generously large rooms with balconies. My family and I stayed in a big room with two large beds, a beautiful bathroom with a tub and an even bigger balcony. The breakfast is rich and varied, and the restaurant is quite traditional, but has a plethora of dishes to choose from. The spa is very nice as well, with multiple pools, saunas and massage experiences. It is a bit pricey, but, nevertheless, it offers a leisurely, pleasant experience. I recommend this for folks who look for a retreating holiday.

This hotel is quite old but it is very surprising how the current management team manages to keep it up in such a good shape. The rooms are very big and the furniture is up to decent standards. The most impressive part of the hotel is the spa and especially the hot tub which is outside the hotel and in the open air. One can really spend quality time there, relax and unwind. A pool and various jacuzzis are avialable also inside the spa. The breakfast is decent and also the restaurant, which is offering on the menu traditional Romanian dishes and a decent assortment of wines. For what is has to offer, the hotel is quite expensive and the rule that applies here is that if the demand is high, then also the prices are high. Usually the hotel is fully booked during wintertime and aspecially if there is enough snow on the ski slopes. In the off-season the hotel is mostly empty BUT the prices are still high.

Excellent hotel. Many facilities and good cleanliness, the rooms were big and the staff friendly. Only the food at the restaurant was not great. Its a good hotel for families with children. The spa and the swimming pool was out of this world.

First, remember you are in Eastern Europe not Paris, so keep this context during your whole visit to Poinana Braşov and the hotel. The decor feels like late 18th century which we loved. Chandeliers, red carpet, enormous rooms/lounges, and bathtub. View of ski resort and lake is stunning, and location is five minute walk to the tram or gondola. Also, can rent all ski equipment at the hotel for 15 USD in lei. Breakfast was great, and again very relaxed for families with kids. The restaurant has many of choices of traditional Romanian meat dishes, the decor and wild boar on the wall again adds to a cultural delight. There is no hotel transfers to Braşov, but is easy to use Uber or Bolt. Even in snow storms, an Uber arrived at ski resort from Braşov in 20minutes, and only cost 10usd for ride to old town for dinner. This hotel and resort is a cultural delight, don’t miss, and remember you are not in Paris or the Swiss alps for a reason:) enjoy
