Super hôtel, très bien placé. Accueil formidable.

Great location, amazing staff, great value, charming and quirky hotel. My only downside was since its a converted old building there is no sound proofing, which might be problematic for light sleepers if there are other loud guests, but that is part of what gave it its charm.

Booking the family room for me and my husband and 2 adult children wasn’t a great idea. We needed a hotel because we were going to arrive in the middle of the night. This one seemed like a good idea. The location is both good- close to museums in the older area of Bogota. But the restaurants weren’t open in the evening. Might have had something to do with all of the soldiers— not the safest part of the city. Although we did feel safe and we could walk to a bike rental and take part in Cyclovia. It’s older and quirky with a nice spot on the roof where you can order drinks and food which was really nice. The walls between the rooms and floors were super thin so you could basically hear everything. Didn’t make for great sleeping.

Let’s start with the good. The hotel is very charming, nice decor and very clean. The staff is friendly and the breakfast nice. So the reality: this is really more of an upscale hostel than “hotel”. Check in went well, however there were many things that could be improved if disclosed at check-in: you have to ask for key to in room safe (which is tiny), you have to ask for the hot water to be turned on for your shower, there is a really lovely upper outdoor terrace which no one advised us of so we only figured it out the night before we left. Wi-Fi was not provided on check-in, we had to come back and ask. All these things are really not that big of a deal but it would’ve made a lot of trips back to the front desk unnecessary. The most aggravating part of our experience was the noise. You hear absolutely everything including the doorbell to the hotel, which ruminates throughout even late at night, and very early in the morning. We were woken up at 4:30 AM twice due to chattering. We asked for two extra pillows, and they were not able to provide that for us until our last night. There were no cups in the rooms. Also, the room we had was number nine on the second floor, which was adequate, however there are no windows just a stained glass window which light would be men making it difficult to sleep. We were given a remote control for the television, which even with a battery change and never ended up working. Lastly, the hotel is on one of the steepest hills in the area. It is a good location just be prepared for a steep climb to the hotel.

The hotel is very clean and well-taken care of. The staff was helpful and accomodating. Sound does travel fairly easily in the hotel so just beware of you have an early flight that you would like to get a good night sleep for. Would stay there again

This is a beautiful hotel and the staff are very attentive. The area is perfect for seeing the historic area of the city. Everyone recommended not going out at night in the neighborhood and I took their advice. However I never felt unsafe.

Great experience, beautiful, location is minutes walk to government buildings and museums.

Very nice hotel with a lot of art. Awesome, very interesting and close to most things so no cabs needed. Personnel is very polite an helpful. We were even allowed to leave or backpacks after the checkout until we left with the nightbus. Would go there again!
