We stayed in this property on 5th & 6th October 2023. Very chic place and it was so quite during our stay, not many guest around, so it felt like we have the entire hotel to us. I heard that it becomes much more busy summer holiday. However, it is around 90 rooms, so you will still have an amazing stay without feeling over crowded. The food 5/5, the facilities 5/5, the staff 5/5, the room 5/5 and overall stay was top notch. Now there is something I was not impressed with and I would like the lovely lady General Manager to perhaps try to do something about it: the staff is amazing, friendly and they go above and beyond their way to help you and assist you with any requests. Naturally, you feel like rewarding them with a tip or gratuity. Having said that, nowdays many people don’t use cash in hand but pay everything with a card instead. In this instance we did have cash that we forgot to exchange at the airport, we tried to do this in reception and we were told that they were not allowed to do that. Then we asked if we could have a cash advance from our room account with the card left in the system as guaranteed, still same answer that they were not allowed. Finally, we also tried when paying for drinks or signing any bill for whatever we were consuming to include in that bill a gratuity for the staff assisting us at that specific moment (this is a common practice in any other hotels in the world to do and it is even encourage to write the amount of tip on each bill) so you don’t need to carry cash but still happy to reward good service, again we were told that they are not allowed? The staff works really hard and we are happy to reward them when there is great service. However we could not found any possible way or alternative option to do it even though we tried to exchange money for their local currency. We will definitely come back again to this property and hopefully there are more flexibility in this matter in the future.
