Got a room reservation via *******. When we arrived at the hotel, the fist indication that this was a possible mistake was the sign noted under new management. Next was the various windows and their coverings that could be seen from the parking lot as either damaged, or non-existing. The "pool" was filled in with dirt, and the landscaping dead or dying. We entered the lobby and went to the desk noting we had two rooms for two couples reserved. We provided our names and my room reservation could not be found. I showed my confirmation number from *******, and it still was not in their system. We then found out that they had no rooms available at all, but the maintenance person said he knew some were available. They could not tell from the system as per the other lady at the front desk they were just giving out rooms as people came in so no rooms. The maintenance person was now going to go room to room to check what rooms were occupied. Now we were sure this was a mistake and noted we should look elsewhere. As this was happening an older couple came through the lobby and let everyone know that their room they were assigned already had someone in it! They were given the key/card but when the door opened they ran into people in the room already. We then stated that no need to knock on doors to find out if any rooms were empty as we would look elsewhere for accommodations. This truly was a mess, and we felt bad for the receptionist at the front desk.
