Das Zimmer ist sauber und hat einen Balkon. Es ist zufällig eine Anlegestelle für Kreuzfahrtschiffe. Das Hotel liegt ganz in der Nähe des Lagunenpools und des Einschiffungspunkts des Great Barrier Reef, was sehr praktisch ist. Es ist zufällig Regenzeit und das Meerwasser ist relativ gelb. Das Hotel ist sehr rücksichtsvoll und stellt Einwegregenmäntel bereit, was großartig ist. Es ist auch praktisch, sich einen Regenschirm auszuleihen

Zunächst einmal ist es kleiner als das Riley. Normalerweise steigen die Preise in der Reihenfolge Bailey < Flynn < Riley, aber gestern kosteten die Zimmer im Riley und Flynn gleich viel. Ich hätte ins Riley gehen sollen. Es ist ein etwas ungewöhnliches Hotel mit einem jugendlichen Flair. Wenn möglich, fragen Sie nach einem Zimmer im Esplanade Tower. Ich war im Abbott Tower, aber die Aussicht ging auf das Nachbarhotel. Haha. Das Zimmer war unglaublich feucht, und wenn man die Klimaanlage auch nur kurz ausschaltete, roch es komisch. Bis nach 3 Uhr morgens war draußen laute Musik zu hören (obwohl ich im 4. Stock war). Ich war dort, um mich für einen Kurzurlaub zu entspannen, aber ich habe nicht vor, jemals wiederzukommen!

We stayed for four nights over the Easter holiday in a panorama sea view room in the new tower. First of all, the location is excellent. The pool area has a sandy beach, and compared to the Hilton next door, the water was much clearer and very pleasant. The view is absolutely beautiful. However, when the tide goes out, it turns into what feels like a “panoramic mudflat view,” so I would recommend carefully considering the timing of your stay. On the other hand, there were several issues with the room. There is no balcony, and the windows cannot be opened. There were mosquitoes in the room, and I was bitten multiple times, which caused itching and swelling. The insect repellent device in the hallway was empty, which made me question the quality of housekeeping management. When I spoke to a female staff member at reception, I was told that only body spray repellent was available, and no further assistance was offered, so I had to purchase and install my own insect repellent. In addition, there was a sewage-like smell coming from the bathroom. The mirror and sink were not properly cleaned and appeared dirty. The room and hallway also had a moldy smell, and due to the humidity, the bed linens felt damp. The duvet was thin and not very comfortable. As I am sensitive to smells, these issues made me feel nauseous and unwell. Later, my husband spoke to a male staff member at reception. Although the hotel was fully booked and we were unable to change rooms, he responded with sincerity, apologized thoroughly, and instructed housekeeping to carry out a deep cleaning. When we returned from going out, the bathroom had been properly cleaned and the sewage smell was gone. The moldy smell in the room did not completely disappear, but it had been masked with deodorizer, and we were able to sleep well that night. However, the same issues returned the following day. As it was the Easter holiday and other hotels were fully booked, we had no choice but to stay until the end of our reservation. Afterward, I checked reviews and found many similar complaints about the moldy smell, which made me regret not researching more thoroughly beforehand. I had assumed that as a five-star hotel, it would be fine. Overall, the reception staff were kind, friendly, and professional. In particular, the male staff member who assisted us was excellent. On the other hand, I felt that the quality of housekeeping needs improvement. In my opinion, these issues are largely due to a design flaw—specifically, the building was designed with aesthetics prioritized over functionality by the construction company and architect, resulting in rooms where windows cannot be opened despite the humid tropical climate. The older tower, which has balconies and windows that can be opened, may not have the same problems. I would not recommend this hotel to those who are sensitive to smells, but for those who are not, it can still be a wonderful place to stay given its location and facilities.

This might be the place for you if you're between 18 and 25, like to party, don't mine hearing a disco drum beat until 2 am. Otherwise, I recommend some place else. It's at a great location,within walking distance of the mall, and many restaurants.

Ein komfortables, ruhiges Apartment. Eine gut ausgestattete Küchenzeile und ein schöner Balkon. Der Service des Rezeptionspersonals war hervorragend und hat ein paar kleinere Probleme gelöst. Die Lage ist günstig gelegen, um die Esplanade, Züge und Einkaufszentren zu erreichen.

I expected much better from a hotel carrying the Ramada name. We arrived just after midnight, exactly as we had advised the hotel in advance. To our surprise, the entrance gates were locked. There was a phone number on the gate to call for assistance, but despite repeated calls, nobody answered. We could see reception from outside, and could clearly hear the phone ringing, but there was no one there to help. After standing on the roadside for around 15 minutes with two tired children in the middle of the night, I ended up climbing over the locked fence just to unlock the gate from the inside so my family could enter. Once inside, we rang the reception bell several times before anyone appeared. Around 20 minutes later, the receptionist (a gentleman with long hair) eventually arrived. Rather than apologising for leaving a family locked outside at midnight, he simply said he had been ”dealing with something”, that there were ”100 guests and just him”, and told us, ”you need patience.” Those are his exact words. I appreciate that staff can be busy, but this was a complete failure of customer service. An apology would have gone a long way. Instead, we were met with rudeness and a dismissive attitude. It was one of the worst customer service experiences I have encountered. The hotel itself was also disappointing. The photos on the website appear to be either very old or heavily enhanced. The grounds look nothing like the promotional images—there are no palm trees as shown, and the swimming pool sits right beside the car park, giving it a very different feel from what is advertised. The one major positive is the location. It's within easy walking distance of the city centre, which was extremely convenient. Unfortunately, because of the poor customer service on arrival and the misleading impression created by the website photos, I would not choose to stay here again

The unit is adequate for my family of six for a 3-night stay. Basic necessities are generally met, and the overall stay was acceptable. However, there were several maintenance and usability issues that affected comfort. Some air-conditioning remotes were faulty or missing batteries, requiring us to swap between rooms to find working ones. The telephone/RJ45 connection head was also broken and left dangling, with wiring not properly connected, which gave a poor impression of upkeep. In terms of sleeping comfort, the beds are quite soft and the pillows offer very little support. The positioning of the electrical wall outlets behind the bed also made it inconvenient, as we had to shift the bed forward to access the sockets. For kitchen use, it would be helpful to provide basic dishwashing supplies such as a small bottle of dishwashing liquid and a sponge, especially when only a few items are used in the dishwasher. On a positive note, the bathroom facilities are in good condition. Water pressure is strong and hot water is consistently available, which made showers comfortable. Overall, the stay was acceptable, but there is clear room for improvement in maintenance and basic guest amenities.

Gemischte Erfahrungen – Tolle Lage, schlechtes Internet & Frühstück Das Hotel liegt in einer großartigen Lage, und das Zimmer selbst war sauber, geräumig und komfortabel. Einrichtungen wie Parkplatz und Aufzüge waren gut gepflegt und entsprachen unseren Erwartungen. Als Geschäftsreisende waren wir jedoch von der Internetverbindung sehr enttäuscht. Das Hotel scheint auf ein Hotspot-System angewiesen zu sein, das extrem unzuverlässig war – langsame Geschwindigkeiten und ständige Verbindungsabbrüche das ganze Wochenende über. Streaming-Dienste wie Netflix waren unbrauchbar, und selbst einfaches Surfen war frustrierend. Zu allem Übel waren die Batterien der Fernbedienung fast leer und funktionierten nur sporadisch. Auch das Frühstück und die Ruhezeiten waren enttäuschend. Nach dem frühen Aufstehen jeden Tag hatten wir uns auf etwas Ruhe am Nachmittag gefreut, die wir angesichts der anderen Probleme aber kaum genießen konnten. Die Frühstücksregelung am Wochenende wirkte irreführend. Anstatt eines Frühstücks im Hotel erhielten wir einen Gutschein im Wert von 20 US-Dollar pro Person für ein nahegelegenes Café. Das Café war zwar nett, öffnete aber am Wochenende erst um 7:30 Uhr – nicht ideal, wenn man um 6:30 oder 7:00 Uhr mit der Arbeit beginnt. Und ehrlich gesagt, bekommt man in den meisten Cafés heutzutage für 20 Dollar nicht viel, daher wirkte das Angebot eher wie eine Notlösung als ein richtiges Frühstücksangebot. Positiv hervorzuheben ist Clara an der Rezeption am Samstag. Sie war professionell und freundlich und bemühte sich nach Kräften zu helfen, konnte aber leider nicht viel tun. Es schien, als sei ihr Vorgesetzter anwesend gewesen, habe sich aber nicht eingemischt, was angesichts der Situation enttäuschend war.

Wir hatten hier im Allgemeinen einen guten Aufenthalt, aber wir fanden die Haushaltungspolitik sehr seltsam. Es gibt keine Haushaltung, es sei denn, Sie zahlen dafür (oder Aufenthalt für 8 Tage). Wir konnten unsere Handtücher persönlich am Vordertisch ändern, aber wir wurden gebeten, unsere eigene Müll rauszuholen und hatten nach einem langen Aufenthalt keine Möglichkeit, zu leeren. Allerdings war das Zimmer ausreichend und wir genossen sehr die Lage, die nicht besser gewesen wäre.

Our room was clean and there were amenities provided such as soap, shower gel/shampoo, a hairdryer and a fridge. A good place to stay but it is a bit of a walk to the city centre.
