Das Klima in Sanya fühlt sich überall feucht an. Das Hotel hat eine großartige Lage. Sie können in weniger als 5 Minuten zum Pier laufen, um an Bord des Schiffes zu gehen. Es ist die beste Lage in der Nähe. Der Parkplatz vor dem Hotel kostet maximal 6 $, was viel besser ist als der Hotelparkplatz. Das Wichtigste ist, dass das Frühstück nur 10 $ kostet. Das hängt vielleicht mit dem Zimmer zusammen, das ich gebucht habe, oder mit meiner Mitgliedschaft. Kurz gesagt, dieses Frühstück ist das billigste. Andere Frühstücke kosten alle 40 $.

Vorteile: Gute Lage, direkt neben einem Nachtmarkt, sehr praktisch. Nachteile: Die Sauberkeit lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig; beim Betreten des Zimmers roch es muffig, was in tropischen Regionen aber noch akzeptabel ist. Unerträglich war jedoch, dass unsere Kissenbezüge schmutzig waren, was für ein Hotel dieser Kategorie absolut inakzeptabel ist. Ich habe das sofort nach dem Betreten des Zimmers überprüft, daher kann man davon ausgehen, dass die Bettwäsche nicht oft gewaschen wurde. Außerdem war das Zimmer sehr klein. Aber insgesamt gab es nicht viele Alternativen. Es ist ein ordentliches Hotel in Cairns, und die Einrichtung ist moderner als in anderen Hotels. Es ist in Ordnung. Reisenden aus China nach Australien würde es den Aufenthalt etwas angenehmer machen, wenn sie ihre eigenen Einweg-Kissenbezüge und Bettbezüge mitbringen würden.

We stayed for four nights over the Easter holiday in a panorama sea view room in the new tower. First of all, the location is excellent. The pool area has a sandy beach, and compared to the Hilton next door, the water was much clearer and very pleasant. The view is absolutely beautiful. However, when the tide goes out, it turns into what feels like a “panoramic mudflat view,” so I would recommend carefully considering the timing of your stay. On the other hand, there were several issues with the room. There is no balcony, and the windows cannot be opened. There were mosquitoes in the room, and I was bitten multiple times, which caused itching and swelling. The insect repellent device in the hallway was empty, which made me question the quality of housekeeping management. When I spoke to a female staff member at reception, I was told that only body spray repellent was available, and no further assistance was offered, so I had to purchase and install my own insect repellent. In addition, there was a sewage-like smell coming from the bathroom. The mirror and sink were not properly cleaned and appeared dirty. The room and hallway also had a moldy smell, and due to the humidity, the bed linens felt damp. The duvet was thin and not very comfortable. As I am sensitive to smells, these issues made me feel nauseous and unwell. Later, my husband spoke to a male staff member at reception. Although the hotel was fully booked and we were unable to change rooms, he responded with sincerity, apologized thoroughly, and instructed housekeeping to carry out a deep cleaning. When we returned from going out, the bathroom had been properly cleaned and the sewage smell was gone. The moldy smell in the room did not completely disappear, but it had been masked with deodorizer, and we were able to sleep well that night. However, the same issues returned the following day. As it was the Easter holiday and other hotels were fully booked, we had no choice but to stay until the end of our reservation. Afterward, I checked reviews and found many similar complaints about the moldy smell, which made me regret not researching more thoroughly beforehand. I had assumed that as a five-star hotel, it would be fine. Overall, the reception staff were kind, friendly, and professional. In particular, the male staff member who assisted us was excellent. On the other hand, I felt that the quality of housekeeping needs improvement. In my opinion, these issues are largely due to a design flaw—specifically, the building was designed with aesthetics prioritized over functionality by the construction company and architect, resulting in rooms where windows cannot be opened despite the humid tropical climate. The older tower, which has balconies and windows that can be opened, may not have the same problems. I would not recommend this hotel to those who are sensitive to smells, but for those who are not, it can still be a wonderful place to stay given its location and facilities.

Das Hostel hat insgesamt 4 von 5 Sternen verdient. Die Zimmer waren sauber und ordentlich, das Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit. Besonders gut gefallen haben mir die zentrale Lage und die angenehme Atmosphäre. Auch die Gemeinschaftsbereiche waren modern und gemütlich gestaltet. Kleine Abzüge gibt es allerdings für die Lautstärke in der Nacht und die teilweise etwas kleinen Badezimmer. Insgesamt war der Aufenthalt dennoch sehr angenehm und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis gut.

Die Selbstversorger-Apartments bieten einen Vorrat an Shampoo zum Einmalgebrauch, zusätzliche Nutzung ist jedoch erforderlich. Die Ein-Zimmer-Apartments verfügen über Wäscherei und chemische Reinigung, Waschmittel müssen Sie jedoch selbst kaufen; das Hotel stellt es gegen Gebühr zur Verfügung. Induktionsherd und Mikrowelle machen das Kochen sehr bequem. Das Hotel verfügt außerdem über einen Swimmingpool und einen Whirlpool, ideal für diese Jahreszeit. Parkmöglichkeiten sind vorhanden, und die Nähe zu einem großen Supermarkt macht das Einkaufen zum Kinderspiel. Empfohlen für Selbstfahrer oder Reisende, die länger bleiben und selbst kochen müssen.

The unit is adequate for my family of six for a 3-night stay. Basic necessities are generally met, and the overall stay was acceptable. However, there were several maintenance and usability issues that affected comfort. Some air-conditioning remotes were faulty or missing batteries, requiring us to swap between rooms to find working ones. The telephone/RJ45 connection head was also broken and left dangling, with wiring not properly connected, which gave a poor impression of upkeep. In terms of sleeping comfort, the beds are quite soft and the pillows offer very little support. The positioning of the electrical wall outlets behind the bed also made it inconvenient, as we had to shift the bed forward to access the sockets. For kitchen use, it would be helpful to provide basic dishwashing supplies such as a small bottle of dishwashing liquid and a sponge, especially when only a few items are used in the dishwasher. On a positive note, the bathroom facilities are in good condition. Water pressure is strong and hot water is consistently available, which made showers comfortable. Overall, the stay was acceptable, but there is clear room for improvement in maintenance and basic guest amenities.

I expected much better from a hotel carrying the Ramada name. We arrived just after midnight, exactly as we had advised the hotel in advance. To our surprise, the entrance gates were locked. There was a phone number on the gate to call for assistance, but despite repeated calls, nobody answered. We could see reception from outside, and could clearly hear the phone ringing, but there was no one there to help. After standing on the roadside for around 15 minutes with two tired children in the middle of the night, I ended up climbing over the locked fence just to unlock the gate from the inside so my family could enter. Once inside, we rang the reception bell several times before anyone appeared. Around 20 minutes later, the receptionist (a gentleman with long hair) eventually arrived. Rather than apologising for leaving a family locked outside at midnight, he simply said he had been ”dealing with something”, that there were ”100 guests and just him”, and told us, ”you need patience.” Those are his exact words. I appreciate that staff can be busy, but this was a complete failure of customer service. An apology would have gone a long way. Instead, we were met with rudeness and a dismissive attitude. It was one of the worst customer service experiences I have encountered. The hotel itself was also disappointing. The photos on the website appear to be either very old or heavily enhanced. The grounds look nothing like the promotional images—there are no palm trees as shown, and the swimming pool sits right beside the car park, giving it a very different feel from what is advertised. The one major positive is the location. It's within easy walking distance of the city centre, which was extremely convenient. Unfortunately, because of the poor customer service on arrival and the misleading impression created by the website photos, I would not choose to stay here again

Es war Ende November, der Beginn der Regenzeit, und ich kam um 4 Uhr morgens mitten in strömendem Regen an. Ich kam gegen 6 Uhr morgens im Hotel an und das Hotel war geschlossen, also fragte ich mich, was ich tun sollte , aber ein Gast im Hotel hat es für mich geöffnet.　　 Das Innere des Hotels war sauber und ich fühlte mich sehr entspannt. Ich konnte früher einchecken und der Service war sehr gut, aber es gab nur sehr wenige Annehmlichkeiten, nur ein kleines Stück Seife, Shampoo und Spülung. Kein Handtuchwechsel oder zusätzliche Annehmlichkeiten für bis zu 7 Tage ... Ich dachte, es müsste feucht sein, weil es Sommer war, dachte aber, dass es nichts zu ändern sei, da Handtücher in Australien selten gewechselt werden (wegen Wasserknappheit und um Ressourcen zu schonen). Ich dachte, der Standort wäre etwa 10 Minuten vom Hauptstandort entfernt, aber mit einem Kinderwagen im Schlepptau war es ziemlich weit. Ich denke, es war ziemlich gut, wenn man die Reaktion des Hotelpersonals und die Sauberkeit bedenkt.

The Mantra Hotel has outstanding location. It is directly in front of the Woolworths supermarket - the best option in central Cairns. It's also virtually opposite (the esplanade side)the lagoon public beachfront swimming pool. Finally it's just a 5 minute walk from Cairns Cruise Terminal, with outstanding day trips to Green Island, Fitzroy Island and the Reef. I booked a sea view room. When you enter the room, you don't see the ocean, but a building across the road. However, the view from the balcony was amazing. The balcony overlooks the main features of lagoon on the sea front. During the day it is great view - the lagoon pools and sea in the background. At night you cannot see the sea (as to be expected) but you have the amazing lagoon lights, which makes it very desirable and even romantic. Our room was at the end of block, which overlooks a shopping mall (no car noise) - looking right from the balcony is the lagoon view and looking left is a mountain view. However, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm the sun comes directly into the balcony area, which means it unusable until sun sets. Of course if you don't mind baking in the sun on the balcony, this is not really a concern. The room itself is pretty basic. The mini fridge of OK and TV has domestic channels only - no cable TV for BBC/CNN. The bathroom is of a good size. There is combined shower & bath. However, when using the shower, it can slightly flood this bathroom. A shower curtain may be desirable because the glass panel is not sufficient enough. At $225 per night this hotel was not cheap and you can better deals by coming in the off-season OR going bit further down the esplanade, and choosing another hotel. The Mantra does have its own pool and it is wonderfully heated, with normal deck chairs you would expect at 4 star hotel. However, the pool gets very little natural sunlight, because it of its location between 2 buildings. Overall, the hotel has amazing location, and it is still recommended, despite the shortcomings mentioned. My final note: When we checked in, I was impressed with the level of service provided by the receptionist. She had a very welcome attitude and a wonderful personality.

Good value for money. When you book you must check before if you get a room with view to garden or corridor withno outside view. Nice pool are withtropical palm feeling. Very friebdly staff
