Unser erstes Eindruck war großartig. Schönes Lobby- und wunderbares Personal. Wir wurden über die Fahrt zur Zimmer am Nilen geschickt. Die Aussicht war großartig, aber die konstante Hügelung der Horn aufgrund der sehr nahe der Straße war nicht so groß. Das Wifi funktionierte sehr gut. Es gab viele Lagerungen im Zimmer. Und der Zimmerservice war ausgezeichnet & Essen war lecker. Wir hatten sogar ein Box Mittagessen für Frühstück am nächsten Morgen und es war voll von guten Dingen. Die Möbel waren sehr alt, aber das ist nicht ein Problem, wenn alles andere gut ist. Aber die Betten waren die hartesten, auf denen ich je geschlafen habe, mit hohen Kleidern, die wie ein volles Gepäck von Mehl gefühlt. Und dann gab es Schmutz. Ich bin nicht bekannt für meine Haushaltungskompetenzen, aber das fiel unter meinen Standards. Schmutz auf der Badezimmertür machte mich, es nicht zu berühren. Die Wände hatten Schmutz und Farben auf ihnen. Einige Dinge wurden gebrochen und Loch in den Wänden einfach hinterlassen. Die Gräben waren nicht sauber. Ich fühlte mich schmutzig, wenn ich etwas berührte. Das Bett schien jedoch sauber zu sein. Danke, wir waren nur für eine Nacht da, so lassen wir es gehen, wie es für uns von Tourfirma reserviert wurde. Wir würden nicht wieder da bleiben, trotz aller guten Dinge.

Pros The hotel facilities were absolutely beautiful with an amazing view. Traditional Nubian style house. Every corner makes you want to capture the space. We had a rocky start but the hotel staff tried to redeem themselves. We lost an apple watch which the hotel helped us get back ASAP before we reached Luxor. We are grateful for this. Cons Awful communication and hospitality. We were the only guests in the entire resort because of low season but still received shitty service. The hotel is in a secluded place making it difficult to reach.It’s on top of a mountain on a dusty rocky road. The hotel offers a tuktuk. We did our research prior and contacted the hotel to arrange getting to the hotel from the village and check in since we knew we’d land in the AMs. We were ignored. We arrived at the village meeting point at 1:45 but only ended up getting to our rooms around 3:50am because reaching the hotel via call and WhatsApp was so difficult. The staff had no sense of urgency. We were frustrated and anxious in this wellness resort. Our taxi driver refused to take us up the mountain and the tuktuk refused to take us because of our many bags (which is understandable). I’m very disappointed in the service and I know the staff has lots of potential to improve on their service delivery. The hotel needs to be more cognisant of their customer service and guests hospitality. Staying here was stressful. Recommended if you want aesthetic vibes,a beautiful picturesque hotel with good breakfast. Don’t recommend if you prioritise great guest services, comfortability and peace.

Wir hatten direkt im Nubian Palace zu viert für 3 Nächte 2 große Doppelzimmer gebucht. Bei unserer Ankunft gab es Probleme mit der Zimmerzuweisung, die wir aber mit dem Manager später lösen konnten. Es gibt sehr schöne große Zimmer, aber auch recht kleine Zimmer, in denen man Schwierigkeiten hat, das Gepäck abzustellen. Ein viel größeres tägliches Problem war die Wasserversorgung. Es gab während unseres Aufenthaltes selten Wasser im Bad dh Duschen oder Waschen war praktisch nicht möglich oder nur sehr eingeschränkt mit wenig kaltem Wasser oder Wasser aus der PET Flasche. Täglich gab es neue Erklärungen dafür und Versprechungen ...in 1h, am nächsten Morgen, Abend... etc so wurden wir jeden Tag vertröstet, aber auch nach 4 Tagen war keine Lösung in Sicht. Und morgens vor 12 Uhr war kein Verantwortlicher zu erreichen. Das hat uns ziemlich geärgert. Wlan gab es nur eingeschränkt auf der Terrasse. Das Personal war sehr freundlich vor allem Mohammed hat uns jeden Tag zuvorkommend bedient.

What sets the Kato Waidi Nubian house apart from its wonderful location inside the Nubian village and by the Nile riverside is the owner/manager Mahmud and his wonderful staff. Mahmud was super helpful when it came to guiding us about the things to do in and around Aswan and he also helped organize our trip to Abu Simbel and our drop to Luxor, at a very reasonable price. He gave us valuable tips on what to buy and where as well. Coming back to the resort, it is pretty big and very nicely done up. There are two sections - the main one is adjacent to the river and the second part is just behind it with at least one corner room with a full view of the river. The main section has a large open air dining area with many tables right next to the river. All the staff are extremely helpful and cooperative and the food is delicious as well. We tried the local dishes and really enjoyed them. The resort has a number of friendly cats and a couple of friendly dogs (which get bullied by the cats) and it was good fun to interact with them. We love animals and enjoyed the cats rubbing themselves against us below the table while we were eating but if someone is afraid of animals then this may be something to think about. Although we stayed in the annexe and not the main part of the resort, we also found it nice. All the buildings are built in the Nubian style of architecture with brickwork arches with no keystones. The rooms were functional and although a bit small, were ok. They gave a sense of what living in the village would be like. Our bathroom was large and nice too with a bathtub, although having a shower curtain would have helped. Anyway, I am nitpicking here. We loved our stay at the Kato Waidi and would love to stay there again.

Hier ist es relativ abgelegen, die Gesundheitsbedingungen in den Dörfern sind normal, vielleicht wird es in der Zukunft verbessert, aber die Umgebung, die ich umgehe, ist nicht so begeistert, es gibt mehr Schalen, vielleicht wird ihr Zimmer eine Schrottarbeit vor dem Aufenthalt durchführen, Aber nachdem ich mich für das Zimmer, das ich bereit war, zu stark gedacht hatte, ein Zimmer ohne Geschmack zu ersetzen, fand ich mindestens zehn Schüsseln in dem Inneren. Ich habe 20 Schläge gespielt, der Duft der Servicepersonals ist nicht brauchbar, ganz kurz, Wenn Sie kurze Aufenthalte vom Flughafen hierher machen, wäre es besser, wenn Sie von der Stadt hierher wohnen, es ist keine gute Wahl, die Mitarbeiter des Ladens sind enthusiastisch und freundlich, der Chef hat eine kleine Abweichung von dem Verkehrsangebot zum Abu Siber und ich weiß, dass ich es wirklich weiß.

Das Hotel liegt direkt am Nil. Der Preis ist günstig, die Zimmer sind komfortabel und der Besitzer und das Personal sind sehr gastfreundlich. Es ist eine gute Wahl, hier zu übernachten, wenn Sie nach Assuan kommen!

Wonderful experience! This place is the best place to stay when you are in Aswan if you like peace and quite and beautiful views. The location is magical right in front of Philae temple, You reach the hotel by taxi boat (check in and check out are free drive) You are far from the city center please keep this in mind! But for us this was perfect. we wanted a place to relax in a nice quiet environment to end our holiday in busy Egypt. THE STAFF All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. The service was great! The welcome hibiscus drink was a nice extra touch! THE HOTEL GROUNDS The hotel is situated on a private island in front of Philae temple. The buildings are build in a traditional way with respect for nature. We really loved the use of natural materials it gives an extra connection with the environment. The Vegetable garden is a beautoful oasis. they grow their own food to use in the restaurant. We also loved the cats and dogs (Rita and Anton) They have a private beach with river access and also kayaks. THE RESTAURANT The restaurant location is breathtaking, right in front of Philae temple. Its not only a beautiful place, the food is amazing to! And you can tell because of the large groups who visit the restaurant for lunch when they end their visit in the temple. We had lunch and diner in the restaurant and it was perfect! Very fresh and delicious and a lot of choice on the menu. Breakfast is also very good. At night you can watch the lightshow on the temple. THE ROOM The room is very basic but good. It is small but for us perfect. The bed is comfortable and the balcony beautiful with nile views and even the temple complex! The bathroom was very basic, the room floated while showering. There is no wifi in the room but that is absolute not a problem for us. TRANSFERS The taxi boat transfers were very good. we had no problems with our transportation to the city and the airport. They even arranged a boat for us at 3u30 in the morning because we had an early flight to Cairo. They also made us a breakfast box to take on the plane! Es dauert 30 Minuten, bis Ben Bens Boot vor dem Hotel ankommt! Besondere Aufmerksamkeit! Der gesamte Service ist sehr gut, es gibt einen Gastgeber-Getränk. Sie werden Ihnen helfen, Ihre Gepäck in Ihrem Zimmer zu nehmen, der gesamte Service ist voll, Wenn du etwas anrufen willst, warte mal. Sie haben ein Essen gegessen! Es ist sehr entspannt und sehr zu empfehlen!
