I don't even want to give one star, it is by default. We had one of the worst experiences ever. We traveled for an urgent travel meeting, where we got to know about this place by a friend of ours. Before we left Colombo, we called and made a booking. It was for a triple room. And we told we would be arriving late at night after 1.30 AM approximately. Because of the traffic and the long drive took us to reach the destination by 3.00 AM. Once we arrived, we have shown a room. But everything else was fine. We had a great sleep. We thought of having breakfast in the morning, but none of the staff members seemed to greet or treat about it, so we went out to have breakfast. While on the way, we got a call from the manager to check whether we were inside the room. We thought they would ask about the breakfast or tea, but it was regarding the money. And we quickly came back to pay an advance and to pay the rest while we were leaving. That's when we got to know that manager wanted us to check out by 11.30 AM. We were shocked, and we asked what's the reason. He was talking in an insulting manner, saying that they'd already given this place to some foreign people, so we had to leave. And they told us the standard checkout time is 11.30, so be it. We spoke to them politely we will pay if you need more money, we just arrived here, and none of your staff informed this earlier. We even called you before leaving Colombo. And we asked what we were supposed to do now? And we are Advertising Agency who does all sort of Video, Documentary & Film making. We thought of filming the place and give a good video for them, as it was a pandemic time. And we said that too, and we got another rude answer, Saying my boss is into Tourism, so we don't need your video and stuff. You can pay and leave. We felt offended by the way he spoke to us, and we told him that we would write a review regarding this situation. And he said, please do whatever you want, but pay me. And I asked one question what the difference between the new client and us is? Is it the skin color you are talking about? No answer from him. It was embarrassing to us, so we decided to leave that place after paying. And we left the area around 10.00 AM. As Sri Lankans, we got very insulting treatment. I thought people who are in this business had got hospitality and kindness. And it's nothing free, that we pay too. I see that there is always a difference between a Dollar and a Rupee. I am writing this because our entire team's mood spoiled once we encountered a situation like that. We never expect this to happen to anyone, from Colombo to Arugambay, a long drive. I hope the management take some action regarding this. But I doubt it because of the way he spoke in an insulting manner. I guess this place is only suitable for white skin people who come from abroad. I hope you get my point. Thank you.
