Set in lovely grounds this imposing building is full of history but like some many hotels of this age needs a big face lift. The only modernised area I came across was the toilets just off reception. The Main bar area with leather bound (not certain if faux?) and chesterfields is a lovely place in which to sit and relax with a drink. Looking up there is a balcony which is walked along to reach the bedrooms thereby offered a different perspective when looking down. I booked a king room with breakfast and asked if could have a nice view, and was told there were only a couple of rooms with poor views anyway so I need not worry?! Well the room we had number 14 had four small windows looking out on to the rear of the hotel. And the view included a heavily wooded area of wheelie bins - so much for the view; in hindsight we should have asked for another room. The first morning the breakfast was a 'help yourself' and all of the food was just warm - not hot. The coffee poured from a jug was also only warm. However on the second morning my full english was cooked to order and very tasty, but again the coffee was only warm. This was remedied when I asked a waitress if she would change it. The room was spacious though and the bed comfy, shower adequate and tea and coffee facilities acceptable. Staff were helpful and generally cheerful. Lastly it is no longer run by Best Western. A very interesting place to stay if visiting Nottingham and not too far to drive in to the town.

Ein erstaunlicher Aufenthalt im Doppelbaum!! Wir lieben dieses Hotel, der beste Ort, um in Nottingham zu bleiben. Wir verbrachten mehrere Abende im Hotelbar, Robin und LJ waren immer bereit, uns zu beobachten, Empfehlungen zu geben und die zusätzlichen Meile zu gehen, um sicherzustellen, dass wir eine tolle Erfahrung hatten. Wir werden sicher wieder sein!!

Ja, ich hatte einen wirklich guten Aufenthalt im Hilton, obwohl das ursprüngliche Doppelzimmer, das ich zugewiesen hatte, war klein, so dass wir endlich für einen König Deluxe, der schön war, zu zahlen. Genießt meinen Aufenthalt und ich hoffe, hier in Zukunft wieder zu buchen. Rein, freundliches Personal und perfekt gelegen!!

Ich wünschte, ich hätte die negativen Bewertungen dieses Hotels vor meiner Buchung aufmerksam gemacht. Ich habe £153 für eine einzige Nacht des Elends hier gezahlt, wenn es andere Nächte etwa £35-40 sein scheinen -- aber selbst bei diesem billigeren Preis würde ich es immer noch wie eine Pest vermeiden. Das Hotel hat keine Parkplätze, und auf der Straße war nicht vorhanden. Die Korridore auf unserem Stock rutschten, mit einem Hinweis auf ********* Rauch. Auf den ersten Blick war unser Zimmer gut. Anständige Größe, große Fenster usw. Eine nähere Inspektion jedoch ergab: - rote Farben auf der Wand, die wie eine Art Schlamm aussehen, aber wer weiß. - braune Farben auf der Wand, ich schütte, um zu denken, was diese waren - der Schlauch auf der Küchensänke war nicht sicher an den Sänke gebunden und kam aus, als ich versuchte es zu verwenden - die Dusche-Züchter, die von Rohreinzug geräuchert - das Badezimmer brauchte ein tiefes sauberes, Viele (wie) öffentliche Haare auf dem Boden, und allgemeine ”Duschegewehre” aufbauen - es gab etwa 20% eines vollen Toilettenrolles verfügbar, ohne andere geliefert - das Bett war präsentierbar, aber hatte lange schwarze Haare in und unter dem Blatt - das Blatt war zu klein und entdeckte die Matratze während der Verwendung - die Wände im Zimmer waren Papier-dünnen Zusätzlich, und ich kann das Hotel nicht wirklich dafür schuldig, Die nächste Tür ist eine Studentenbar, die sehr laut war die meisten der Nacht, aber nichts im Vergleich zu den Menschen im Zimmer neben uns, die sehr laut Musik bis 1am spielten. Nicht die entspannende Nacht vor einer 13.1 Meilen Lauf wollten wir!
