Nach unserem Aufenthalt in einer Diamond Suite im Jahr 2016, die für uns ein hervorragendes Paradies war, haben wir beschlossen, in diesem Jahr für einen ganzen Monat zurückzukommen und natürlich hatten wir die gleichen hohen Erwartungen. Der Anfang war ein bisschen so: Wir mussten um tägliche Hausaufbewahrung (die nicht standardmäßig ist) und die Entfernung des Gepäcks (weil die vielen Ältesten) mussten ein gebrochenes Fernsehen ersetzt und einige gebrochene Fensterschattungen ersetzt werden, so dass niemand konnte Um ins Teezimmer zu sehen. Auch wir waren ein wenig enttäuscht über die Szene. Die schöne Helipad und die schönen Quellen funktionierten nicht mehr und 1 Schwimmbad mit erstaunlicher Aussicht auf den Ozean war weg. WLAN war und ist immer noch ein NoGo. Sie erhalten einen Gutschein für 1-2 oder 3 Tage, der nur auf 1 Router verwendet werden kann. Es ist so langsam und manchmal mit schwerem Regen nicht alles funktioniert Das sollte wirklich verbessert werden. Mit 2 Personen und 3 Geräten benötigen wir fast 30 Gutscheine. Wir verstehen es war OFF-Saison aber jedes Mal, wenn wir zum Restaurant zum Abendessen gingen wir hörten : HAVE NOT , NOT HAVE ( Während der ganzen Monate gab es kein Fisch und kein Schwein ) Das ist traurig : Wir hatten immer noch eine große en en Entspannungszeit und wir genossen unsere Zimmer mit herrlicher Aussicht und unserem eigenen privaten Strand. Das Personal war hilfreich ( solange Sie sie fragen ) und wir hatten eine sehr angenehme Zeit mit den Fahrern, da wir sie zu einem Bodle-Kämpfe auf unsere Kosten in ihrem eigenen Privatplatz eingeladen haben, was eine Erfahrung nicht zu vergessen war. Nein, aber das hat nichts mit dem Resort zu tun. Boracay ist nicht mehr das gleiche wie vorher. Es geht nichts auf den Stränden mehr und nichts ist erlaubt. Keine mehr Filedanzer, keine Sandschlösser, keine mehr Musik, keine mehr Strand essen NICHT. Diese Insel wird bald tot sein und keine mehr Touristen kommen. So schämend. Die lokalen Behörden tun genau das Gegenteil von dem, was für diese Insel und insbesondere für ihre Menschen notwendig ist.

We came back to Boracay for the first time in fifteen years and had a fantastic experience. The island, itself, has gotten more developed and much too congested for our liking. There were large hotels, restaurants playing music entirely too loud and even a small mall. However, the Sands Hotel made us feel like we guests had the island all to ourselves. It is a quaint, family-friendly hotel with a stunning view, incredibly hospitable and attentive staff and all the amenities of a larger hotel. I had a different massage every day in its spa and got pampered with a poolside manicure and pedicure! I simply cannot say enough about how wonderful our stay was in spite of all the hustle and bustle outside from the other hotels. I would be remiss if I didn’t commend the new manager, Carlo. My husband and I have traveled the world and have been to countless hotels yet never have we met a manager whose sole purpose in his job is to be an experience maker. Carlo’s passion was clearly to give his guests a wonderful experience to last a lifetime. He genuinely solicited feedback from his guests to ensure their satisfaction. It was not a matter of formality, he actually acted immediately on the input whether it was a small menu change or a larger matter of service such as arranging door to door transportation back to the airport. We absolutely will stay at the Sands Hotel the next time we come to the island. Thank you, Carlo, for being an excellent experience maker!

This trip was especially special as it was my Best Friends One year Anniversary And Her 35th Birthday and My 40th Birthday trip that I had painstakingly searched for months for the perfect hotel that suited all 4 of our Party. I insanely rely on reviews and Social Media as a guide since this was my first trip to Boracay and was basically booking ”blind”. I really wanted a few things. 1. A clean room and 2. A few feet from the Beach. Upon Arrival I was greeted by lovely faces and cheerful staff. Mind you, I just travelled for 19 hours so, I was Exhausted, hot And annoyed that I paid for front door service from the jetty and basically end up having to walk.. anyway. They took me to my room, which did not excite me. Of course as someone who looked at every single image online and read every review, my expectations were to receive the rooms (I booked 2) that were all over the interwebs. And could have booked at another hotel in an instant- I refused the rooms given. Donald, the Manager, with the most friendly, calm demeanor talked to me in such a way that seemed to calm and sooth me making me realize that I am now in paradise and offered me Garden bungalows for this issue- most likely not his but more so Booking.coms for using images that were that of a higher grade room. All in all. Our entire 8 day stay, truly was magical in every way. THANK YOU DONALD, STAFF AND ALL THE CUTE DOGS AND KITTIES (that I have named and loved). We will return.

I like hotel-hopping whenever I'm on vacation. My favorite ones so far are the ones in Siargao and bgc but Astoria Current here in Boracay is one of my favorites now because of the great ambiance and personnel. Vibes are everything. Aesthetic, music, and people make your vacation worth it and it's 100% worth it here. Thanks also to Kevin for being great and accommodating! 💛

Eine wahre Oase der Ruhe und Erholung. Das Personal ist an Freundlichkeit und Engagement nicht zu übertreffen. Die Villen sind wunderschön und wer Ruhe sucht, ist hier definitiv richtig. Die ganze Anlage ist sehr gepflegt inmitten eines tropischen Gartentraums. Wir hatten täglich eine Behandlung im Spa gebucht, welches eines der Besten seiner Art ist, nicht nur auf den Philippinen. Excellente Therapeutinnen mit unvergleichlichem Geschick. Ein wahres Erlebnis für die Sinne. Auch das liebevoll zubereitete Frühstück ist toll und alles super frisch. Das Mandala Spa & Resort kann uneingeschränkt weiterempfohlen werden. 5 Sterne sind für diesen Inseltraum definitiv zu wenig ☺️
